Russia’s Maksim ‘MAMOHT_T’ Mamonov has been ranked as high as #5 in the PocketFives Rankings, but until Tuesday, he’d never won a COOP title. Mamonov beat 2,376 other players to win a PokerStars Spring Championship of Online Poker title and the second-largest score of his online poker career.

Mamonov won Event #36 High ($1,050 Six No Limit Hold’em PKO) by beating Sean ‘MonkeyBudg’ Prendiville heads up. Mamonov and Prendiville made a deal with Manonov earning $74,117.84 and Prendiville scoring $74,248.19. Manonov also picked up $42,483.42 in bounties. ‘Wazaahun‘ finished third for $42,450.96.

Currently ranked #8 in the world, ‘hello_totti‘ is likely to see a jump in the rankings after winning Event #38 High ($2,100 Four Max No Limit Hold’em) for $112,198.72. Canada’s ‘SinKarma’, who won the WCOOP version of this same event last September, finished runner-up for $75,689.79. Third place finisher Mathias ‘Cashcid Linc’ Maasberg wound up with $51,060.65.

Recognized as one of the best tournament players in the world, ‘bencb789‘ proved it on Tuesday by winning Event #69 High ($1,050 No Limit Hold’em) for $96,735.51. Michael ‘merla888’ Gathy finished one spot behind him for $72,130.82. BBZ coach Jon ‘luckyfish89’ Clark took third place for $53,784.50.
