More PokerStars Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP) action took place on Tuesday, May 12, but the day was more about what’s to come than what happened. Only a few of the day’s events played to a completion, as several were two-day competitions that set up for big finishes on Wednesday.

Mike ‘SirWatts’ Watson was one of the Tuesday winners, taking the title in Event #51-H: $1,050 NL 2-7 Single Draw, $75K Gtd. Watson topped a field of 84 entries to win $22,050. The win was Watson’s fourth SCOOP title and he beat Alexander ‘joiso’ Kostritsyn in heads-up play.

Event #55-H: $530 NL [Progressive KO], $350K Gtd was reached an end, as ‘P0KERPR02.0‘ topped the field of 1,066 entries to win $36,672.56 plus $37,229.38 in bounties. ‘PaGaOVelhinho‘ was runner-up for $36,671.78 plus $7,809.57 in bounties.

Now, onto the events that will conclude on Wednesday.

In Event #52-M: $2,100 NL [8-Max], $750K Gtd, a field of 440 entries generated an $880,000 prize pool. After Tuesday, 25 players remained with ‘srxakgirona‘ as the chip leader with 4,672,294 in chips. Adrian ‘Amadi_017’ Mateos is second in chips with 3,451,272. Sitting in fifth chip position is Andras ‘probirs’ Nemeth with 2,672,844. This tournament is set to award $157,734.78 to the winner.

In Event #52-H: $25,000 NL [8-Max, Super High Roller], $2M Gtd, a field of 89 entries has been whittled down to the final 10. Andras ‘probirs’ Nemeth leads the way with 6,061,664, so he could have quite the day given that he’s fifth in chips in Event #52-M, too. In this event, Talal ‘raidalot’ Shakerchi is second with 3,225,908 and Ole ‘wizowizo’ Schemion is third with 2,560,483. The event generated a $2.182 million prize pool and the winner is set to take home $521,597.77.

Patrick ‘pads1161’ Leonard leads the final 14 players from a field of 117 entries in Event #53-H: $2,100 PLO8 [6-Max], $200K Gtd. He finished the first day with 1,572,152 in chips. There is $52,605.66 up top.

Joris ‘BillLewinsky’ Ruijs finished with 3,122,502 in chips on the first day of Event #54-H: $1,050 NL, $500K Gtd. First place is set at $107,503.65 with 71 players remaining from a field of 609.

Another player who could be in for a very big Wednesday is Joao ‘Naza114’ Vieira. Vieira is fifth in chips in Event #52-H: $25,000 NL [8-Max, Super High Roller], $2M Gtd, seventh in chips in Event #53-H: $2,100 PLO8 [6-Max], $200K Gtd, and sixth in chips in Event #54-H: $1,050 NL, $500K Gtd.

After winning his third SCOOP title in four days, Connor ‘blanconegro’ Drinan maneuvered his way to seventh in chips with 71 players remaining in Event #54.
