There were plenty of six-figure scores to be had during the 2021 PokerStars Spring Championship of Online Poker on Monday night as a number of million-dollar prize pool tournaments crowned winners including one that saw a former #1-ranked pro earn one of the largest cashes of his career.

It was back-to-back victories for Patrick ‘pads1161’ Leonard on Monday as, for the second night in a row, the former #1-ranked pro worked his way through a final table full of top-tier talent to book the win. While it’s nice for Leonard to now have five career SCOOP wins, undoubtedly for the UK grinder, he’s even more thrilled with the $258,007.27 first-place prize that came with it. Getting to win number five was no easy feat either with players like Linus ‘LLinusLLove’ Loeliger, Damian ‘pampa27’ Salas, and PokerStars ambassador Benjamin ‘Spraggy’ Spragg still in contention with two tables left.

The final table featured a host of talented pros including Tuen ‘tinnoemulder’ Mulder (8th), Artur ‘marathur1’ Martirosyan (5th), and Dario ’Secret_M0de’ Sammartino (4th).

Former #1 Bert ‘girafganger7’ Stevens climbed into third place which was good for a total score of $99,561.58, bounties included. Russian pro Arsenii ‘hello_totti’ Malinov finished as the runner-up and earned $107,772.69 plus another $40,703.13 in bounties for $148,475.82.

Longtime pro Noah ‘Exclusive’ Boeken won his third career SCOOP title after outlasting the 143-entry field of Event #58-H ($5,200 PLO, 6-Max, High Roller). Boeken, with two other SCOOP victories in PLO and 8-Game, added to his non-No Limit poker resume with the victory and six-figure score of $157,426.77. Canada’s ‘roo_400’ took second place honors and also cleared six figures with a $121,004.77 payday. ‘SoGotPwned’, who earned a spot on the podium back in Event #21-H, finished in third place once again, this time winning $93,009.37.

Oliver ‘sk2ll_m0dR’ Weis out of Austria not only topped the 937 entry field of Event #62-H ($530 NLHE, PKO, Freezeout), but he faced down one of online poker’s very best in heads-up play to do so. Weis racked up the bounties in this one, including the final elimination of Sweden’s Simon ‘C Darwin2’ Mattsson in order to capture his second career SCOOP title and a total score of $66,097, bounties included. Mattsson, who has already picked up a pair of SCOOP victories this year, settled for second place and collected a total of $35,649.12. Bulgarian grinder ‘ludako123’ finished in third place and walked away with a combined haul of $29,822.76.

There was a chop at the end of Event #63-H ($2,100 NLHE, 8-Max, Sunday Warm-Up SE) as Claas ‘SsicK_OnE’ Segebrecht and the UK’s ‘xMFPx’ split up the lion’s share of the over $1 million prize pool. When all was said and done though, Segebrecht picked up the final $10,000 left for the eventual winner and walked away with a total prize of $176,351.14 and his fourth career SCOOP title. For their part of the deal, ‘xMFPx’ booked a $156,201.45 score roughly $15K above what second place was supposed to pay. Left out of the deal was third-place finished ‘Kohlrabi7’ who still earned the handsome sum of $104,687.37.

Lander ‘tua133’ Lijo’s second career SCOOP title was a long time coming as the Spanish player was the last man standing in Event #66-H ($1,050 NLHE, 8-Max), nine years after he last took home a SCOOP trophy. Back then he won an $11 buy-in NLHE Rebuy for just over $42,500. Today he’s playing in High events and on Monday he took home booked a six-figure score of $136,630.79. It continues to be a solid series for Canada’s Jonah ‘RaiseUpBlind’ Silverstein who, along with his win in Event 32-H, booked his third runner-up finish in a High event for $100,210.18. ‘nacho2390’ from Argentina claimed third place and added $73,509.83.

Other winners on Monday included ‘Carster’ (Event #69-H), ‘le_chefe28’ (Event #58-L), ‘jmslee21’ (Event #58-M), ‘BetoHas’ (Event #62-L), ‘RodriDiaz3’ (Event #62-M), ‘DanyVCD’ (Event #63-L), ‘inca7bar’ (Event #63-M), ‘kleinebakker007’ (Event #64-M), ‘rafayamaki’ (Event #66-L), ‘internet93o’ (Event #66-M), ‘davey86’ (Event #69-L), and ‘Pye_Face21’ (Event #69-M).
