Four final tables and two wins highlighted by a heads-up battle with the #2-ranked player in the world made for a great Sunday for #1-ranked Andras 'probirs' Nemeth. (PokerStars photo)

PocketFives.com world-ranked #1 Andras Nemeth had a Sunday to remember after the Hungarian cashed for over $450,000, following four final table appearances, and two gold medals.

The current top two online players in the world faced off heads-up in the PokerStars $2,100 Sunday High Roller, and the match went as the rankings would have suggested. A $196,000 prize pool was created after 98 high rollers took their virtual seat and among the final nine were PokerStars Pro Igor Kurganov, ‘C.Darwin2‘, ‘hello_totti‘, ‘omaha4rollz‘ and current world-ranked #3 Patrick Leonard. ‘bigbluffzinc‘ departed in third place for $27,688, which allowed ‘Lena900‘ and Andras ‘probirs’ Nemeth to agree on a money-deal. Current world #1 Nemeth then got the better of 2018 PocketFives.com POY ‘Lena900’ and took away a top prize worth $45,240.

vladulaNko‘ was this week’s PokerStars $530 Bounty Builder High Roller PKO champion, and banked $52,575 + $21,098 in bounties. Michael ‘imluckbox’ Addamo took fifth place from the 1,357 player-field for $15,176 + $10,967, as fellow high-roller Ole ‘wizowizo’ Schemion banked $28,247 + $20,537 in third place. Patrick ‘prepstyle71’ Serda was the unlucky final player to lose their bounty and settled for $38,536 + $11,331 as runner-up.

FoldYourEdge‘ and ‘letsgoagain‘ became partypoker Sunday Phased Final champions after the introduction of the new weekly tournaments. The ‘Phased’ events gave players the chance to play the online Day 1 throughout the week, and compete in the Sunday Final for a chance at big money returns.

‘FoldYourEdge’ took down the $530 Sunday Phased Final for the biggest share of the $273,350 prize pool worth $50,952. ‘Gravity‘ took third for $24,863, before ‘kBetExpl0F0ftyK‘ lost at the last to bank $36,218 as runner-up.

And in the $109 Sunday Phased Final, ‘letsgoagain‘ topped the 1,013 player-field to win $18,189 after a heads-up victory over ‘SuperMaza‘, who took away $13,028 for their efforts.

The GGPoker GGS3 continued allowing their player pool to play some of the largest weekly online tournaments with buy-ins reaching $25,000 once again.

Omar Bingo‘ was the biggest Sunday winner after they banked $344,893 for victory in the GGPoker GGS #157: $25,000 $500k Gtd. The prize pool hit $808,500 after 33 super high rollers went to battle, with ‘StacknNvrSlackn‘ and Andras ‘PokerBluff1’ Nemeth cashing before ‘Picasso16‘ sealed third place for $128,268. ‘NOMAMES‘ was then unable to add yet another GGpoker title to their name, and departed as runner-up for $203,780.

The second $25,000 buy-in of the day saw Nemeth cash for a second time, and they forged on to seal the gold medal for $226,237, following a money-deal with ‘StacknNvrSlackn’, who exited with $205,206.

However, Nemeth narrowly missed out on a third Sunday title after taking second place in the GGPoker GGS #170: $10,000 $400k Gtd for $104,848, with ‘chan593‘ picking up the win for $170,515.
