Arturs 'artschgamble' Scerbaks came out the big winner after the PokerStars Sunday Million was chopped three ways.

partypoker ambassadors Joao Simao, Anatoly Filatov, and Kristen Bicknell all won gold medals on an eventful Sunday, as Roman Romanovsky took down the 888poker $1,050 Whale for the fourth time.

A three-way deal in this week’s PokerStars Sunday Million led to Germany’s Arturs ‘ARTSchGamble’ Scerbaks taking this week’s title alongside $134,333. The tournament attracted 6,058 entrants which produced a prize pool worth $1,211,600. Well-known high-stakes player Talal ‘raidalot’ Shakerchi had a deep run but ultimately fell in sixth place for a $26,301 score, before the Brazilian duo of Taka ‘ManafesTT’ Tamura and Pedro ‘FlipMaster08’ Paulo hit the rail in fifth ($37,478) and fourth ($53,405) place respectively.

The final three remaining players then agreed to a money-deal before play resumed for the title battle. ‘The39player‘ departed with the bronze medal for $98,326, before Scerbaks saw off the challenge from the U.K.’s Andy ‘andyh26’ Holman, who fell in second place for $106,417, to take the win.

Naza114‘ defeated ‘Malaka$tyle‘ heads-up in the PokerStars $2,100 Sunday High Roller to bank $65,069. The field was set at 155 entrants and Gerald ‘viking47’ Ringe, Scott ‘Aggro Santos’ MargeresonRicardo ‘riversouza Souza, Stephen ‘stevie444’ Chidwick, world ranked #1 ‘Lena900‘ and RaiseYourEdge Head Coach ‘bencb789‘ all came and went at the final table before Brazil’s ‘cassiopak‘ claimed third place for $38,941. ‘Malaka$tyle’ became the final player to fall and banked $50,337 leaving ‘Naza114’ as the victor.

Kristen ‘krissyb24’ Bicknell just missed out on a second Sunday win of the day after ‘mikki696‘ got the better of the Canadian heads-up in the PokerStars $2,100 Sunday Cooldown. Earlier on in the day, Bicknell took the gold medal in the Bigger $215 for $19,883 and continued her good form onto the Cooldown final table. ‘Lena900‘, among others, departed from the final nine before ‘TiltMeBig‘ exited in third place $22,025 + $1,000 (in bounties). There was plenty to the play as Bicknell battled ‘Mikki696’ for the top prize alongside mega money bounties, but the partypoker ambassador was ultimately confirmed as runner-up for $28,508 + $27,296, with ‘Mikki696’ adding $36,898 + $44,546 to their bankroll.

partypoker ambassador Joao Simao prevented Jonathan ‘proudflop’ Proudfoot from making it back-to-back Sunday titles on the partypoker client. Proudfoot took down the partypoker 150k Gtd Main Event last week for $29,631 but had to settle for the silver medal this time around in the partypoker $1,050 Sunday HR Bounty Hunter. Proudfoot added another $19,440 + $11,319 (in bounties) to his bankroll after the Brazilian Simao came through the final battle to take the win for $26,865 + $26,521.

SpiritDNA‘ came through a 117 player field in the partypoker $2,600 Super Sunday High Roller to bank an eye-watering $71,662. Jonathan Proudfoot continued his rich vein of form and made a final table appearance, falling in sixth place for $14,265. ‘orud74‘ and ‘aLiNeNok1617‘ took fifth and fourth place respectively before ‘madgenius87‘ hit the rail in third for $36,562. ‘z-boooo‘ then succumb to the pressure from ‘SpiritDNA’ and exited in second place for $51,187.

But ‘SpiritDNA‘ wasn’t done for the day and made a second final table appearance in the partypoker $1,050 Sunday HR Bounty Hunter. The prize pool was set at $253,980 after 249 entrants took part and after ‘Maddonaa‘ exited in third place for $13,719 + $3,217, Anatoly ‘NL_Profit’ Filatov was looking to become the second partypoker ambassador of the day to win a title, but in his way was ‘SpiritDNA’ who was looking for a double gold medal. Ultimately it was to be the Russian Filatov who continued his hot streak in 2018, and took the win for $29,257 + $30,092, with ‘SpiritDNA’ banking $19,297 + $14,297 in second place.

World ranked #8 Roman ‘Romeopro33’ Romanovsky took down the 888poker $1,050 Whale for the fourth time in his career to edge closer to the $1m earnings on the client. The tournament came with $50,000 guaranteed, but after 75 entrants took part the final prize pool was set at $75,000. ‘Kannwas‘ took third place for $11,250, before Romanovsky found himself heads-up in the Whale for the fifth time this year, previously winning and losing both twice. The Ukrainian once again went the distance this time around as he got the better of ‘PokerJoe332‘ who took away $16,875 as runner-up and ‘Romeopro33’ claimed the $26,250 first-place prize.
