The final Sunday of online poker action in 2018 saw former PocketFives.com #1 ranked player Patrick ‘pads1161’ Leonard bank over $112,000 after he achieved both a Gold and Silver medal finish.

In the biggest event of the day, the PokerStars Sunday Million, 5,597 entrants created a $1,119,400 prize pool with former WCOOP champion ‘Erickie‘ going the distance to win $151,184. ‘Gossimer007‘ departed in third place for $74,452, before Canada’s ‘pisky16‘ lost out to Holland’s ‘Erickie’ during heads-up and settled for $106,092 as runner-up.

The PokerStars $2,100 Sunday High Roller title went to the Patrick Leonard after he came through a 98 player field. PokerStars Team Pro Liv Boeree was the first player to depart from the final table of nine before ‘ga207‘ and ‘imluckbox‘ also hit the rail. Scott ‘AggroSantos’ Margereson and Connor ‘blanconegro’ Drinian then took sixth and fifth place respectively followed by Conor ‘1_conor_b_1’ Beresford in fourth place. The U.K.’s ‘bk0705‘ just missed out on a place in the heads-up battle and exited in third place for $27,688, which left Leonard to get the better of ‘huang33‘, who took away $36,011, leaving Leonard to win the $46,837 top prize.

But Leonard wasn’t done for the day and continued his form into the PokerStars Winter Series 29 – High: $530 NLHE, $500K Gtd event. This time around however there was a much bigger field for Leonard to compete against with 1,155 entrants creating a $577,500 prize pool. But the Brit navigated his way into the top three once more and found himself in a second heads-up battle of the day after America’s Grayson ‘gray31’ Ramage hit the rail with a bronze medal for $47,060. But it turned out to be bittersweet for Leonard, who was unable to complete the double and exited as runner-up for $66,018, as ‘0409479‘ took the win for $92,614.

Canada’s #1 ranked player Connor ‘blanconegro’ Drinan banked over $129,000 for victory in the PokerStars Winter Series 28 – High: $2,100 NLHE [8-Max, Progressive KO, Sunday Warm-Up] event. Drinan battled through a 382 player-field and a heads-up battle with Russia’s ‘Futti18‘ to win $69,830 + $60,199 in bounties, with ‘Futti18’ taking home $52,597 + $38,480 in bounties for second place.

The U.K.’s Stuart ‘guitey’ Guite recorded his biggest score to date after he won the PokerStars Winter Series 28 – Med: $215 NLHE [8-Max, Progressive KO, Sunday Warm-Up] following a three-way deal. The prize pool was set at $736,400 after 3,682 entrants took part, and when the field had been reduced to the final three, a money-deal was agreed to. Brazil’s Vinícius ‘vinimiranda7’ Miranda then departed with the bronze medal for $38,444 + $11,395 in bounties, before Guite saw off the challenge from ‘sorakasa’ heads-up. The latter received  $38,435 + $6,945 in bounties for their share of the deal, and Guite banked $40,114 + $28,652 in bounties along with the title.

TheBlack_sheep‘ and ‘Chelsea72‘ agreed to a heads-up deal in the partypoker $2,600 Super Sunday High Roller $150k Gtd. ‘nipa3p3‘ exited in third place for $21,750 before the final two agreed to a deal. ‘Chelsea72’ then departed as runner-up for $39,084 and ‘TheBlack_sheep’ banked $42,665 as victor.

‘Sentapied99’ won the partypoker $1,050 Sunday HR Bounty Hunter for $17,357 + $23,903 in bounties following a heads-up battle with ‘KERRMODE’. ‘JonasLuck_’ walked away with $9,060 + $2,535 in bounties after they finished third in the 151 player-field. ‘KERRMODE’ was then the final player to hit the rail and banked $12,457 + $5,362, which left ‘Sentapied99’ to take the spoils.

Over on 888poker, there were wins for both ‘MisterN411‘ and ‘KimberSlice.’

‘MisterN411’ added $20,000 to their bankroll after they came through a 48 player-field in the $1,050 The $50,000 Whale. Ivan ‘Hurrrrican3’ Gabrieli took second place for  $13,500, withkaycrusher’ earning $7,500 in third.

And in the 888poker $215 Sunday Mega Deep BONANZA, ‘KimberSlice’ defeated Rick ‘WhosToClaim’ Trigg heads-up to win $23,750. Trigg took away $17,000 in second place with ‘MOI_est_JEAN‘ banking $13,125 in third.
