It was another big day on the Sunday Majors grind this weekend as boosted prize pools in some of the most popular tournaments on the schedule continued to offer players opportunities at big-time scores.

Once again this weekend, PokerStars ran their $109 Sunday Million as a 2-Day tournament with a $3 million guarantee, promising the winner of the event close to a quarter-million payday. The tournament will be played out on Monday as 340 of the 33,684 starting field return to battle for a number of six-figure scores.

The $215 partypoker MILLION saw a small drop in entrants as 998 players qualified for the final day in comparison to the 1,010 of last weekend. In the end, ’SmbCall911’ was declared the official winner after making a deal with ‘better_than_you’ for the bulk of the prize pool. ’SmbCall911’ locked up $182,725 as the winner while ‘better_than_you’ took home $146,500 as the runner-up. Right behind them, falling in third place was ‘Ya3thabe’ who ended up earning $87,083.

The PokerStars Sunday $215 Warm-Up also pulled in slightly fewer runners this week as ‘necgaidziai’ topped the 1,220 entries to take home the $38,566 first-place prize. ‘Fifty99’ finished in second place for $27,729 while ‘johnf90’ took home the bronze and $19,937 for his efforts.

The PokerStars $215 Bounty Builder saw a nice bump in entries as 1,906 players, up from 1,839 last week, pushed the prize pool just north of $381,000. ‘normanolly’ picked up $24,457 for the win plus an additional $23,691 in bounties for a total score of $48,148. ‘Brryann’ lost the heads-up battle but still banked $24,455.46 as the runner-up as well as $5,589 in bounties. Third place belonged to ‘IsnapUcry’ who finished the tournament earning $14,510 plus $6,250 in bounties.

Things are also headed in the right direction on 888poker as their marqueee Sunday Mega Deep cleared it’s $100K guarantee with a $107.300 prize pool. ‘Evian38888’ outlasted the 2,350 player field to claim the $19,689 first-place prize. They were followed by runner-up ‘JBHInfinity’ who padded their bankroll by $14,056. ‘Mrsatisfying’ should be also satisfied with himself, taking home $10,622 for third place.
