This week’s Podcast features interviews with Pete “The Beat” Giordano and Gary “GB2005” Bogdanski. Pete Giordano (TheBeat, PocketFives.com Online Tournament Player Ranking #12) has been around the game of poker for years and has had a great deal of success at online and live poker. Having played heads-up against high profile players Phil Ivey and Daniel Negreanu back before they were household names, Pete has a unique perspective on what it takes to succeed long-term in poker. He was also in the Top 5 of the PokerStars.com Tournament Leaderboard race in 2002, 2003, and 2004.

TheBeat will defend his online ranking on our show. Apart from that, he also spoke to us very candidly about the “self-promotion” posts that he made almost a year ago, which drew fire from many PocketFivers. Most players close to Pete acknowledge that he’s a genuinely nice guy, which shows during his interview with Adam & I. He still shows consistent MTT results across the major sites, although he hardly ever plays more than 3 tables at a time.

Our second guest is Gary Bogdanski (GB2005, PocketFives.com Online Tournament Player Ranking #42). A sports buff at heart, Gary recently graduated from Seton Hall University with a degree in Sports Management. He’ll provide insight into how he became a better overall player by watching others, and will give his opinion on who the best “GB” is (gbmantis, Gboro780, and GB2005 are all ranked tournament players) at PocketFives.com.
