Every Sunday The PocketFives Milestone Report looks at the online poker players who are achieving career-best achievement or reaching new heights in the rankings

Without much fanfare, Australia’s Rory Young continues to climb up the PocketFives Rankings, one or two spots at a time. This past week he hit another all-time high, making his way into the top 20 for the first time by being ranked #18 in the world.

His jump came after a Sunday that most online grinders would dream about. He won the PokerStars Hot $215 for $18,331 and 321.87 points. A few minutes later he came out on top of the partypoker Heavyweight: Eliminated for $9,962 and 223.81.

Nine players joined Young in the top 100 who hit their career-best rank this past week.

Two More Players Reach $3 million Earnings Club

Damian ‘pampa27’ Salas and Andrey ‘aangierr’ Pateychuk became the 310th and 311th players to hit $3,000,000 in lifetime earnings this past week.

Salas earned entry to the club thanks to a runner-up finish in the PokerStars $215 Fat Tuesday for just over $12,000. Only two other players in Colombia have more lifetime earnings, Mayu ‘marroca5’ Roca and Brandon ‘tedSTRETCH’ Merrill, and both are over $4 million.

Pateychuk, who put together a string of smaller cashes this past week to move up, is just the sixth Russian player to hit that mark. He joins ‘MAMOHT_T’, ‘decay’, ‘MatveichukR’, ‘Trekan61’ and ’NoPlanB’.

There were three players who hit the $2,000,000 in lifetime earnings; ‘Yurec1707’, ‘dartazzzz’, and ‘rayastar’.

And another three, ‘skilled g’, ‘mendozoq’, and ‘paulwiter’ all hit $1,000,000.

Evandro Vitoy Hits Biggest PLB Score Ever – By Far

Brazil has a population of 200 million people, and it seems like all of them play poker. Another player seems intent on making a splash in the Rankings. Evandro ’EVitoy’ Vitoy took down the PokerStars Sunday Million this past week for $172,125 and a massive 1,071.73 PLB points.

His previous biggest cash came in 2013 when he won $38,106 in the PokerStars Bigger $162. He’s now just $10,081 dollars away from hitting $500,000 in career earnings. He wasn’t the only one to hit an all-time best PLB score this past week. Six other players managed to have themselves a week to remember with a career best finish.
