Pocketfives has been about as kind to me as could be in giving me a dedicated blog page and everything is finally ready to go. I have a new 64 bit processor, and big old hard drive, a dedicated blog page, and even a new keyboard. I couldn’t be more ready to write than I am now. I’m very pleased about the way things are set up now; to be honest with you I wasn’t real happy when the blog page went away, but I understand that there just weren’t many people writing in them, and mine was less like a blog than a collection of articles anyway. That’s about to change.

My goals with the blog at the moment are to contribute front page articles as often as I have in the past while writing a little something at least three times a week. I would like to say I’ll write something every day, but I don’t want to make promises I can’t keep. I will occasionally be promoting my website PokerFox.net, but any link I put up to a pokerroom will be a link associated with P5’s and signing up through them will definitely help the admins pay the bills and allow them to keep improving an already great site.

My other short lived blog “Daily Poker Lessons” on wordpress has now been turned into a page that provides information about taking lessons from me and backing me in large tournaments.

As some of you know, I am also writing a book on no-limit Hold Em cash games. I’ll be posting occasional book excerpts which I would love feedback on. All the input will help me fine tune the book so that people understand the concepts as quickly as possible.

I have also settled on a new format that will make finding entries easier. Any entry that is highly educational and could be considered an article will be tagged jsut that in the blog page. Like “Article – Why 75s is the Best Hand Ever.” Anything else that is more like a blog entry and has to do with the daily going’s on in my life will be titled something like “Blog – Tough Week for the Fox”

So that’s The State of the Blog Address, hopefully my approval ratings will jump a few points if it goes over well..

I’ll see you at the final table,
Fox
