Congratulations to Rick TheClaimeerTrigg (pictured) on winning the 2014 Yearly PLB on PocketFives. Over the course of 2014, Trigg amassed 17,810.21 PLB Points, with a high score of 500. He has been a member of PocketFives since 2007 and has been a force to be reckoned with over the years.

His 500-point score came in October, when the UK player won a PartyPokerPokerfest Freezeout that had almost 1,300 entrants for $35,000. He was #23 worldwide in the PocketFives Rankings at the time and has since ascended to #14.

In September, Trigg took third in the PokerStarsSunday Supersonic for $36,000 and 233 PLB Points, and he opened 2014 by winning that site’s Wednesday Hundred Grand, boosting his bankroll by $29,000. In June, Trigg won the 888 Poker Sunday Challenge for $23,000, and his 2014 also included a win in the PokerStars Big $109.

All told, Trigg piled up 25 scores of at least $10,000 in 2014 and now has 181 career victories in online MTTs. He largely plays as some derivation of theclaimeer.

One of the first mentions of Trigg winning the PocketFives Yearly PLB came from fellow UK poker pro Sam TheSquid Grafton, who Tweeted on Monday:

Trigg said on Twitter at the end of December that he had been grinding his tail off in 2014:

He is the #3 ranked player in the UK and tops in Sheffield. He has 5,302 in the money finishes for his career in online MTTs and his largest cash ever, $102,000, came as a result of a final table in a SCOOP $2,100 No Limit Hold’em event in 2011.
