Some of the bigger occasional tournaments were held this weekend, including the PartyPoker $1M guaranteed and the PokerStars $700k guaranteed. It was a weekend of close misses though for several pocketfivers, as many came just short of the final table. A couple of them who made it far were brsavage, whoplaced 18th in the PartyPoker Friday Special, and spencerman, who came in 12th in the $350k guaranteed on the same site. parapokwinstook 18th in the $100k guaranteed on Paradise.

dave118, solidall,andljrtr (Top Gun 711)were less unfortunate, as they both pulled through to the final table of the $100k guaranteed tournament on Bodog, finishing 3rd and 9th respectively. For the first time, this tournament had over 600 entrants, so the overlay is getting a bit smaller. It's still huge though, well above $30k.

Cristofori, who not long ago won the PocketFives.com Heads Up Challenge, picked up a victory in the $120k guaranteed on UltimateBet. The $29.4k he pocketed there was enough to make the $8k win in the HU Challenge look meager, and we hope to see continued success from this rising star in the online poker world. Other pocketfivers to make the final table of this one were bfeck, pokerisnice,CaptnPoppy, and BC Smut33.
