Tournament Review for April 6, 2015
It was another big Sunday online this past weekend with many online tournament series taking place, including the Winamax’s W Series, partypoker’s Pokerfest, and PKR Poker’s Springfest.
United Kingdom’s Marcin marcin123Milde was the weekend’s biggest winner by claiming an outright victory in the PokerStarsSunday Million for $230,614. With this win, marcin123 now has over $2 million in online tournament cashes tracked by PocketFives. Denmark’s Allan sifosisBakke took third place in this tournament for $115,305, while Canada’s Samuel eqn778 Gagnon took fourth place for $77,485.
Dalton CheckmyShoesBrinker, who currently calls Mexico home, won the PokerStars Sunday $100 Rebuy for $50,644. This tournament attracted 944 entrants, with five PocketFivers finishing in the top five spots. Denmark’s cocojonesfinished in second place in this tournament for $36,464, Canada’s Simon pokerbrat13Charette finished in third place for $27,010, Austria’s huiiiiiiiiiitook fourth place for $20,257, and United Kingdom’s Michael chipsxxx Kossov won $14,180 for finishing in fifth place.
Austria’s CrownUpGuymay move back up the rankings after winning The Sunday Major on Full Tiltfor $41,987. CrownUpGuy currently finds himself in 9th place in the PocketFives Worldwide Rankingsand has previously held down the #1 spot on three separate occasions. Elio the real roks Fox also took home a nice payday in this tournament, finishing in third place for $19,644.
Also on Full Tilt, it was Ireland’s Stephen stevie444 Chidwick adding to his already impressive poker resume by winning the Sunday Brawl for $25,543. Chidwick has over $4 million in online tournament cashes tracked on PocketFives, with almost another $4 million in live tournament cashes tracked by the Hendon Mob.
Russia’s mincepiewas the big winner on PartyPoker,taking home $36,165 after finishing on top of a heads-up chop in Pokerfest #36. Fellow countryman Haa Alifwas the PocketFiver with the biggest score on 888 Poker after shipping the Sunday Challenge for $28,814.
