Finland online poker tournament specialist Europeanhad his second-best career cash in the PokerStars Sunday Million weekly flagship event over the weekend, winning it for a payday of $185,500 as a result of a heads-up chop. The victory puts the #24-ranked player worldwide on the fast track to earning a potential spot in the Top 10 for the first time ever.
There was a deal atop the Full Tilt PokerFTOPS $2,100 NLHE High Roller event that involved two PocketFivers. Brian brianm15 England of Costa Rica (pictured – ranked #132 globally) and Rhys floppinhel Jones of the United Kingdom cashed for $93,525 and $93,421 for their respective runner-up and first-place performances.
Meanwhile, jasven06of India took 2nd place in the Stars Sunday Warm-Up for $70,712 and lpackerof the United Kingdom took down the Stars Sunday 500 for $57,245 as a result of a two-way deal. Tom hitthehole Middleton earned a win in the FTOPS Event #30 for an even $53,000.
