Four more WCOOP titles were won on Friday.

Over the last several years, Brazilian poker players have found success in all of the PokerStars COOP events as they ascended to the top of the poker world. Bruno ‘great dant’ Volkmann became the latest Brazilian to grab a COOP title after taking down a World Championship of Online Poker event on Friday.

Volkman beat the 862-entry field in Event #15 High ($1,050 Four Max No Limit Hold’em) to win $144,302.80. Down to the final two players, Volkmann and ‘AmSoGood‘ agreed to a deal leaving $17,240 on the table. ‘AmSoGood’ earned $130,933.80 for his second place finish.

This is by far the largest score Volkman’s career. His previous best came in 2013 when he won the PokerStars Big $162 for $47,353. His win will also likely propel him back into the top 50 of the PocketFives Rankings. He currently sits #55.

The biggest winner on Friday was Finland’s ‘messigoat10‘ who took down Event #16 High ($530 Progressive KO) – otherwise known as the half-price Thursday Thrill. With $123,590.76 for finishing in first, and an additional $77,670.73 in bounties collected, ‘messigoat10’ walked away from the event with just over $200,000 and his first WCOOP title. The event attracted 3,410 entries for a total prize pool of $861,025 with that same amount also available in bounties. Runner-up ‘freddopizza‘ earned $87,390.59 for his finish and added $29,682.03 in bounties.

The only non-Hold’em tournament that wrapped up Friday was Event #17 High ($215 Eight Game). Russia’s ‘ImLuckNuts‘ topped the 729-entry field to win just over $25,000. Former #1-ranked Brian ‘brianm15’ England made the final table, finishing fifth for $7,290.

The first single-day event of the 2017 WCOOP schedule, Event #20 High ($530 Three Max Turbo PKO ZOOM) went to ‘Graftekkel‘. The Dutch player fired four bullets and ended up winning $53,659.31 for his win and another $39,200.07 in bounties.
