PokerStars' 2019 World Championship of Online Poker is just getting started.

The 2019 World Championship of Online Poker actually kicked off on Thursday, but the first events didn’t finish until Friday with Canada’s ‘a.urli’ taking down the biggest buy-in event for a six-figure payday and one of Brazil’s top-ranked players also earning a win.

Beating out the 107-player field in Event #2 High ($10,300 NLHE PKO HR), ‘a.urli’ pocketed $123,282.73 from the prize pool and an additional $126,718.75 worth of bounties. Runner-up Scott ‘Aggro Santos’ Margereson wound up earning a total of just over $178,000 while third-place finisher ended up with just over $114,000.

Germany’s ‘mickesch777’ defeated the 1,246 player field in Event #2 Medium ($1,050 No Limit Hold’em PKO Thursday Thrill) for a healthy $97,974 first-place prize plus an additional $68,065 in bounties for a total of over $166,000. Finland’s vakio¤ässä’ picked up $69,839 as the runner-up and finished with just $4,031 in bounties, the fewest at the final table. ‘Belarusrevenge’ may have fallen in third place, but they took home more money than second place thanks to his $49,783 prize and an additional $27,844 in bounties.

Diego ‘Mr.Bittar’ Bittar, the #8-ranked player in Brazil, added a WCOOP title to his previous Spring Championship of Online Poker win, by winning Event #6 Medium ($109 NLHE Six Max Shootout) for $20,736.72. Runner-up ‘zavor’ earned $15,552 for beating out all but one of the 1,296 entries in the event.

The #25-ranked player in the world, ‘eijseijs’ took down Event #6 High ($1,050 No Limit Hold’em Six Max Shootout) for a $47,520 payday and a WCOOP title. ‘mindgamer’ wrapped up the tournament as the runner-up walking away with just over $33,000 while Brazil’s Felipe ‘lipe piv’ Boianovsky took third place for $24,840 which should be enough to help him up over the $2 million mark in lifetime cashes.

Lebanon’s ‘kimokh’ also picked up a six-figure score by taking down the talent-rich final table of Event #3 High ($2,100 Pot Limit Hold’em Six Max) for $113,762. He outlasted ‘Biunnu92’ from Malta who finished as the runner-up for $84,324 as well as ‘Biunnu92’s fellow countryman ‘R4lti’ who took home the bronze for $62,504. The final table also featured former #1-ranked PocketFiver Yuri ‘theNERDguy’ Dzivielevski who finished in fourth for over $46,000 and renown nosebleed grinder Sami ‘Lrslzk’ Kelopuro who fell in fifth place for over $34,000.
