Nine more World Championship of Online Poker events came on their conclusion on Wednesday, September 12 as PocketFives #2-ranked ‘C.Darwin2‘ just missed out on his first title of the series.

In Event #38 (High): $1,050 NLHE [6-Max, Progressive KO], it was Slovakia’s ‘adkaf‘ who took the spoils and a first WCOOP title after a heads-up battle with ‘C.Darwin2‘. Ireland’s ‘wesko78‘ departed in third place for $33,912 + $13,398 (in bounties) before heads-up got underway. ‘C.Darwin2’ was looking to wrap up a first title of the 2018 series after previously making three final table appearances without a victory.

But former Sunday Million winner ‘adkaf’ was the player to prevail and eliminated ‘C.Darwin2’ in second place for $48,164 + $8,429. ‘adkaf’ walked away with the gold medal and a score worth over $155,000.

‘WhaTisL0v3‘ was the biggest winner on Wednesday after defeating Andriy ‘Andre_Hansen’ Lyubovetskiy heads-up to win Event #40 (High): $530 NLHE [Half Price Super Tuesday] for an eye-watering $185,562. The event saw 2,511 entrants create a $1,268,055 prize pool and on a final table that featured Renato Nomura and Jamil Wakil, ‘drupa-lucker‘ bagged their biggest online score to date after taking the bronze medal for $92,780. Their exit made way for the final two players to fight it out for an extra $55,000, and it was to be Lyubovetskiy, who won SCOOP Event #31-High ($530 No Limit Hold’em Sunday Million Special Edition) for $229,784 back in May of this year, who fell at the final hurdle but marked a stellar performance with a $131,211 sore, with ‘WhaTisL0v3’ taking the overall glory.

Brazil’s ‘KKremate‘ won Event #38 (Medium): $109 NLHE [6-Max, Progressive KO] for $29,059 + $17,915 (in bounties) after a heads-up deal ‘michalbubble‘. A massive 4,775 entrants field created a $238,750 prize pool and when the final table of six was set it featured Norway’s ‘Skrotnes,’ as well as ‘Graftekkel‘ and Jason ‘jdtjpoker’ Wheeler.

Once they departed before the podium places, Russia’s ‘LeBroHbKA‘ took the bronze medal for $16,500 + $4,234 (in bounties), and the final two agreed to a money deal. There was still a sizeable amount of money to play for in the form of the bounties, and it was ‘KKremate’ that secured the extra bankroll boosting dollars after ‘michalbubble’ fell in second place for $28,609 + $3,725 (in bounties).

‘Mordnilap‘ won $53,055 for taking the title in Event #39 (High): $2,100 FLHE. Oliver ‘sk2ll_m0dR’ Weis finished in third place for $31,207 and just missed on a place in the final battle. When the action resumed, it was ‘Mordnilap’ who went the distance after they eliminated ‘MrSweets28‘ in second place for $40,690.

‘hiran bass‘ added a WCOOP title to go alongside the SCOOP title he won last year after taking down Event #40 (Medium): $55 NLHE for $65,360. The Brazilian came through a 9,575 player field and the final showdown with ‘holves,’ who banked $45,536 in second place, to claim victory. Bass’ fellow Brazilian Guilherme ‘Solarius92’ Costa took third place for $31,728.
