Ten years ago ‘power2prut’ won $180,000 for winning the PokerStars Sunday Million. For most online poker players, a $180,000 score and the most prestigious Sunday Major title would both be career- best moments. Not so for this British grinder.

On Monday night he capped off two straight days of play in World Championship of Poker Event #50 ($2,100 NLHE) to win the Sunday Million Special Edition and $373,744.14. That score – a career best – came as the result of a heads-up deal with eventual runner-up ‘MASUR0N1KE’, who walked away with $292,500.00. This was the first WCOOP title for ‘power2prut’.

On most days, that score would easily be the biggest. But Monday also saw the conclusion of Event #51 High ($25,000 Six Max Pot Limit Omaha High Roller) with Pedro ‘Zagalo87’ Zagalo winning $419,038.62 for outlasting the 71-entry field. That big score was the result of a three-handed chop with runner-up ‘Venividi1993’ getting $325,649.51 and third place finisher ‘Ravenswood13’ earning $339,240.95.

Two other Special Edition “Sunday Majors” wrapped up on Monday.
Vadym ‘Spacey-Space’ Sienichkin beat out 2,671 other players to win Event #48 High ($215 Sunday Kickoff Special Edition) for $71,802.82 after chopping with Pascal ‘Päffchen’ Hartmann. The German pro ended up earning $62,240.96 for his second place finish. Finishing third was Russia’s ‘RUSTimur’ for $39,765.34.

Meanwhile, Event #49 High ($215 Sunday Warm-Up) went to ‘Thiago Wks.’. The Brazilian ended up with an outright victory for $87,487.13 and an additional $47,454.25 in bounties. Ronan ‘Sw33ney’ Sweeney earned $61,860.28 as runner-up and $11,078.78 in bounties. The #3-ranked player in Romania, Alexandru ‘alexxt7’ Farcasanu, pocketed $43,741.82 for finishing third while securing $2,256.25 in bounties.
