The 2016 World Championship of Online Poker has most definitely hit the home stretch with just four days left of new events. Wednesday’s action included three players winning WCOOP titles for the first time in their careers and a Championship final table that was loaded with star power.

Hungary’s Rui ‘sousinha23’ Sousa beat out 2,357 other players to win the $320 Win the Button event and $104,284.57.Ivan ‘Negriin’ Luca finished second for just under $75,000. Fabrizo ‘SixthSenSe19’ Gonzalez, who already has a 2016 WCOOP title to his credit, finished fourth for $38,755.40. That finish moves Gonzalez into top spot on the PokerStars WCOOP Leaderboard.

While Sousa walked away with six figures, his score paled in comparison to what fellow Hungarian Jorge ‘jorginho88’ Abreu won. Abreu topped the 904-player field to win Event #60, the $2,100 Super Tuesday Special Edition and walk away with $304,880.49. High stakes cash game regular ‘ caaaaamel‘ finished runner-up for $223,476.03.

Joao Mathias ‘joaoMathias’ Baumgarten, who moved to #1 in the PocketFives Rankings on Wednesday, topped off his big day by finishing third for $163,807.15.

Cyrpus’ Dimitri ‘MITS 304’ Michaelides managed to break the streak of Hungarian winners on Wednesday by coming out on top of the $1,050 Razz Championship. The final table included Frederik ‘Fred_Brink’ Jensen, Dzmitry ‘Colisea’ Urbanovich, Natasha ‘natashab86’ Barbour and former World Series of Poker Player of the Year, Mike ‘gordo16’ Gorordinsky.
