The partypoker MILLIONS Grand Final in Barcelona gets underway on April 7 and is highlighted by a mammoth €10,000,000 Main Event. The tournament is billed as the largest guaranteed tournament in Europe’s history and no fewer than three players will walk away from the contest having won at least €1,000,000.

In order to pull off such an ambitious feat, partypoker is going to need plenty of players to qualify for the event through both the live satellites happening in Barcelona as well as through their ample opportunities online.

The Main Event

For the final event of Season One of partypoker LIVE, the company has pushed the envelope once again – essentially doubling their efforts from many of the Main Events they’ve held thus far. As opposed to a €5 million guarantee at a €5,000 buy-in, as they held recently in Rozvadov, the stakes are raised with a €10,300 buy-in and €10,000,000 as a guarantee.

There are four starting flights, beginning on April 11, that allow for a single re-entry per flight. Players with a healthy bankroll can play multiple flights and the largest chip stack for that player will move forward into Day 2.

Even though this is clearly a major tournament, the action will be swift with Day 1 levels of 40 minutes and a starting stack of 100bb and an ante right off the bat. Day 2 sees levels increase to 60 minutes and should you get to the end, heads-up play escalates with 30-minute levels.

Step Up To €10,000,000

Players have a path to the €10,300 buy-in starting for as little as $0.50 when qualifying online.

Certainly, players can buy their way into any of the four levels of satellites in hopes to either win their way to the next step or win a seat outright. Players in the daily $22 tournament need to both survive to the end as well as have the opportunity build a stack to carry with them into one of the daily $109 tournament. Once in the $109 tournament, the same principle applies – players build a stack to take with them to the final $1,050 tournament that will take them to the MILLIONS Grand Final Barcelona.

Again, players can buy into any stage at any time, but those who climb the steps may have an added advantage of being able to build a massive stack to take with them into the Sunday Final.

The $1,050 tournament runs on Sundays at 8pm GMT/ 4pm ET and guarantees at least 10 packages to the Main Event.

Each package is worth $16,000 and gives the winner a €10,300 ticket to the Main Event, 8-night accommodation at the Hotel Arts for the duration of the Grand Final (April 8-16) and an additional $500 for expenses.
