The WPT Moves to Fox Sports Network

Published on Jul 24th, 2008

This week's Podcast features interviews with World Poker Tour host and poker legend Mike Sexton and WPT Live Updates Hostess Amanda "blondechick20" Leatherman.

It was recently announced that the World Poker Tour will move to the Fox Sports Network next season; broadcasting 60-minute episodes in a prime time Sunday slot. In this week's interview, Mike Sexton talks about the WPT's move to the Fox Sports Network along with some of the more memorable hands at WPT final tables over the years. Mike also talks about the late, great Stu Ungar, and how he believes Stu would have fared in today's poker environment if he were still alive.

Our second guest is WPT Live Updates Hostess Amanda Leatherman, who goes by "blondechick20" here on the site. Amanda has made a name for herself in the poker world thanks to her casual interview style and her ability to bring out the best in the people she interviews. Amanda talks about her responsibilities with the WPT for its upcoming season, this year's WPT Champion Michael "SirWatts" Watson, and even turns down a marriage proposal on the show.
