David Peters defeated Michael Addamo in the finals to win the WSOP Online $10,000 Heads Up Championship for his second career bracelet (WPT photo).

David Peters defeated Alyssa MacDonald in the semi-final and then Michael Addamo in the final on Saturday on take down the World Series of Poker Online $10,000 Heads Up No Limit Championship for $260,480 and his second career bracelet. The final four played down to a winner on Saturday after the original field of 128 started last Saturday to play down to the final four players.

Semi-Final: Michael Addamo vs. Michael Zhang

Addamo and Michael Zhang, with a combined $11.8 million in live tournament earnings played for just 30 minutes. The pair each took multiple turns as the chip leader. On the final hand between the two, Addamo raised the button to 40,0000 with 6s3s and Zhang responded by raising to 160,000. Addamo called and the two saw a flop of Kc3d3h. Zhang bet 80,000 and Addamo called. The turn was the Th and Zhang fired 288,000 into the pot and Addamo called again. The river was the 2s and Zhang moved all in for 887,334 and Addamo called to eliminate his opponent and advance to the final.

Semi-Final: David Peters vs. Alyssa MacDonald

While the Addamo versus Zhang match ended relatively quickly, Peters and MacDonald had a much more deliberate pace to their match. Peters took the chip lead very early before surrendering it to MacDonald for the next 30 minutes.

It took 90 minutes of action and an action-filled hand ended the semi-final. Peters opened to 76,800 with JsTs before MacDonald re-raised to 268,800 with QcQs. The flop came QdTc8s and MacDonald bet 177,408 and Peters called. The turn was the 5s adn MacDonald bet 390,498 and Peters called. The river was the 9c and MacDonald checked to Peters who moved all in. MacDonald spent 1:11 in the tank before calling off her last 661,422 before being given the bad news allowing Peters to advance to the finals.

Final:Michael Addamo vs. David Peters

Addamo was the first to enjoy a long run with the chip lead before losing a 1,514,400 pot with a full house of 8c8d8h6s6h being second best to Peters’ 8c8d8h9h9d. Peters wasn’t able to hold onto that lead for long and Addamo had as much as 75% of the chips in play at one point.

Peters earned a full double up in dramatic fashion. Peters called from the button with 8d5s and Addamo checked with As4h. The flop came 7s6s4s and Addamo check-called Peters’ 51,200 bet. Addamo checked again and Peters bet 163,840 Addamo called. The Jh river got Addamo to check once more. Peters bet 768,000 and Addamo tanked before moving all in and Peters called. That pot gave Peters the chip lead, but only temporarily. The pair exchanged the lead back and forth

After an hour and 10 minutes, of battle Addamo was down to just seven big blinds and moved all in from the button for 1,054,200 with Jc3c only to have Peters call with AhKs. The board ran out As9s5dAdKd to give Peters an unneeded full house to eliminate Addamo and claim another bracelet to pair with the one he captured in 2016.
