2014 – Villegas -17, -1, 11
2013 – Reed over Spieth, -14, E, 10
2012 – Sergio! -18, E, 10
2011 – Webb Simpson -18, -2, 9
2010 – Arjun Atwal -20, -2, 9
2009 – Moore over Stadler and Bohn, -16, -1, 9
2008 – Pettersson -21, -2, 11

Averages – -17.7, -1.1, 9.9

Greens are 6500 ft2 on average with a stimpmeter of 12’.
The rough is forgiving at 2”.
There are 48 traps, 12 creeks, and one pond.

All the greens were replaced in May 2012 with Bermudagrass. The position and routing remained the same. Some thought the slicker Bermudagrass would toughen up the course but they were wrong.

It’s a Driving Accuracy week once again after favoring the bombers for a while. Accuracy is more important than distance but neither is as important as GIR and SG:T2G this week. I see importance in sand saves, prox, and scrambling. Only 2 par 5s has me all over par 4 scoring.

Weather
Chance of thunderstorms all week. Wind seems mild both days. Nothing stands out right now.

Gophers

Adam Scott 10.9k – I like him but don’t love him. Think he’s gonna be really unpopular and I like him for GPPs. Cut here in only try in 2009.

Hideki 10.9k – I like him more than Scott but I think he will be much higher owned.

Koepka 10.8k – Finally this kid is priced where he should be. I’m still all over him and am hoping his high price tag will keep others off him.

Snedeker 10.3k – Looks like a great play. Excellent form. Top 10 machine. Likely will be popular.

Kaymer 9.8k – I’m off him but hope others are on him after his 12th last week. He’s in fine form and finished 20th here so should attract players to him but I don’t like his 98th in driving accuracy, 128th in GIR, and 102nd in SG:T2G.

Grace 9.7k – Also should be popular. Great form has never played here. I’m off him due to 119th in DA, 143rd in GIR, and 94th in SG T2G.

Haas 9.6k – Excellent course history, 2, 20, 7, cut, 28, 10, cut here. 65, 25, and 4 after 3 straight MC. Local boy.

Simpson 9.5k – Fine play. Will be popular. Course horse, 5, 11, 22, 1, 8, cut. Shaky form though but this course is better for him than those courses.

Horschel 9.5k – Nice contrarian play. Stats look great; 48th in DA, 12 GIR, 68 SG:T2G, 33rd in SG:P. 47, 46, and 30 here, fine form nothing exciting. Could pull off a surprise win here.

Thomas 9.4k – I like him. I thought he would be popular last week, I was wrong. He did well. Does that mean he will go underowned too this week or will people be on him now?

Moore 9.3k – 37, cut, 1, cut here. Rough form. Good stats tho.

Casey 9.2k – Looks like a great play. Not sure what to think of his ownership. 18, cut, 75, 47, and 26 here. Fine form. Good stats.

Donald 9.1k – No

Rodgers 9k – No

Schwartzel 8.9k – No

English 8.6k – I like him. He’s a bomber but he gets it on the green and in the hole pretty good. 10th here in his only try. Hasn’t missed a cut in a while.

Todd 8.5k – Another guy I like. Your prototypical bunter, he hits lots of fairways, gets it on the green in reg, and then is the 8th best putter on tour.

Pettersson 8.4k – Local boy. Past champion. Has won more money here than anybody. Has also been cut twice here. Good form excepting a 75th last week but that wasn’t the course for him. This one is.

Will Wilcox 8.4k – Great play, going to be popular. Talked to me on Twitter once.

CHiII 8.3k – Localish. I don’t like him as much as his neighbors.

Ollie Schniederjans 8.3k – The new shiny toy will be popular and rightfully so. I can’t give you a reason why the kid isn’t legit, but he is still just a kid playing in his sixth golf tournament as a pro.

Woods 8.2k – I can’t wait until he’s 6k so I can fade him then too.

Knox 8.1k – I like him but not as much as others do.

Chad Campbell 8k – Not bad, probably will go overlooked.

Coetzee 8k – Made some noise this week. Hope that gets others to play him this weekend.

Cook 8k – My favorite play. This kid is legit. 13th in SG:T2G and 6th in SG:P, albeit a small sample size. Great form.
