Three players picked up plenty of bounties on Wednesday on their way to capturing an XL Eclipse title.

Wednesday’s them for the 888poker XL Eclipse schedule was the PKO. The best bounty hunters in the online poker world were out in full force as all three events on the mid-week slate featured the PKO format.

Overlays a very rare occurrence with XL Eclipse and Wednesday was no exception. All of Wednesday’s events surpassed their posted guarantee with ease, including the biggest event of the day, the $109 buy-in $50,000 PKO which drew 471 entrants, 141 of which rebought in pursuit of an XL title.

A dominating performance by Lithuanian ‘Mr.Donk69’ actually allowed him to collect more from bounties than he did from the actual prize pool despite finishing in top spot in Event #20 ($109 NLHE PKO). ‘Mr.Donk69’ earned $5,814 from the prize pool but picked up $6,020.84 in bounties.

Runner-up ‘Mr_coyote’ earned $4,284 from the prize pool but just $624.38 from bounties. ‘improv33r’ finished third but earned slightly more than the runner-up thanks largely to his impressive bounty haul. ‘improv33’ earned $3,136.50 from the prize pool but $1,982.23 in bounties for the players he sent to the rail.

Seventh place finisher ‘Orlak6’ pulled off a rare and somewhat odd feat on Wednesday. The Romanian player picked up $994.50 for his final table finish but collected exactly zero bounties along the way.

Britain’s ‘Dfrancis1995’ outlasted the 1,150 entries – and the 393 rebuys those players generated – in Event #21 ($33 NLHE PKO) to win $2,023 from the prize pool and an additional $1,637.26 worth of bounties.

Brazil’s ‘RFagundes’ picked up $1,469.70 and $479.54 in bounties as the runner-up while his fellow countryman ‘gebereneu66’ finished third for $1,099.38 and $114.24 worth of bounties.

‘Orlak6’ narrowly missed out on a second final table, finishing in 11th. This time around however he did manage to collect some bounty cash. He earned $109.43 from the prize pool and $49.45 in bounties.

The final XL Eclipse event on the day, Event #21 ($33 NLHE PKO), attracted 450 runners, 124 of which fired a rebuy, to create a prize pool 72% bigger than the guarantee.

Finland’s ‘vladimir8551’ beat all of them for $1,636.07 plus $1,411.22 in bounties. Russia’s ‘Shansovnet’ finished as runner-up for $1,205.40 and $242.36 in bounties. Another Finn, ‘Pokaloco’ rounded out the podium with a third place finish worth $882.52 and an additional $403.74 in bounties.
