888poker's XL Inferno rolled on with three R&A tournaments on Monday.

888poker‘s XL Inferno series continued on Monday with a trio of Rebuy & Add-On events.

Day 5 of the spring series rolled out three more contests from the 34-event schedule. Giving their players a small break, just a day after a super Sunday schedule and the day before ‘High Roller’ day, the three Rebuy & Add-On tournaments offered $45K in guarantees with the showcase tournament only costing $33 to enter.

Even though Monday is one of the slower days for online tournaments, the trio of contests continued the streak of XL tournaments besting their guarantees…if only by a hair.

Event #14 – $20,000 R&A Event

Buy-in: $33
Entries: 420 (205 rebuys, 212 add-ons)
Prize pool: $25,110

The spotlight tournament of the day, the $20,000 R&A, proved to be popular with players pushing the prize pool to more than $5,000 over the advertised guarantee.

It took under seven hours for Brazil’s ‘LittleFlying’ to take home the biggest payday of the day’s XL schedule by besting the 420 entries and taking down the tournament for $4,818.68.

‘LittleFlying’ outlasted Norway’s ‘Assad91’ heads up, the Norwegian settled for $3,578.17 for second place. Right behind them was Finland’s ‘tayskasi69’ who finished in third place adding $2,636.55 to his bankroll.

Buy-in: $5.50
Entries: 1,123 (637 rebuys, 491 add-ons)
Prize pool: $11,255

The Mini R&A presented a good opportunity for micro and low-stakes grinders to turn their $5.50 buy-in into a payday that can drastically improve a bankroll. The top three players took advantage of that spot and all walked away with four-figure scores.

In the end, it was an all-Austria top-two. ‘Green0gre’ took the top spot, taking home the XL Inferno title and turning his $5.50 into $1,968.20 for first place. His fellow countryman ‘Axxegirl’ fell in second place, winning $1,429.38.

Prize pool: $15,030

The Late R&A tournament nearly broke the ‘guarantee-smashing’ streak that XL Inferno has going. However, before the end of registration, during the add-on period, the field produced just enough to exceed the $15,000 guarantee…by $30.

That said, the tournament hummed along, finishing in six hours and forty-three minutes, and awarded four players a four-figure return on their original $16.50 buy-in.

‘klessebes’ added an XL title to his poker resume and took down the first-place prize of $2,855.80. The UK’s ‘geringonsa’ was the runner-up, earning $2,104.20. Malta’s ‘1Bank1’ finished in third place for $1,540.57.
