Day 2 of 888poker’s XL Inferno online poker series brought out the bounty hunters as the schedule offered three Progressive Knockout tournaments with a total of $70,000 in guarantees up for grabs.

Just like the tournaments offered on Day 1, each of Friday’s title fights surpassed their guarantees offering players four-figure scores for their mid-stakes buy-in.

Event #4 – $30,000 PKO

It took over nine hours for the biggest buy-in tournament of the day’s slate to reach a conclusion. In the end, it was ‘Tuna_lover’ from the UK who took down the XL Inferno title and over $5,500 ($3,236.80 + $2,283.10 in bounties) for his first place finish.

Russia’s ‘Shansovnet’ fired two bullets but in it ended up being worth it as he finished the tournament as the runner-up, adding $2,371.81 + $1,470.66 in bounties to his bankroll. His fellow countryman ‘dieselamq’ took third place for $1,746.75 + $890.63 in bounties. The PocketFiver will add that to his $266,000 in lifetime earnings as he will likely take a small step up in the worldwide rankings, edging closer to his all-time high ranking of #998, which he achieved earlier this year.

The $22 price point of the $20,000 Mini PKO proved to be the most popular of the day, as over 400 more runners piled into the tournament lobby to take a shot in the day’s most affordable tourament.

PocketFiver ‘DIFSTHLM1891’ finished in first place, earning $2,227.09 + $1,549.93 in bounties and adding that to his over $432K lifetime total. The Swede defeated the UK’s ‘wNNunchained’ who ended up falling in second place for $1,608.10 + $704.41 in bounties. For ‘wNNunchained’, this was one of two XL Inferno final tables the UK grinder made on the day.

‘Hala1988’ took home the bronze for over $1,199.89 + $356.49 in bounties.

It only took six-and-a-half hours for Brazil’s ‘UchihaZizou’ to wrap up the Late PKO. He outlasted the 398 players and took home over $3,000 ($1,476.67 + $1,615.63 in bounties) for first place.

A pair of players from Belarus were right behind the Brazilian as ‘digamon’ finished in second place for $1,096.53 + $133.13 in bounties and 2018 XL Inferno champion ‘GoFighTer’ took third for $807.97 + $287.80 in bounties.
