With the brand new tournament lineup now in full flow, a plethora of PocketFivers have continued to produce excellent results on the virtual felts of 888poker. The Top three earners for March 2021 have recorded combined earnings of over $65,000, which includes eight tournament wins and over 180 tournament cashes.

And of course, it was Portugal’s Bruno ‘KeyzerSozePT’ Ferreira that took the top spot yet again. Ferreira has found massive success on 888poker in 2021; topping the most earnings, most cashes, and most wins tables for both January and February. Now, the poker player has completed the ‘Top Earner’ three-peat with $22,790 won for the month of March.

Ferreira stepped into the spring-time strongly, notching two second place finishes and 18th place finish on the first opening of the month for just shy of $2,000. Over the next 30 days, the impressive form continued with the player taking top spot in three tournaments as well as having a further 87 tournament cashes for March.

The Portuguese grinder posted five results which were good four-figure paydays, finding success in the new PKO and ‘Big Shot’ tournaments on 888poker. Despite these fine results, the March top earner title was not a lock for the player. In a last gasp rally on the final day of the month, Ferreira recorded two of his three wins and a 7th place finish to seal the deal. With $2,525 won at the death, Ferreira got ahead of the pack to take the title by a mere $770 and secured his seat at the head of the table.

The player that came closest to ending Ferreira’s dominant display was Michael ‘Skeldon87’ Skeldon. Playing under the alias ‘HyperX’, the Englishman has also been in fine form since the turn of the year. For both January and February, Skeldon finished fourth in the top earners table, but was able to secure a podium finish this time of asking.

Skeldon posted three of his all-time top ten cashes on 888poker in March 2021, finding success in the ‘Big Shot’ tournaments like his already mentioned counterpart. Two wins in the $55 ‘Big Shot’ and a runner-up in the $109 saw the player win $9,665, making up a significant portion of his monthly taking of $22,021.

Like Ferreira, Skeldon also recorded three tournament victories but what is most impressive is that his monthly earnings were made up of 56 cashes, 34 less than that of the reigning champ.

The third top earner for the month was ‘r21evolutiON’, a new face on the 888poker streets. The Andorran poker player has just broken the $1 million mark in lifetime total earnings thanks to his $21,633 March haul. The first result posted came on March 7th with a 3rd place finish in the $22 ‘Big Shot’ for $1,843.

On his debut month on the platform, ‘r21evolutiON’ then went on to record a further six four-figure scores to announce his arrival. With their most notable score coming from the $109 ‘Big Shot’ which netted him a cool $4,650. Do we finally have a kingslayer that can dethrone the almighty Ferreira?

888poker Top 10 Earners March 2021

There were some more familiar faces in the upper echelons of the most cashes table, and to some surprise it wasn’t topped by Ferreira. Stephen ‘sizzlinbetta’ Reynolds, who was close to cracking the top three in February with 59 cashes, went all the way to the top in March with 111 cashes. This, with three tournament wins saw a monthly score of $3,693 for Reynolds and was the first instance of a PocketFiver being in the money on more than 100 occasions in a single month for 2021.

There was another PocketFiver that broke the 100 cashes mark for March. 102 paid finishes and three tournament wins, saw Nilton ‘mipalo23’ Vargas as this month’s runner up. Vargas, also another new face playing on 888poker, won over $9,000 on his first full month on the site.

There now seems to be three certainties in life; death, taxes and ‘Heaten’ rounding off the podium finishes for the most cashes. The Dutch player recorded 98 cashes and one tournament triumph.

‘rahitos911’ topped this months most wins table with a grand total of six, the lowest number needed to take the title so far this year. There were then three other players with five wins with the rest of the top ten with four.
