When the $300,000 Super High Roller Bowl saw 54 players put down a deposit of $30,000 for an event that had a cap of 50, you knew some would get shut out. The first 35 players to officially enter the field qualified via a lottery, leaving several big names out with just 15 players able to enter. Most of those players were expected to be non-professionals, meaning several big names could be locked out. That will be alleviated slightly with the announcement that the Aria will bring the field up to 56 players, with the 21 players invited to put up the money expected to be announced in March.
