Apologies if there are already similar threads for this but i'm going to be on holiday in Vegas in August and just wanted to get some opinions on the best place to play MTT's (between $50 and $100) and cash (1-2NL). I've checked out some tourneys and they range from 30BB starting stack to 100BB. Thanks in advance.

I am going to be staying @ Caesars Palace I was wondering what good daily tournies are there to play for Sundays and Mondays...They have the WSOP circuit going on @ Caesars but both days are non-ring events..The Sunday Event is $350 and the Monday event is $560...That is a little above my range that I wanted to spend on a tourney..I might play their daily events that will be running which is $130 at 7pm and $70 at 10 pm..I am not too familiar with poker tournaments in Vegas at all any recommendations will be helpful...

I've updated the information in the OP. Here are the changes:

A. Caesars WSOP Circuit Events from April 14-30th

B. Sahara tournaments have all been moved to the Stratosphere

C. Gold Coast no longer has a poker room

D. Paris & Bally's are consolidated (see Bally's information)

E. Various schedule and buy-in updates -- consult OP for details

going to vegas with some friends for a few days on Sunday ...I've been before, but haven't played a lot of cash games there

sooo besidies the Rio, what are other good places on the strip that have good poker rooms? Venetian? Caesars? ... for anything from 1/2 ...2/5... 5/10? ...just curious to know what hotels/casinos have decent games to play for a casual night of poker... and if anyone has any recent experiences or input it would be appreciated!

Thanks

I like MGM cuz they dont do any of the bs jackpot stuff, and the poker room is highly visible when entering which increases the fish traffic...

Venetian and Aria are both great rooms as well. I liked the aria cuz it seemed to have alot of people there on busiess with money, and they would drop 500+ in couple hours in the 1/3 game, i can only imagina how juicy the bigger games are with these guys.... Both aria and venetian have great tourney structures also...

If you head dtown the gold nugget and binions were full of old locals who are a bunch of rocks, so if you have a solid lag game, and can gt away from hands when they play back at you its pretty easy money... ur not gonna win huge pots, but you will a ton of small pots and grind it up..

the Venetian, the Wynn, Aria, and Belllagio are considered the best, however I think the best places to make money are the rooms that don't attract the better players, i.e. Imperial Palace, Planet Hollywood, Ballys for 1-2nl. also, if you have any kind of game in omaha, you can do o.k. in the Venetian's 4-8 or 8-16 limit omaha games.

Not Rio. Poker room actually sucks unless series is going on.

Venetian, Aria, Bellagio, mirage , MGM

First three are nicest/most popular but sometimes tons of grinders. Last two are smaller but have more fish i guess. I dunno, i win and lose at them all LOL

Wanted to know if anyone that is out in vegas or if anyone knows whether there is deep stack tournaments in vegas like series events May 22-27th? I looked at all of there daily scheduled tournaments and i know about the daily tourneys but nothing about any other events. And I know that Venetian has Deep Stack Extravaganza starting the 27th of may..

Gonna be staying at the Aria.

In all of my trips to Vegas I've never actually played poker at the Wynn. I usually stick to Venetian on that end (Bellagio as well) or MGM if I'm on the other end. I'm staying at Encore this trip, so curious about games at the Wynn. How are they? Or should I just stick to walking over to the Venetian or Bellagio? From friends here I've heard both ends of the spectrum: mostly solid TAGs/regs and also a couple solid players with mostly rich dudes staying there that have no clue. FWIW I play a mixture of 1/2-3 and 2/5 NLHE. I like $1k max 2/5, and since Wynn is $1500 just makes me wonder a bit more about how the game plays (and the $500 max 1/3).

I'm sure this is a repeat thread...

I will be in Vegas for a three day weekend while my dad plays baseball in a tournament out there. So i'll be solo with a much needed poker fix to fulfill since Online is gone. So I will bringing 1300 for the three days. Obv I'm looking for 1-2/1-3 game. Which Casino would provide good action for me? I usually only play in Atlantic City.

I never really understand threads where people ask about where to play 1/2. Pretty much any casino with a poker room has 1/2 no? Are there really such things as tough 1/2 games live? Just go to whichever casino is most convenient to where you're staying or whichever casino you'd like to spend some time in.
