MicroMillions Feedback Request Thread

Recommended Posts

im not disputing the benefits of having bigger stacks etc etc

but its just a never ending circle, so you implement this structure for the daily bigs, people are like yawn to these changes and begin to request deeper structures for the sunday majors as they are the flagship events and deserve it....... 12 months later........ why dont we have these great structures for every tournament

see what i mean

I dont see what u mean, I think the SM structure needs a change, comon its just terrible hdjhdjjskajdsa. And even if that circle its true i dont see whats wrong about it... I know there will allways be the "time pressure" but things can alllways be optimized in a way or an other imo. Other argument I once heard was: "yeah but the fish wont win anymore with a better structure, thats bad for poker..." I mean ???? that just seams absurd... its not like the variance will totaly vanisch lol...

That being said I think the micro structure will never have to be as deep as the midstakes/highstakes just because people are donating way more so you just find way more spots to chip up anyway...

Oh and redicrap plus 1 to your last argument! The SM structure does in fact start with 10k stacks to GIVE THE IMPRESSION OF MORE CHIPS!!!! where in fact its worse than the bigs. hypocrits... Im not sure what strcuture is better tho the bigs or the stars fr 100 euro structure, but seams like you analysed that better than me...

sorry if this is a bit offtopic (feel free to move this in anotehr T redicrap-mode:) ), well done stars anyway, you care! And gl to all the micro 55ers!

I think that RedIceRap is pointing out that a standard re buy is already unlimited and so what's the need to label this one as such.
the point im making is that in this you could just pay $10 straight up and have 100x starting stack. apologies if im wrong. (the other tourns are just listed as rebuys on the sched)

I think you are right, I've seen a tourny on stars like that b4. Guys just kept rebuying and had instant massive stacks.

Thanks for the feedback, everyone... keep it coming!

but how about that SCOOP schedule, eh?

The SCOOP schedule is quite a long way from being ready for release.

A: Yes. MicroMillions champions will receive a unique hat celebrating their win.

pics of hat bryan s?

I don't have a picture right now, but I'm hoping that we'll have one on the MicroMillions site as soon as possible.

Just one gripe Bryan i know u want it mostly nlh but surely u could put a few more omaha touneys in there especially plo8 as there are none of these only one nlo8 and that one starts at 6 am et. cheers

Personally would love at least one PLO8 tourney and possibly a HORSE one thrown in there somewhere but other than that it looks like not much sleep to me!

Would like to see PLO8 and HORSE also.

Fixed in the updated schedule... pure oversight on our part, and a big part of the reason that we put things out for feedback before setting them in stone. Thanks for the feedback!

what's the meaning of 'unlimited rebuys' and 'superknockout'?

Unlimited Rebuys: there's no cap on how many rebuys you can make, regardless of your stack. (Well, there is a cap of 100,000,000 chips, but no one's going to get to that... we just have to define a maximum. Before anyone replies with "Challenge accepted.", bear in mind that you'd have to spend thousands in a $0.10 tourney to get to that kind of stack. ;))

SuperKnockout: the KO amount is much larger than usual, in this case equal to the buy-in, so $5+$5+$0.50

Same starting stacks and blind structure as in the regular schedule?

And with the Main Event?

The stacks will be similar to SCOOP. The blind levels will be 10 minutes long for most tournaments, with SCOOP-style structures (deep).

Unlimited rebuys mean you can just buy however much you want. some ballers are gonna have fun. Superknockout id imagine is $5+5+0.5 fo the $10.50. just bigger bounties.

Correct on both.

Thanks for the feedback, everyone... keep it coming!

stars is kicking ass again! If my account isn't reinstated here in Thailand at least before the main event I'm going to be sooo let down

glgl to Stars' security and their translation of my Thai documents ;)

Oh and I vote that you should have the main event start 1-3 hours earlier if you really want maximum participation throughout the world, as you said that was the point of having all of those tourneys early morning and late at night

but there still will be a rebuy period right? would be funny if lederer would sit there with 100M chips for 10M bucks in this tourney LOL cant stop laughing

oh and will there be an option to take several rebuys at once? since it's gonna be tough to click the cashier and rebuy manually a 100 times at the beginning of the tourney.

Yeah, pokerstars had a tourney like this at the end of last year where it was unlimited rebuys regardless of stacks for 1 hour. You basically only get one double rebuy per hand, so its limited in that regard as well, unless they plan to do this one different than other unlimited rebuys in the past.

stars.fr has that structure in all their red daily tourneys. it's not really deepstacked. u start with 200bb instead of 150bb, which isn't a HUGE difference. skill is def favored more, what u want in a tourney with a lot of players.

The structure on .com > the structure on .fr.

The startstack only works as a gimmick.

are u sure? check out this thread pls and tell me what u think.

i compared the structures a bit. seems like .fr structure > .com structure. maybe i made a mistake or there is a mistake in my logic there or whatever, but i dont think so atm.

The series is set to run from March 15th - 25th and they already have the 'micro millions' tab up in the pokerstars client under the 'events' tab so, i'm guessing it will be officially announced in the next couple of days at the start of the month and the tourneys/satelites will be added to the schedule around the sametime.

The SCOOP schedule is quite a long way from being ready for release.

I know you guys work really hard over there, and you do a great job...but honestly, this is pretty absurd. there's a lot of people pretty much waiting to plan their month of may/spring around the dates of scoop and you guys can't even release the dates yet? it's march already, scoop is supposed to be 2 months away!!

are you going to run a micro competition that will include all micro tourns whilst micromillions is running? or a competition for just the MM tourns themselves?

I think its going to be JUST the MM tourneys. pokerstars will be having a leaderboard and thats what I will use to score my contest

discussion thread for the contest: http://www.pocketfives.com/f10017/micromillions-contest-discussion-thread-659921/#post6778908

Hey pokerstars.

Why dont YOU run a contest yourself? Rigth now on bwin there is a series going on, the BSOP i think its called. Within the poker client, they have a 1K sidebet that you can place by registering within the software and compete against everyone else who wants to register. Winner is however does best over the entire series, there is no rake on this sidebet either... just seems like a genius idea and im surprised you guys havent done it also.
