Poker Room Advice

Recommended Posts

I'm hoping to tap into the collective wisdom of the forum to find the ideal location to open up a card room of my own, somewhere within the US.

Do any forum members have any suggestions regarding the best city or state to open up such a room?

I'm aware of the State Laws in Ohio and Wisconsin, but I don't want to limit my options and figured this would be the fastest way to search across the entire country for potential locations.

Thanks for all of your input.

A place with a lot of college students to continually repopulate the player pool and bring in fresh blood. I'm in Atlanta and although I don't know the legality of such a club I would be willing to risk it either way. Basically I'm thinking of opening an underground club here on my own.

By the way, I've been through Madison a few times recently for some business. I hear there's a tiny casino with a poker room that has electronic tables. Any experience there or are there private games that you know of that you can put me up on? I'm likely going to be in Madison again in a couple weeks and want to get some games in. Hit me with a pm if you have some info.

Georgia is extremely strict on poker. I only know of one place where they have a set up that gets around the legalities. Apart from that, I know of a number of places that were raided and shut down.
