I'd like to drive down for a couple events, but I most likely will be out to sea at that time.. 9 hour drive each way is pretty rough too. Still gonna be one of the better stops on the circuit, so if I get the chance I'll be down there for a couple $365s. Going to Philly stop for sure. GL to everyone playin at the stop!

I'll be there all or most of the time. I was there almost the whole time last year and it was great. They weren't prepared for the turnout but handled it well anyway.

This year will likely be even bigger but they will be more prepared, hopefully.

Fields were large and soft, especially the weekend games and even with the unexpected crowd the staff was great.

The Saturday re-entry ring event paid over 70K to 1st and the main paid around 1/4 mil to 1st. I imagine both will be even bigger this year.

The 1/2 games are digital but most of the 2/5 were live. They had some live tables running in the poker room and in the main tournament room every time I was in there, which was daily.

The problem was they just didn't expect that kind of crowd so they had rented out the conference rooms, so the only places they had for poker was the poker room and the big auditorium area. I'm sure this year they will hold out some of the conference rooms for the overflow.

The also hair drug tested the dealers before the series started and of course lost quite a few so they had to bring in their own dealers. This also caused problems because they hadn't had live tables long and they had very inexperienced dealers. All the dealers were working double shifts and there was a lot of dealer errors. Hopefully they learned from this and won't repeat it again this year.

As well as they handled things last year, even with all the issues, I imagine they will be more than prepared this year and things should run extremely well.

Here's a good link for breweries around Asheville: http://www.beeradvocate.com/place/city/77/

This is also the link to last year's results: http://www.wsop.com/tourney/tourneydetails.asp?groupID=950

The first Thursday event and the Friday event both paid over $50K to 1st and the Sat re-entry paid $70K up top. Most of the weekly events topped out at $29K except the $580 on Thursday which was around $47K.

It won't surprise me if all there isn't a good overall increase this year.

Im going up there to play the cash games. A bunch of people from the home games in my area are going around to lose their money in the tourneys and getting rooms so we'll probably all just split the costs.

Anybody Familiar with Cherokee know where the best JacksObetter payouts are at? Been searching around with no luck.

Thanks

This may help. It claims there are only $5 machines with good payouts. I looked for the one on the main floor and couldn't find it but supposedly there are also machines in the high limit room but I've never gone looking for them. I rarely play VP and wasn't to motivated to play $25 a hand. But all in all that website is great for finding video poker machines they've been spot on anytime I've really looked hard for a machine they claimed was there.

Got here today and played some 2/5. I can verify that the 2/5 games have live dealers. The 1/2 games are electronic. About 5 hours at the 2/5 table and I ran 1K up to 4K. Hope that's a good sign for the series. I'll be here the whole two weeks if anyone wants to hit me up for a beer or to get me high.
