Vegas casino's dont want to show there cash game rules???

Recommended Posts

New account on this board...

Well I got banned from venetian tonight....

The reason. Waiting to see the "rule book"

Then I went to wynn and was told " there is no cash game rulebook". I was giving emails to director and wynn and the venetian. Mr. Tommy Larosa replied with these interesting emails.....

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Me: "im not going to beat around the bush. I was kicked out of your poker room tonight for what amounted to asking for a official copy of the rules....

Rules are public knowledge and if we cant email a copy then I would like something physical that if official. Players have a right to know the house rules in accordance with the fair gambling act.

I'm not trying to ruffle any feathers however it is a little silly to not let someone play poker for changing tables.... Then no production of the rule book is very fishy. I would just like to know how to get a copy of the rules please so that when my friends and I play poker in your room we are fully aware of all discrimination etc."

Tommy: "SWIM,

If you would like to provide me your Grazie number and what time the incident happened, I will be more than happy to investigate. Did security ask you to leave, or a poker room team member? Do you have a name?

If you would like to discuss the incident tonight, I would encourage you to speak to Rich Carlson, the Shift Manager on duty right now. "

Me: "no i dont use player cards it was room team member. No name.

Do you have to "join the club" to know the rules?"

Tommy: "Swim,

If you would like to speak to my shift manager, he will be happy to address your concerns and show you the rules that pertain to your incident. "

Me: "i don't really need you to bother your shift manager all I would like is a copy of your house rulebook or know how to obtain a copy? Do I have to submit my identity information and obtain a players card to have access to the rules? Thanks."

Tommy: "Swim,

You aren't bothering my shift manager, this is what we are here for. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide you the whole rule book as requested, but we are happy to show you any rules that pertain to your incident. If you would like to come by tonight, he will be expecting you and is happy to sit down and discuss your concerns."

------------------> KEYWORDS: "You aren't bothering my shift manager, this is what we are here for"

Me: "I mean I guess my main concern and question is how I would feel comfortable playing high stake or low without a valid concrete version of the rules? I'm confused now?"

Tommy: "There are reasons why a poker room would not disseminate the whole rule book to patrons. We are however, happy to show you rules that pertain to your incident. I've made several attempts, and this will be my last one, to address your concerns and show you the part of the rule book which pertains to your incident today. If you would like to address your concerns any further, my shift manager Rich Carlson is expecting you and will be happy to discuss these matters with you. "

----------------> Keyword "There are reasons why a poker room would not disseminate the whole rule book to patrons." WTF?????? ALSO "I've made several attempts, and this will be my last one, to address your concerns and show you the part of the rule book which pertains to your incident today." WHY IS HE THREATENING TO DISCONTINUE PAYING PLAYER CUST. SERVICE???? DO THESE PEOPLE NOT LIKE FAIR PLAY MONEY?

Me: ""There are reasons why a poker room would not disseminate the whole rule book to patrons"

well now I am curious to know why it would be bad for players to know all the rules?"

Me: "why are you threaten to not help me anymore when I am confused about things? It doesn't make any sense to not assist money. I'm a paying player like everyone else and now that the statement has been made "There are reasons why a poker room would not disseminate the whole rule book to patrons" i'm sure not only me but the public in general would be interested to know the reason behind that.

It would be the most basic human logic to know why not knowing all the rules would be a good idea. I was just simply inquiring as to why this is the policy if it is so important? Surely I am not the first or the last to ask these questions?

Does everyone get ushered away who inquires to the rules or as to why it wouldn't be beneficial to know the rules? Surely this is not proper customer service. You even stated yourself earlier sir that "You aren't bothering my shift manager, this is what we are here for".

does your shit manger have an email that I could possibly just be informed why it's better for players to not know all the rules? Certainly I do not have to travel back there, wait for Rich just to have a simple question like this answered. It's not about any particular rule just simply in regards to the statement "There are reasons why a poker room would not disseminate the whole rule book to patrons" and why this would be beneficial to any player except the house.

You have to understand I am not an angry player. Frankly I love to laugh and this situation has nearly brought tears to my eyes. It's very puzzling and concerning. It seems kind of scammy.

And now I can't get anyone to respond to me via email. Which is why we have email in the first place. To keep people like you and I from having to exhaust resources energy time etc.

Can someone please give me a non-runaround answer why "There are reasons why a poker room would not disseminate the whole rule book to patrons" would be beneficial. Thank you."

ok so wtf guys why doesn't anyone have an official rulebook. I have played 5/10 in casino but why would I if people can just make up rules? Makes no sense are these people not ivolating some type of fair gambling code? Tis is every casino I know of. WTF?I think these scubags just ruined poker for me

is there even any casino that really cares about fair play and has a transparent rulebook. This is really the only way to help be fair with all the cheating that goes on...

I'm not playing anymore until I find somewhere that does.

Then early this morning I get banned from hooters (where I am a guest) for flying my toy helicopter in a deserted parking lot... Come onnnnn.....

Now they are refusing refund of advance booking, resort fees, incidentals etc.... illegal. yep. But in vegas they scam you then ask questions later when the judges DONT rule in your favor because they are paid for by the house......

last time I will ever be in this town. Such a sad loss vegas. The mob has totally given up on vegas and making it into a nice paradise type place. It's so trashy and locally bummy now etc. Bye

cry baby?

would we bet or even watch sports if we didnt know the field rules? Sure we all know how to play the game of poker just like football. Sure we all know how to play a sport but there has to be some field or "house" rules. Transparency and everyone understanding is what keeps the game fun..

Either both of you (not zen) are house shills/troll and/or are blind to the obvious. Every cash came is stacked with asian collusion teams now. People are marking cards left and right. These are other issues but I felt necc. to bring rule book into play because why are they hating on my for so many little rules when they should be going after these cheaters?

I will post an update soon of my phone calls with every main card room in vegas. It will be interesting to hear what they have to say. Wynn and Venetian response have me never wanting to play again. We will see what the rest say..

Funny that you mention knowing the rules for sports. Check out where the rules are posted in the Vegas sportsbooks next time you are in town. Often times the rules are posted way up along the smoky ceiling and good luck reading any of that. Sure you know all the rules on sports, you would be surprised what the books consider a winning wager to be or not due to different things that happen in sports.
