Is ACR down?

Recommended Posts

Update: Hello guys, we are still experiencing the DDOS attacks, we had canceled all paused tournaments and refunded them according to our T&Cs. Our tech team is working to have the system back to normal. Apologies for the inconveniences and thank you for your patience.

I was able to play later last night and it was working fine, so clearly your tech team found a way to get it working, but somehow still allowed the SAME attack to happen again? Your twitter feed gives no consistent updates, is there any place online that ACR gives consistent updates to let people know in more real time when you re back? This is extremely bad customer service.

I get how easily a DDOS attack can happen, especially since its been happening to a lot of other large tech companies recently, but the idea of it happening 3 days in row, having the site shut down tourneys around the same time, then it coming back later on seems odd. Not saying inside job or anything, but just seems odd to have coordinated scheduled and consistent attacks. I was able to play a good set of tourneys last night at least, but maybe they do this just to avoid overlays in their daily 80k LOL

I saw tournaments as running this morning, I was able to log in too, then an hour later went to register a couple and none are running anymore, though I am bale to log in fine. Did they just cancel them for no reason? Again NO UPDATES from ACR rep, that's the worst part.

This is the worst answer. If an attack were happening, how does a company know an exact time when a tech issue could be solved? The last few days the site came back at various times, so why would today have an exact schedule time to return? It just doesn't make much sense.

This is unacceptable. I'm debating about just taking my money off.

Maybe it's time for ACR & the rest of the WPN network to bite the bullet and hand off the task of Mitigating DDoS attacks to companies that specialize in doing just that. Would likely cost a bunch but probably less then they are losing from the constant stream of attacks that knock out the site for hours and hours at a time. Often at the worst possible time for people who have gone deep in tournies. Since it's also come up that another poker site is putting the attackers up to it, maybe it's also time to sink a bundle of cash into people/companies who specialize in finding out things like this. Figure out the other site responsible and go for the jugular. The constant attacks and shutdowns of the site are so far beyond any level of acceptability, that to not do everything possible to stop it and also figure out who's behind it, no matter the cost, is a slap in the face to the players.

I wonder what other sites would benefit the most from players leaving ACR?

Back up now. But because the sportsbook was down when I made my earlier post, I lost out on what would have been winning five of six baseball games today, almost all dogs too. Thanks a lot ACR. I think I'm just going to take my money off this site, especially with the allegations of all the cheating going on here.
