  1. You could probably try America's Cardroom? It's not legal (being US facing) and subject to being closed therefore by US authorities but plenty do play it.
  2. Remember him? Used to be a big winner.
  3. ...yes. I'd raise with 2 cards if I were him as well, but would you min raise with two pair I asked? I wouldn't be min raising two pair if I were him. I'd be min raising with something much stronger because I want value but also to keep you in. That for me is the key, but i can quite happily accept your line as well and I would find it very hard to fold to that ,min raise if I were you.
  4. I think this is an easy fold. Your stack will be relatively unchanged at over 30bbs if you fold. The question you have to ask is do you want to risk all your stack calling with a pair of tens. When put like that it sounds a bit shit, doesn't it? What do you expect here? You may be ahead of a smaller pair but not very often. Perhaps he shoves with 77 and up but he's risking half his stack and like you will be expecting to flip. Any less than 77 and he risks losing to double paired boards as well as flipping you. So you may be ahead, but more than likely you will be flipping. With well over 30bbs left there is no need to call off your stack for a flip. Shoving it would Your call on the original shaver shows you must have a reasonable hand, but as it turned out the' all in' captain shoved light on you. You're still flipping though and you don't need to.
  5. Firstly your bet sizing is too small. It's ok to bet 2.2bb but only really later in a tourney. This early on you get one caller and it prices a whole bunch of others in and you will have to play a stack of flops with 3, 4 and 5 opponents. Not ideal and makes for difficult play when you have only one pair. So change that first. Then your bet on the flop is even weaker. For the same reasons you must be stronger here early on, especially to price out the draw. I think you are betting less than 40% of the flop into 4 other opponents... why? Its asking for a call and to be outdrawn. Consequently you've left yourself a lot to do with just one pair on the flop and its complicated. There are so many hands out there that got to see the flop cheaply. What do you expect will be betting into you at this point? There are so many possibilities from those four other callers. You've got a good stack, it's still very early. throw it away and make better decisions earlier in the hand next time to make it easier for you.
  6. I don't think top two pair min raises the turn. would you do that?
  7. The river card is irrelevant here. The turn is where the danger has come. It would be a very odd line to have played AA this way so I don't think you need to worry about that. The min raise on the turn is where it's at. He's begging for a call. He's got it there. If you can't find a fold there then you won't on the river. FWIW...in the heat of the moment I can't fold that either. Interesting hand to think about though. thanks for posting.
  8. The min raise on the turn is always a bad sign, because they know you are priced into a call and likely will. It's a classic way for him to play a set, especially if he thinks you have hit the ace on the turn. Why would he min raise on a draw card? He wants a call to that raise. He's making you pay over the odds if you have a draw which means he has bottom set beat here also. No way 2 pair min raises on the turn. He has to have a set here...and you have bottom set so it looks bad. tough to fold though...especially if multi-tabling. Very hard to get away from this though.
  9. Just out of curiosity I emailed Stars yesterday to ask how many hands I had played. They got back to me in a few hours with a figure 692,456 That's a lot more than I thought and I reckon if you add in Tilt, 888, Party and some time on the old Tribeca skins and other stuff I've probably played over 1,500,000 hands of online Poker. I thought i'd be better at it after all this... hey ho. How many have you lot played?
  10. Thanks for all that... it helps. Still a lot to do to improve here clearly.
  11. This is why i'm no good..... I fold here. I fold almost every time to a cold shove and re-shove. I don't see i'm beating much. sometimes the reshove has a mid/low pair but only about 30% of the time. I don't see them showing up with that very often on the FT. So the rest of the time I'm beat or racing overs. I don't want to do that when I don't have to... ....but like I said, I suck. So I guess do what the other guys said.
  12. Have $140 - 888 - WiredFox Want $140 - Stars - daughton
  13. I saw him shove ATo to an early raise with him in Mid position with about 18BB. I'd guess this was on the thin end of aggressive...no real need to do that. He lost to AKs btw. But this was in a $10 tourney so I guess he didn't care to much.
  14. Been like this for months.... it just freezes on the update box and I can't even close it. Nothing happens. Tried removing it and downloading the software again. WTF is wrong? Any ideas?
  15. This is the final table. I thought at the time it was an autocall... but the odds are not the nearly 1/1 I have to call are they? So should I have folded or is the call ok? 16. Standard shove with 8BB I think... the only thing I can find in favour of a fold is Harrington is right in saying your odds are always better when you're first into the pot with your shove... I mean what do you want? If an Ace hits the board you double up and you are satisfied you made the right shove. It didn't...standard spot IMO.
  17. I'm shyte at poker...maybe I should go play Merge now? Might win something.
  18. I hate spots like this and have often done what you did. I just try to calm down now. Usually the least the villain has is top pair here. More likely overs or a set and they think you can't fold. None of this really matters because you are open-ended and I understand you are calling every time her, because I used to do it, but it's a spew IMO. In truth I have learnt to fold these... It isn't worth the cost. it's about 4.5/1 to justify a call and you're not getting that even if you only call the flop. The problem with calling the flop is you probably have to fold to a turn bet/shove and so you've just spewed a quarter of your stack. This is a leak and one I've struggled to correct but I think you fold the flop especially as he has a stack to play with and you don't want to punt it all on a draw when you don't need to.
  19. why are we still getting these posts in 2013? ...next you'll tell me the moon landings didn't happen.
  20. This is probably a fairly good assessment to go by.
  21. 2011 my ITM% was 20% and my ROI was -6% 2012 my ITM% was 21% and my ROI was 40% 2013 my ITM% is 17% and my ROI is currently 54% Therefore....... I'm not sure I would read too much into it?
  22. Done... will anybody do the other £75 for me?
