  1. I'd say give it one more day. If it's not playable tomorrow then cancel the competition and just refund everything out. Very ticked off right now that we can't play. Been playing well and was ready to Krush this series (pun intended)
  2. I'm in. Sign me up and let me know where i need to send the $50. BCP-JohnRusso
  3. oh kevmode u really have zero chance of making the top 10 on opr on Lock

  5. Nice mix of Dolts and Regs in this thread, all you fish thinking you are "colluding" by registering in the same MTT are totally missing the point... If you simply want to grind with others at a buddies house its simply dumb to restrict the registration (i.e pokerstars restricts registering the same ip address with 45mans and under which is a good standard policy), but restricting it in a 800 person MTT seems to defeat the purposes if you can register for a 90 person field in a smaller buy in tourney on merge...
  6. kids a real sicko bout time u broke thru wit a sick heater keep it up
  7. would love a scouting report unfortunately the Lab Rat Beat me into the top 100 on p5s well done sir... congrats u sicko
  8. lo0 is this some kinda joke, if your seriously complaining about bad beats when u have 4 and 5 big blinds then you have zero chance of being a successful winning poker player because this is just absurd. You have no right to call the 1010 and 96 bad beats as your opponent is priced in to call u with any two cards. Got a lot to learn buddy and complaining about a 1$ buy in when u get 2 outered for zero chips is just comical, BIN you fish.

  10. Full Tilt needs to do something because its ridiculous when late reg for a 2 day event is open for a half/hour without letting any1 know. So tilted atm for missing it a joke that it only has 794 runners, tilt needs to fix this for the futurel
  11. Couple questions for ya Lab? -How can we expand shove wars to potentially make it a nightly tourney on ftp or stars? -Who's gonna be first to ship a Sunday Major, and how pissed will the winner be shipping the other a 5 figure score? -Wug thoughts on the yearly swapping winner for 2010 and what should our side bet for PLB be this year? -Good luck down the road, can't wait to graduate come may and let's get on a house in Vegas for WSOP, pz John
  12. As a young poker player who wants to "reach the promise land", there will be doubters throughout your long journey to the top as there is in just about anything in life, but the best way to handle them is to turn their doubt into motivation with each and every session you played. I started this summer just finished from my junior year in college coming home with no real serious job or "internship" like I "should" have had because its the proper thing to do...imo F' dat where graduating in a terrible time with no relative end in site so my option was to turn to poker for the time being and see how I could do. At the time I hadn't had a dollar to my name (literally ran my account dry up at school) when I decided to get serious with poker. I had the whole conversation about "gambling" and such with my parent, which I still feel they have no idea what I'm talking about but have started to slowly come around and support me as you begin to put up results. I reached my goal of over 50k in winnings in 2009 ending around +85k based on opr as well as finishing near the top 25 for the year in NY based on p5s. I have recently become staked and cleared to play almost anything on both stars and ftp and have began the grind as a mid-high stakes player for a living. At times it can get rough, (at the moment have around 10-15 10th-24th place finishes without a Final table... yea pretty rough for my volume), but this is a game of variance and longevity. So my best advice is to use all those doubters out there as motivation and as long as you believe in yourself and your abilities (as does your backer) your scores will come in due time, albeit when you least expect it. I've hit 2 30kish scores over the past two months as well as taking some sick final table bubbles in tournies of similiar nature all in the past 4 days, but keep your head high study the game and results will come in the long run. -John
  13. Can some1 please tell me how you check/raise preflop??

  15. At the 10$ stakes I rarely respect/give credit to the min raise ever especially if it is at the first level of the tournament. I would probably pop his min raise of 40 to around 150 or 160 probably capping the raise at 4x over his original raise, by doing this you not only take control of the pot but you also show that you have a strong hand and the min. raise will not be tolerated. If he decides to 4 bet you ship it in and hope for the best because you can't be folding AK at these stakes unless under the most bizarre circumstances, so in all likelyhood your AK is the best hand and you should be in line for an early double. - Elite
  16. I normally don't play buy ins over 75$ on the regular but will always satty in whenever possible as I had done today in the 50k. There are about 75 people left with 45 itm when this hand comes up here. This is probably my 3rd time playing the event when i found pocket 10s in the sb with a somewhat awkward stack, I'm going to post the hand as played althu I don't like how it turned out. I would like to know how everyone would play this hand as followed and also how they would play the hand otherwise. The villain here was raising somewhat often but nothing crazy, hadn't seen him 4 bet at this time, while i had a fairly tight solid image. 17. Been running pretty well in 5050 theres around 320 players (prob in the top 50 or so chip count wise) left when I found QQ in the sb when faced with a 3bet from a fairly solid not overly aggressive player from the button, with my stack i wonder whats the best way to approach this hand with my stack over just under 50bbs. I'm on the bubble of the 15k Super turbo (85 left, 84 itm) were i get involved with the Chip leader of the tourney and I am unsure what to do on the turn here, bubbling I don't find that big a deal in these as gambling for a big stack in here I feel is worth it, let me know what u think.
