  1. I think the light-headedness could be related to hydration. A lot of people say they can't workout on empty stomach, where it's pretty much all in their head, but every person is different. If you prefer to eat pre workout I would keep the carbs at a moderate level. If you eat a large quantity of food it can negatively affect your workouts from being drowsy. I recommend reading up on carb backloading.
