  1. I would go with PT4. HM2 is more taxing on the PC and can often freeze depending on the amount of hands you have or CPU. I would recomendan i5+ for HM2. Hm2 also has really unusual bugs that creep up from time to time. My HM2 cannout track bounty MTT's. It has problems calculating cashes and bountys and has completly skewd my profit. There is a way to fix it but its too time consuming. I plan on switching to PT4 because HM2 is a headache. Do not make the same mistake.
  2. I have always slacked on my mental game of poker because I never took it seriously and figured spending more time working on fundamentals and the technical side was going to be higher EV. I bought "The Mental Game of Poker" by Tendler and using his 5 step "Mental Hand History" model for analyzing reason why I feel tilt I have come to realize I might have more sophisticated leaks. I am building a bankroll so for the examples below keep in mind I play micro stakes MTT's. Here are some examples: -Failing to CR flops that favor Heros range because Hero thinks micro stakes players are too sticky -Failing to turn bottom of Heros range into bluffs because Hero feels he has no fold equity at micro stakes -Failing to 3bet bluff preflop because Hero feels no one folds at these stakes -Failing to implement more sophisticated plays because Hero thinks micro stakes players only play their cards -Etc I think you get my point. I spend hours watching and learning more advanced concepts in poker but noticed while going through Tendler's book that I seldom ever implement them, primarily out of fear. I suspect out of fear that they will never work and I will feel like an idiot when they don't. This is somewhat vague without any specific hand examples but is failing to implement more advanced techniques a mental game leak?

  4. I hovered over a player on stars and the tag said "The Deal Winner". Never seen it before does anyone know what it means?
  5. I am currently using the Resource Calculator for ICM spots at SNG FT's. It's only showing me open-shove and call ranges but I want to now the profitability of re-shoves vs an open instead of an open shove. Here is an example below. I am in 2nd spot with ICM pressure. I know it's a plus chip EV shove but I'm not sure how to calculate the re-shove with ICM. The opener has 37bb, I have 20bb and the BB has 10bb. ***** Hand History for Game 1111111111 ***** (Poker Stars) Tourney Hand NL Texas Hold'em - Tuesday, August 23, 07:24:57 ET 2016 Table 1651304016 2 (Real Money) Seat 8 is the button Seat 1: Hero ( 20978 ) - VPIP: 19, PFR: 14, 3B: 6, AF: 1.9, Hands: 418008 Seat 3: Player3 ( 11725 ) - VPIP: 42, PFR: 4, 3B: 6, AF: 1.4, Hands: 134 Seat 8: Player8 ( 34797 ) - VPIP: 33, PFR: 23, 3B: 7, AF: 2.0, Hands: 160 Hero posts ante of [60]. 6. Unlucky BigLad! To be fair, could have been worse.
  7. I had 3 seconds time bank left I couldn't get my thoughts together. I didn't want to find myself in difficult turn and river spots so i folded like a wimp. How would you continue in this spot? Would you call down and hope the turn and river bricked? Feels pretty exploitable to be folding top of my range here but without reads.... Villain is form Canada. Looking at it now Villain can have all 2 pair combos even though i am blocking most. Probably only 3 set combos of 77 since i think players 3bet 99+ from BB vs B but could be wrong. As well as somthing like T8, QT, KT, 68 and maybe KQ and AJ if he doesnt 3bet that pre. ***** Hand History for Game 1111111111 ***** (Poker Stars) $5.00 USD NL Texas Hold'em - Thursday, May 28, 12:22:22 ET 2015 Table Donati 2 (Real Money) Seat 1 is the button Seat 1: Hero ( $9.42 USD ) - VPIP: 17, PFR: 13, 3B: 5, AF: 1.7, Hands: 92279 Seat 2: Player2 ( $4.83 USD ) - VPIP: 15, PFR: 15, 3B: 19, AF: 9.0, Hands: 84 Seat 3: Player3 ( $5.00 USD ) - VPIP: 19, PFR: 9, 3B: 0, AF: 0.0, Hands: 32 Seat 4: Player4 ( $3.75 USD ) - VPIP: 13, PFR: 13, 3B: 0, AF: 0.0, Hands: 24 Seat 5: Player5 ( $7.83 USD ) - VPIP: 67, PFR: 67, 3B: 100, AF: 2.0, Hands: 3 Seat 6: Player6 ( $5.02 USD ) - VPIP: 23, PFR: 23, 3B: 0, AF: 0.0, Hands: 13 Player2 posts small blind [$0.02 USD]. 9. Guy showed up with JJ :s. I felt turn was a blocking bet with maybe AJ/KJ. Then on river felt better about hand and went for value. Also thought QQ was a reasonable hand for this play too at these limits.

  11. Transitioned to cash last week. Grinding 5nl ZOOM ATM. I am seeing a tone of donk betting going on. I am seeing it most from the BB and SB vs B and CU opens. It seems to be mainly from value ranges but i have seen players donk in spots where i dont know if its necessarily good to have a donking range. For instance i have seen players donking sets on super dry A high boards where surely it makes more sense to check to the original raiser for a cbet? I never had much of a donking range in MTT's except for times i have completed in the SB vs a limp and wanted to protect a hand. But is there any merit to developing a donking game in cash?
  12. Player 4 showed up with AKo and player 5 showed up with Ah2h for a turned back door nut flush draw. Player 4 was 200bb eff with player 5 so i am assuming he was 4bet folding to him and 4 bet calling me and the SB. I dont know what player 5 was doing. I dont mind the 3bet but CC the 4bet with 2 callers left to act behind. I thought it smelt strength and think i snap folded. Also wasn't sure at the time player 4 had AK in his 4bet range since he was 200 eff with the 3better. :s.

  14. I have no ZOOM HUD FYI. I can only see players stats in HM2 Replayer. As a standard how should i play. Would this be a better spot to 4bet fold? On flop i didnt know what to do vs BB lead so folded. I kind of expect him to 4bet JJ+ Pre with all the dead money. 15. Had a pretty sick session yesterday. Grinded all day and ended the day up around 30 buy-ins. At one point was sitting with $40 at one table. Players must have thought we were playing 25nl. That has brought my win-rate up to 10.39bb per 100. Got gifted an 800bb pot near the end of my session when a German player on his tablet device got into a blind war with me for no reason whatsoever. They ended up snap 6bet jamming K7o for 400bb right into my AA :). I haven't tried 5nl yet but will be looking to move up soon. I am still using my MTT bankroll management guide of at least 100 buy-ins per limit. I don't know if cash is any different. Also i do have a HUD but not for ZOOM. Its been a nightmare to get fixed but thats another story. Out of curiosity what do you guys think of these opening ranges. These are the ones i came up with for ZOOM myself. They are probably a little bit too tight for 2NL. MP2/UG: 77+, AQo+, AJs+, KQs+ MP3: 55+, AJo+, ATs+, KQo+ (I could be convinced it would still be better to still be opening only 77+ here) CU: 22+, ATo+, A8s+, KJo+, Any Suited Broadway, 78s, 89s, T9s, J9s ( Could also be convinced to still be opening 55+ here ) BU: 22+ A7o+, Any Suited Ax, K8s+ Q9s+ All Suited/Unsuited Broadways, All Suited connectors and one gappers as low as 65s. SB: 55+ Any Suited Ax, A7o+, All suited Broadways, QJo+, KTo+ (I was opening a tone in SB but i was getting in difficult spots post so tightened up)
