  1. Nice one! See you soon in Austria!!!
  2. Waaaaa.... Lemme tell ya, I'm at LEAST as disappointed as you are Cal! I had such a great time escorting Carrie Stroup, PlayersOnly.com's cover girl, to PO's last big party (in Vegas during WSOP) I was really looking forward to another great night with her -- 'specially since she's celebrating her "Babe-of-the-Month" spread in the September issue of Playboy Magazine! What a mess. The organizers had the Mansion, a bunch of A-list stars, etc etc... all seemed good. Who knew they'd screw up so badly!? Thanks for pointing out that it's not PlayersOnly.com that cancelled this event. We were just sponsoring it, not organizing it. As you said, PlayersOnly.com is all about poker and parties. They already had the next event at the Playboy Mansion in the works and everyone that was to come to this one will definitely be invited to the next one. That means YOU Cal! I'll try and get you some extra tickets to give away to Pocket5ers since so many seem to be salivating at the prospect of partying at Hef's place! Larry PlayersOnly.com
  3. PlayersOnly.com is throwing a huge party in Las Vegas to celebrate the beginning of the Championship Tournament at the WSOP. All PO players are welcome to attend! It'll be at the Sapphire Gentlemen's Club -- the largest strip club in Vegas -- on July5th. There will be an open bar compliments of PO from 10pm - midnight, so come on over after the P5S party! Players expected include David Williams, Robert Williamson, Antonio Esfandari, Phil Laak, Jennifer Tilly, Phil Gordon, Gus Hansen, Eric Lindgren and Mike Mizerachi who all attended last year. Open bar... poker tournaments... lap dancers... topless servers... a thousand partying poker players... sound like fun? If you have a PlayersOnly ID you're in. Get your free tickets here: www.playersonly.com/bluff-las-vegas. If you're not registered at PO do that first here: Players Only See you in Vegas! Larry

  5. I work with PlayersOnly.com and just got off the phone with the guy that won their first WSOP satellite earlier this season. Since, like someone said earlier, satellite winners don't necessarily HAVE to use their cash prize to register for the Main Event. This guy said from the beginning that he was definitely going to Vegas and when I talked to him just now he said he has his tickets and hotel reservations and can't wait to go! This was even before I told him about the big party PlayersOnly.com is throwing at the Sapphire Gentlemen's Club in Vegas July 5th to kick-off the Main Event. Dunno what other online poker rooms are doing to take care of their satellite tournament winners, but we will definitely be making sure this PO winner has a good time in Vegas!
  6. U.S.-facing online poker room PlayersOnly.com is sending five tournament winners to compete in the All Star Night at the Playboy Mansion celebrity fundraising tournament in Los Angeles June 21st. The top 5 finishers of PO’s Playboy Mansion Party Final this Sunday, June 17th will each receive a pair of VIP tickets to the event. Hosted by Rodney Peete and attended by over two hundred athletes, celebrities and Playmates, All Star Night At The Playboy Mansion is one of the biggest and most anticipated events of the year. This year’s invitation-only event – at one of the hottest party venues on the planet -- will feature a runway fashion show spotlighting the season’s latest and hottest swimsuit and lingerie designers and a surprise guest musical performance. You can get to the Playboy Mansion Party Final by winning a qualifying free roll this Saturday, June 16th at 6 pm ET or by winning one of many daily cash satellites between now and then. Players that want to avoid the crowds at the free roll tables can enter a cash satellite Sit and Go with fewer players. S&G satellite buy-ins range from $2 to $10. There will also be $5 Multi-table tournament satellites running everyday at 12:30 a.m. until the 16th. The complete tournament schedule and structure is posted in the PlayersOnly.com Tournament Lobby.
  7. Pocket5s member "odessaslim" won the "Lucky You" tournament at PlayersOnly.com last weekend. He and his dad will be flying to New York this weekend to attend the premiere of Drew Barrymore's romantic new poker movie, Lucky You. "In this tourney I played loose at the begining because first was the only place that had any value to me and I wanted to have a chance to win. I thought I was the favorite to win when there were nine players left. I was second in chips and the chip leader didnt want to take control of the table so assumed this role and when it was down to heads up I had a huge chip lead." Every Sunday night PlayersOnly.com hosts a WSOP Satellite and will be awarding a total of 12 $12,000 WSOP prize packages. A 13th package is being auctioned and will go to the lowest unique bid -- meaning it could easily be bought for a buck or less. www.PlayersOnly.com
  8. We'll be showing clips from the movie on plasma screens around the club, but it's definitely more PARTY than screening. Don't worry -- we'll send you home with a DVD! We'll have poker tables, yes, but of course no wagering. ;) We've also got some cool music planned: 2Deep. (check out http://www.2deeponline.com) See you next week?! Larry/Aces
  9. Hey poker players... One thing I forgot to mention to Dan when we extended this invitation to Pocket5s members is the hot poker celebrity we've got hosting the Aces.com Movie Release Party -- Brandi Williams, co-host of TV's Ultimate Poker Challenge will MC the festivities!!! Also, here's the full invitation with all the party details. If you want to come, just send me an email and I'll put you on the list. Larry
