  1. You play after work? That's likely a big factor then. I'd focus on turbos and sngs and play shorter sessions if I was you. Think about it, if you're playing mtts I'd imagine a good session for you is gonna run about 8hrs+ or so? You're basically trying to work 2 jobs. I reckon sngs, small field mtts, turbos and multi day tourneys for a max session of about 6hrs would be a good idea.
  2. Visit your local glory hole for some much needed relaxation!!! Nah, nah but seriously. Apart from the obv brm stuff I find deep breathing meditation for about 30mins pre-grind, a decent walk and some fresh air is great. Watching some mindset stuff and reading the mental game of poker would be a good idea too. Also make sure you're eating properly with plenty of fruit veg and whole grains in there, low blood sugar can really contribute to mood swings I find.
  3. Actually my top recommendation of games for you to look at playing would be the 55c-1.35 turbo mtts. They're great little bankroll builders and are incredible value for your roll size. Players are really terrible in them and the faster structure reduces the time commitment compared to the regular speed games.
  4. Might I be so bold as to suggest stricter and more conservative brm? I started back at the bottom in January after having a decent year last year. I started with 17$ in January and as of Thursday (early hours of Friday morning) I'm back up to €2500 after satting into and FTing the Big 11. I started by grinding a helluva lot of 25c sngs moving up and taking shots at bigger games as my roll grew. While it might sound silly, this method really helps me stay motivated as a sort of 'penance' for taking my BR for granted. I definitely feel you brm of 3.50s and 10.50s with 100€ is way way way too aggro of a brm. Try grinding smaller to give yourself a chance and include some small satellites in your grind to give you the shot at a big score without putting alot of $$$ at risk. Hope you don't feel I'm being too critical but really to make it work you must have a more conservative brm strategy. Best of luck man!!!!
  5. I just discovered Gripsed 3 days ago and I have to say I'm very impressed. At first his SUPER upbeat persona made me cringe a little bit (mostly in the motivational and Q&A videos) but after watching a few videos I warmed to it and started to understand where he's coming from with it. I think this has a lot to do with his success and when I think about it, if you come to it in a state where you are heavily influenced by negative thoughts and emotions then of course someone who is the polar opposite is going to grate on you a little bit, but if you want to succeed you have to stay motivated or you slip into bad cycles. In the actual review and strategy videos he's a little more reserved and gets the information across clearly and concisely. There's a good range of content there and plenty of low and middle stakes MTT strategy, which is primarily what I'm about. For me though the star of the show is the emphasis on performance enhancement and the mental side of the game. Staying motivated and managing my approach to grinding has always been a challenge for me and it's really refreshing to find a site that emphasises this aspect of the game so much. Having and maintaining a good attitude, working harder and smarter and being a good self manager is the key to success in my opinion. I can see from my own results that success has come primarily during periods when I've made real efforts to be dedicated to improving and failure has been, well, as a result of taking success for granted and, frankly, becoming complacent. As to the people saying they thought he was egotistical I'd have to beg to differ. I think he has high self esteem which is NOT the same as being 'egotistical' or 'arrogant' So yeah, guess I'm becoming a bit of a fanboy :P. Highly recommend!!!
  6. http://www.pokernews.com/news/2014/06/portugal-to-regulate-online-gaming-by-july-10-18512.htm Not sure how accurate this is but worth a look. They obv haven't pushed it through yet, but it may well be in the pipelines.
  7. Seems like a slightly less of a drooler than usual, but essentially an 'IZ RIGGED, STOP DA CHEATARZZZZZ' post. What happen, you lose like 2 60/40s in a row?
