  1. I’m the UTG opener in this hand, so maybe I can shed some perspective on this hand. The dude who shoved was a maniac, his stats put him down like 12k over a decent sample, and up until that point he had been playing 56/45/13 over 70 hands. He was clearly not giving any fucks. In one hand, I opened UTG like this, and he quickly shoved like 30 bigs, and won with A7o. He would 3bet his big hands to smaller amounts and shove weaker ones (when he wanted to 3bet). The hand in question, he was on crazy monkey tilt even though he shouldn’t have been (should you ever?). He had just lost about half his stack through two or three terribly playedd hands, and it was obvious to me he was able to shove it off. I ended up folding because Newport’s call looked very strong to me, but maybe he just outplayed me this hand. I folded AJ, but was pepared to call the shove.
