Better Call Saul Season 3-April 10th
Well they took pains in previous episodes to reinforce the precision of the gun to a dime over long distances. That part of the act isn't a comic book piece - it was well-developed. So he knew the size of the hole, and the pressure of the package in the shoe, so the stream would come out... but the coke landing on the bumper itself is a bit more iffy - that shit would be blowing all over the place. Although with the sensitivity of drug dogs' olfactory abilities, trace amount could well get the job done. They always take some license for the absurd in this show, but this wasn't the most crazy ...

Peaky Blinders is the bomb, when I watched it the first time, or if someone had told me it was the greatest thing they'd ever seen... it speaks for itself. It's art. ... Inside Man is a great movie, but c'mon man, he's made a ton of good movies, starting with Malcolm X. He Got Game, Crooklyn, Clockers, Jungle Fever, She's Gotta Have It. You might have watched Do the Right Thing like 10 years later and not gotten it at all, or watched it whenever and not gotten it at all... but that was actually an impactful film at the time. I just gave Kim Basinger shit for her over-the-top ...

ohhhh good point about Spike Lee - you can see Kim Basinger trying too hard at the Oscars re: Spike Lee and the Academy applauding her... (you can be entertained by Arnold or fwd to the point starting at 1:25) And if you want to see how the rest of the world looks at movies outside of Freaklifornia, "Crash" has a 7.8 on IMDB and a 75% Rotten Tomatoes. The Silence of the Lambs has an 8.6 IMDB and a 95% Rotten Tomatoes. fyi

I heard that Don Cheadle was a P5er, maybe an OTer back in the poker days.... there are definitely people here who can reveal that truth. I thought Crash was okay. There are a lot of people who trash it. It's the kind of movie that people in California love. It won an Academy Award because it's an LA film. It's a piece of garbage compared to a work of art like Silence of the Lambs.

Official NFL Draft 2017
yeah that was the haul i mentioned (on the picks). Foster will probably be a beast in the NFL. I think the Niners and Browns both killed it. On the Browns, people say "but they didn't get a QB"... well there wasn't one to get, unless you wanted to let an amazing defensive prize go to roll the dice on yet another equally possible bust QB like you've done for about a dozen times in a row. They did everything they could possibly do in this draft to build their future, they didn't address the QB spot (at least today), and they'll suck again this season. But they made great moves and had a ...

Official NFL Draft 2017
The Niners used their 2nd round pick to move up a few spots, so that counts for their first round pick - but Foster slid for a reason, and it's not his dilution... it has to be the shoulder. But as you say, if he's healthy, he wrecks guys on the field, so he could be an incredible steal at this point. They had a fantastic haul in the front end for sure, and killed it with Solomon obviously. So it was an excellent draft. But not like the greatest of all time for certain. The Browns got probably one of the best defensive players of the next decade. They added a 1st round pick next year ...

Official NFL Draft 2017
To post on the draft night thread for future reference, Taco Charlton's comps out of Michigan are similar to Justin Tuck's coming out of Notre Dame. So that is the upside target - not a speed rusher, but a physical, size, push from the end in the 4-3. He was inconsistent in college so he could turn out to be average... but if responds to coaching and maximizes his ability, Tuck is the type of player he could potentially be. Browns win the night. Niners could be a tie, or close runner-up.

Cowboys weren't taking Conley. They are sitting in fantastic shape right now.... Kevin King would be a great corner pick. But Takkarist McKinley or Taco Charlton would be great on the pass rush as well. It's a very high probability they're addressing one of those 2 spots, and I think one of those 3 (if available) could be the pick edit: well there goes one of them. Trade down is a possibility with the depth of defensive need, but I don't know how they let King slide if he is available.

This is a nightmare pick to add to their receiving corps. The only saving grace is that Eli can't pass anymore, and they haven't addressed the QB position.
