  1. If you read my last blog, I discussed how I turned a really bad run and 87 cents left over into a personal challenge. I won a bunch of SnG's used alot of bankroll management and displine to try to not take "the big shot". A couple weeks ago, I reached a mile stone. I was down (yes down from $940) to $860 and my wife was wanting to go to dinner for a friday. Since I didn't want to play a MTT since I didn't ahve time or a SnG since I was running pretty bad, I played a .50/1 cash game. I haven't played a cash game in 4 or 5 months cause I'm big on reading players, and I think online cash games
  2. After a couple 4 figure scores back in May - July live and online. I went in a bad 3 month dry streak where I couldn't cash for anything and became sub par in cash games. I took week or so off poker and then on a wednesday I was off from work, I logged on FTP and saw I had 87 cents. This was November 8th. I was going to deposit but saw that had enough to play .01/.02 games. I ran it up to $2.93. Enough for a $2 SnG which I won for $9. played a $5 SnG and came in 3rd for $9. Won my weekly HORSE game on FTP for $45. came in 2nd in a 90 ply $6 tourney for $88. and now today on January 9th, I h

  4. I'm a first times for the World Series. Playing in event #54 ($1,500 buyin NLHE). I need some advice on the best way to play this structure. Chip Count:4,500 Blinds level increase: 1 hour start at 25-50 2,700 player projection My Main goal is to cash and have a good showing obv but I don't want the money to affect my play. Should I play fast since everyone is just about as nervous as me? or shouold I tighten my game up seeing as there are mostly veterans that I'm playing with. (I don't call them amateurs anymore, it's not 2005) Thanks in advance yall

  6. he made a horrible call in the small blind with Q9 but before you know his cards, I would put him on small pair or suited connectors. Once that flop comes, only player I'm worried about is Ithfen. Once he folded on your flop bet, the other guy had to be chasing. I can see why you checked in case he had the straight or but he would have raised u with 2 pair sicne the straight draw is on the board. He either had a weak hand or the nuts. nothing else.
  7. He told me later if he had JJ, he would have folded. He thought I had a shot at having Aces, thats was my first time all tournament 4 betting and we stayed out of each others way until this point. I thought he HAD to had A's or K's to play with me...MAYBE Q's.
  8. I figure I had to call once e shoved. But when he 3 bet the original raiser, should I have gone nuts and 4 bet it with AQ or just folded since his stack was the only one that can knock me out, or just fold since I don't even wanna play a pot with him.
  9. I think I could have done any one in this situation but I'll take the majority vote. I don't have the hand history detail but this is pretty simple. Average stack is 11,000 I have 22,000 Top 180 pay and 188 are left I have 2 other players at my table having 20,000, everyone else is 8,000ish. Blinds 50/200/500 I'm the button. 8 handed 1st position Fold 2nd position Fold 3rd position (low stack) bets 1300. Hyjack position (only player having me covered with 27,000) re-raises to 4,200 I Have AQs and re-raise to 9,500 all fold back to 3rd position who folds Big Stack thi
  10. #1. ARe you going for first or trying to move up in money chain? #2. you have another player behind you. #3. Has CKing done this a number of times bullying yall? #4. I'm guessing 8 handed table. you're making it sound like your 3 handed. I would fold.
  11. Is this a lesson on how lucky you are or how easy it is to slow roll when your on the internet?
  12. Bro, I just did the same thing. I never went past $200 and I won a $3 655 player MTT. $407.50. I was askin my friends the same thing. I'm gonna play more $3-$5 MTT and $10 Single Tables. I play cash games alot too though, and I make easier scores in those....not sure how to mix that in.
  13. I don't think I'de call the UTG raise. But from your point of view, alot of my friends like to do min raises form under the gun to pump the blinds up. I think you either needed to fold or go all the way with the hand preflop. When you raise, you need to be willing to make a stand to a 4 bet. losing 30% of your stack is not worth a good lay down.
