    About 888poker NJ

888poker is owned by 888 Holdings and was established in 2002. 888poker was previously Pacific Poker, which was established in 1997, before the transition was made to rebrand to 888poker in 2002. It is one of the leading online poker platforms in the world, and 888poker NJ is the ring-fenced version of the platform available within the State of New Jersey, where online poker is legal and regulated.

888poker operates under the Bally’s internet gaming license in the State of New Jersey. 888poker software powers WSOP.com’s US-regulated online poker platform. It is important to note that 888poker NJ does not share liquidity with international 888poker platforms, but it does share liquidity with the WSOP.com platform in New Jersey and subsequently Nevada and Delaware through an interstate partnership.

Players familiar with playing on WSOP.com’s US-regulated platform will be very familiar with 888poker NJ’s platform, including software and game variety. Cash games, tournaments, and sit-n-gos are available from 888poker NJ, and game offerings are populated by no-limit Texas hold’em and pot-limit Omaha. Although limit hold’em, Omaha hi-low, seven-card stud, and seven-card stud hi-low have tabs within the 888poker NJ client, you’d be hard pressed to find a game of one of these variants running. The site’s games mainly consist of no-limit Texas hold’em.

Through shared liquidity with the WSOP.com platform, 888poker NJ players can find World Series of Poker satellite offerings for poker’s biggest festival that takes place in Las Vegas each summer. Furthermore, 888Poker remains the international online poker partner in most jurisdictions for the WSOP.

In 2016, 2017, and 2018, 888poker was a sponsor of Poker Central’s $300,000 buy-in Super High Roller Bowl. 888poker also partnered with the World Poker Tour internationally to allow players to qualify for WPT events in Europe.

That means if you deposit $1,500, you’ll receive a match bonus of $1,500. 888poker NJ’s Welcome Bonus is granted in $10 portions each time you collect 100 “Bonus Points” through playing real-money poker and casino games at 888poker. Players have 90 days to claim the bonus.

New players can receive $20 free with no deposit needed from 888poker NJ. All you have to do is sign up for a new account at 888poker NJ. The free $20 is broken down into $10 in free play for select 888casino games, six 888poker tournament tickets valued at $1 each, and $4 in bonus money credited to the player’s account. New players can only receive this offer once and the six tournament tickets expire 14 days after issue, so act quickly.

It’s not just about poker, either. The platform offers a wide variety of casino games, too. By playing 888casino’s games, you have a chance to win a ticket to a special $500 Casino Freeroll. All you have to do is wager $25 in total in one of the casino games during the week and you’ll be awarded a ticket.

    888poker NJ Rewards

Players on 888poker NJ can earn rewards through the site’s rewards program. Reward Points earned can be converted into cash and players can benefit from special Rewards Freerolls based on status.

Players earn Status Points for playing real-money ring games or tournaments or by placing real-money wagers on casino games at 888poker. The Status Points determine your tier level at which you’ll earn Reward Points. The higher your status, the more Reward Points you will earn.

To convert your Reward Points into cash, enter the 888poker NJ lobby, select “My Profile” and then select “My Reward Points.” You should then see an option to “Convert Points” and you can do this at a redemption rate of $10 for every 1,000 Reward Points.

Players can also benefit from 888poker NJ freerolls based on status. All players are eligible to compete in a daily $50 freeroll, and players with at least an Iron-level status are eligible to compete in a weekly $500 freeroll. Players with at least Silver status can compete in a monthly $1,000 freeroll. That’s thousands of dollars in freeroll value every month from 888poker NJ.

As it shares liquidity with WSOP.com, 888poker NJ has good traffic given the size of its market. No-limit hold’em cash games, tournaments, and sit-n-gos make up the most trafficked games, but pot-limit Omaha is available most of the time, especially through cash games.

888poker NJ averages around 150 players for its cash game traffic. There is a wide range of tournaments on offer, and sit-n-gos run frequently.

    Cash Games

Again, the most common poker format played on 888poker NJ is no-limit hold’em. Stakes start as low as $0.01/$0.02 and climb as high as $50/$100, with no-limit hold’em games offered in both full-ring and six-max formats.

The second most popular format behind no-limit hold’em is pot-limit Omaha poker. Stakes for pot-limit Omaha range from as low as $0.02/$0.04 and as high as $5/$10 on 888poker NJ.

    Blast Poker

‘Blast Poker’ is WSOP.com and 888poker NJ’s jackpot sit-n-go offering. Blast Poker tournaments are four-handed, super-turbo SNGs, with multipliers from two to 10,000 times the buy-in. There is a Blast timer with each Blast Poker SNG that counts down. Once the timer hits zero, all remaining players automatically go all in until a winner is crowned.

The 888poker NJ software isn’t incredible, but it’s more than acceptable. Many would consider it good, not great, and we agree. The lobby is easy and efficient to navigate, especially the more you use the software, and it’s not overly difficult to sign in and find a game within a very short period of time. That’s not to say the client couldn’t use an update, because it certainly could.

Once at a table, the display is simple and very much what you would expect from an online poker site. Buttons and menus are placed in the normal spots. While all of this may sound great, the software isn’t as customizable as players might like.

    Deposit and Withdrawal Options

888poker NJ allows you to deposit via electronic ACH payments, NETELLER, cash at the Caesars Atlantic City casino cage, PayPal, Visa and MasterCard, online bank transfer, and PayNearMe.

888poker NJ allows you to withdraw via electronic ACH payments, NETELLER, cash at the Caesars Atlantic City casino cage, and PayPal.

    Customer Support

888poker NJ offers all of the standard customer support options, with email, phone, and live chat available to players. It is suggested that players first check out the FAQ section on 888poker NJ’s website before escalating matters through more direct communication because oftentimes an answer can be found there.

With good traffic, a good platform, shared liquidity with WSOP.com, and the security of a global brand, 888poker NJ is a viable online poker option for those in New Jersey. It’s likely a better platform for beginner and lesser-experienced players, but that also makes for a player pool that’s on the softer side.

Overall, 888poker has a lot of experience in the world of online poker and leans on that experience to offer a quality product with 888poker NJ.
