888 poker may not be a household name in the United States, but they are an international powerhouse and should rank among the most popular PA online poker rooms. 888 also powers WSOP.com in New Jersey and Nevada, and is the sole provider of online poker in Delaware. Benefiting from being the only online poker provider that has shared liquidity between New Jersey, Nevada, and Delaware, 888/WSOP has risen to the number one online poker room in the US. Unfortunately for Pennsylvania, shared liquidity could still be a ways away.
It came as no surprise when it was announced that 888 had partnered with Harrahs Philadelphia to be their online poker provider. 888 and Caesars have a long-standing partnership spanning across all the US states that offer online gaming.

Land-Based Poker with Harrah’s Philadelphia
Harrah’s Philadelphia recently opened a brand new World Series Of Poker-branded poker room located on the main floor of the casino that features 28 poker tables, special promotions, daily tournaments and a wide variety of game and limits that suit any bankroll. The WSOP poker room is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and hopefully, one day will bring back a WSOP circuit event to Philadelphia.
888 Poker is a simple easy to navigate and customize software experience. 888 Poker downloadable client will be available for desktop and Mac, along with Android and iOS-powered devices. iOS powered devices may be a bit delayed due to new regulations on HTML5 brought forth by Apple.
888 Poker software is typically very customizable to fit any and all poker player needs. Features include multi-colored decks, background colors, seat choice, and avatar choices. Tables can be tiled or layered for those playing multiple tables at once.
When 888 goes live in Pennsylvania, we expect to see several poker options including multi-table and Sit&GO tournaments, cash games and a few mixed games.
For poker players that prefer to play on a tablet or smartphone, 888 Poker will have you covered. Although there may be a delay on iOS-powered devices, an Android app is expected to be available the same day as the desktop/Mac version launches.
While nothing is fully confirmed, we expect a wide array of deposit options. These include but are not limited to:
- 7-11 PayNearMe
- Cash at Harrah’s Philadelphia cage
Withdrawals tend to be a bit more limited than deposit options since payments cannot be made back to credit cards or 7-11 PayNearMe. All other deposit options should be available as withdrawals as well. PayPal and Cash at the Cage tend to be the fastest way to get your money, while ACH/Echeck, Skrill and Neteller can take 2-3 days. All withdrawals must first be approved by customer service which can take a few days for their internal check to be done.
While No Limit Texas Hold’em is still the most popular game offered, 888 Poker should have several other options to keep it exciting.
Some of the other options should be(but not limited to):
- Limit Hold’em
- Pot Limit Omaha
- Omaha Hi/Lo
- Seven Card Stud
- Seven Card Stud Hi/Lo
- 2-7 Triple Draw
