  2. Day 10 of the 2018 PokerStars Spring Championship of Online Poker saw Limit Stud, and Four Max events added to the mix with 'reverdy365' claiming the biggest prize of the day for $155,000. 'reverdy365' was able to outlast a field comprised of 2,464 entrants to take down Event #34-High ($530 Six Max PKO No Limit Hold'em) and win $155,317, which included a massive $64,676 in bounties. Brazil's Rafael 'LiroLa' Monteiro took the runners-up spot for $71,000, with former Sunday Million bronze medalist 'Floweerboy' banking $46,000 in third place. Ricardo 'Rick7BR' Velôso was the victor in Event #34-Low for $9,200 after he beat out the enormous 27,479 player field. The Brazilian defeated 'Miauzão' heads-up, who took away $4,800 in second. In the $55-Medium event, 'roaden' took the SCOOP title after they defeated 'Hoelle1' for the $37,999 first-place prize. Their victory also earnt them the very nice sum of $13,131 in bounties, with second-place 'Hoelle1' taking away a total of $27,800. Event #33 saw the introduction of the Stud Hi/Lo tournaments, and it proved to be a welcome addition for 'Leon_Javur'. The Estonian won their first SCOOP title for coming top of the field in the $11-Low to bank $4,196, while also brilliantly making it to heads-up play in the $109-Medium event. However, 'TheHamHunter' was hunting a title of their own and stood in the way of 'Leon_Javur' from securing a second SCOOP title of the day after the two players had agreed to a money-deal. With the prize money now chopped up, it was all about the win and 'TheHamHunter' held their nerve to eliminate the Event #33-Low champion into second-place for $10,447, with the victor taking away $11,754. In the $1,050-High event, Russia's 'ImluckNuts' became a SCOOP and WCOOP title-holder after achieving victory for $31,490. The Russian claimed first-place in last year's WCOOP Event #17-High 8-Game for $25,880, and this time around won another gold medal for defeating 'jerryfci' after a heads-up deal had been made, with the runner-up taking away $30,717 for their agreed upon share of the prize pool. It was all about the short-handed play in Event #38 as players took part in the Four-Max PKO Pot Limit Omaha tournaments. Krasimir 'Kraskata85' Yankov won a staggering $41,853 in bounties during their victory in the $530-High after a heads-up deal was agreed with '12maxel13'. The eventual runner-up, '12maxwel13' took away $25,171 + $3,781 in bounties as winner Yankov collected a total of $72,300 and the title. There was also final table appearances for current world #11 'Sasuke234' from Sweden, and 2015 SCOOP $10,300 Main Event runner-up Maroonlime, who finished in third-place for a total of $15,780. Ireland's Brendan 'Daehbonk' Naughton won their first SCOOP title after outlasting the 3,426 player field in the $55-Medium. The victory banked him $21,800 (including bounties) as 'nally18' collected $8,700 in second. The $5.50-Low buy-in tournament was taken down by 'jokkee_apart' for $3,380.73 + $1,462.88 (in bounties) after 'ZAVOD_ZT' had finished in second-place for a post heads-up deal amount of $2,780.36 + $362.15 (in bounties). 3. The top-ranked player in Hungary, Andras 'probirs' Nemeth, won over $500,000 on Day 5 of the PokerStars Spring Championship of Online Poker and in the process prevented Roman 'RomeOpro' Romanovsky from collecting an astounding third title of the series. With the bumper buy-in Low, Medium and High Event #14 tournaments all coming to a conclusion on Thursday, the results saw 12 players collect six-figure scores, including Romanovsky who made it to heads-up play on his third bullet in the $25,000 buy-in 'High' and was looking to achieve his third win of the series after taking down Event #16 (High) the day before and Event #2 (High) on Monday. But, Nemeth was the man in his way and ultimately prevented the Ukrainian from achieving the feat to claim his own third career SCOOP title and the first-place prize of $576,087. Romanovsky received $442,299 as runner-up which left the current #12-ranked player in the world less than $200,000 away from the $10M career earnings accolade. Guntis 'poker@luffyD' Aleskins picked up his largest recorded online result to date after banking $240,765 for victory in Event #14 (Medium). Former Sunday Million runner-up Aleskins defeated 'engantil' heads-up for the win, with the latter taking away $171,625 for second place. Also on the final table was 'Lena900' who collected $87,208 in fourth-place and helped 'Team Sweden' close the gap on 'Team BITBRYE' in their much talked about six-figure series prop bet. The UK's Ben 'jenbizzle' Jones overcome Brazil's Ivanildo Limeira in Event #14 (Low) to pick up his first SCOOP title, and a career-best recorded online cash of $162,039. Jones, who is a former Super Tuesday, Sunday Warm-Up and Sunday Supersonic champion, came through the 5,700 entrants field and navigated his way to victory on a final table that also featured 2017 WCOOP Main event third-place finisher, Machadada RS, and Chester20o. Event #15 saw three six-max PLO rebuy tournaments take place with 'Maizeruba', 'igor69' and 'Tr!pleeeee' all adding SCOOP titles to their names. 'Maizeruba' won $9,872 after coming through a 3,891 player field in the 'Low' and 'igor69' was the victor in the 'Medium' for $32,858, after seeing off former Pocketfives world no.#1 'cal42688' into third place. In the 'High' 'Tr!pleeeee' took away a cool $87,042 after beating Mike 'goleafsgoeh' Leah, Jerry 'Perrymejsen' Ödeen and Adam 'adamyid' Owen on the final table. Christopher 'Apotheosis92' Kruk, who featured on the Event #16 (Medium) final table on Day 4, made another SCOOP appearance on Day 5 after collecting the silver medal in Event #13 (High) Triple Draw 2-7 for $38,850. The Canadian was beaten to the top prize of $57,720 by 'merla888' after they successfully came through the 111 player field. 'TheRabbitFR' made up for their runner-up spot in Event #10 (Medium) by going all the way in Event 13 (Medium) to win $15,480. 'TheRabbitFR' beat 'SexualDrag0n' in heads-up play, on a final table that saw Pocketfives members 'komarolo22' and 'hummylun' achieve fourth and fifth place respectively. Awesome' left to do battle. After the players had agreed on a money-deal they fought for the title and remaining prize pool with 'Dhr. Awesome' prevailing for the $224,753 victory. It was a second 2018 SCOOP series silver medal for Proudfoot, who took away the considerable runners-up prize of $209,296 to smash his previous best recorded online cash of $47,771. 5. Ole ‘wizowizo’ Schemion secured his second win of the series on Day 11 of the 2018 PokerStars Spring Championship of Online Poker as 'OLD TIME GIN' banked a massive $205,828. Just days after picking up a score of $283,260 for winning Event #32-High ($10,300 Six Max Pot Limit Omaha High Roller), Schemion once again finished at the top of the field as he took down Event #36-High ($530 Deep Stacks No Limit Hold'em) and won $85,080 in the process. There was a final table reunion of sorts for Schemion and his fellow pro David 'dpeters17' Peters after both players made it to the final eight of the EPT Monte Carlo Main Event earlier this month. Peters outlasted Schemion on that occasion, finishing in fourth place after the German-born player had departed in the eighth spot. Peters mirrored his performance this time around, as he once again departed in fourth-place, good for $33,210. But Schemion however remained and was left to do battle with 'Manni1822' and William 'Hellzito' Arruda for the title. After 'Manni1822' exited with the bronze medal and $45,442, Schemion secured his second title of this year's SCOOP series and the first-place prize money by defeating the 2015 WCOOP Super Tuesday champion Arruda into second-place for $62,179. Belguim's 'OempaLoempah' took down Event #36-Medium for $39,790 after coming through a final table that featured Ben 'gs08bjohnson' Jenkins, 'ranhhh' and John 'JohnecoN' Economides. 'moneyymakerr' banked $27,721 for second-place, with Jenkins earning $13,458 in fourth as 'ranhhh' claimed $9,377 in fifth. The 'Low' title went to 'Trikover' after they came through the large 12,553 player field. The win earns them $7,861 after 'RunerRunner0' exited in second-place for $5,510. It took Canada's 'OLD TIME GIN' just two months to eclipse the $161,238 they won for victory in the Sunday Million after they added a SCOOP title to their name alongside $205,828 in Event #37-High ($2,100 Eight Max Super Tuesday No Limit Hold'em). 'OLD TIME GIN', who has over $4.5m in recorded online earnings, beat 'imluckbox' heads-up, with the second-place finisher banking a very respectable $152,624 after 585 entrants had come together to create a $1,166,000 prize pool. 'EzPaTuLa' collected a six-figure score of $113,173 for their third-place finish, with PocketFiver 'Benfica10' taking away $46,143 in sixth. Michael 'mczhang' Zhang continued their impressive form and narrowly missing out on a second SCOOP title of the week to Gabriel 'gabsdrogba' Schroeder in Event #37-Medium. Zhang, who won his first title in Event #22-High for $68,000, fell during heads-up play against the Brazilian Schroeder, who won $84,360 for topping the field. The Brit Zhang claimed a $60,000 score, with 'theNERDguy' ($42,865), 'Ruis Maker' ($30,555), 'jonaj10' ($21,781) and 'EndlessJ' ($15,526) making up the top six. 'Ifkata' was crowned the Event #37-Low ($22 Eight Max No Limit Hold'em) champion for $26,777 after they eliminated 'stuupid5' into the runner-up spot for $19,081. Germany's ''ArekSocal' completed the top three and binked their best recorded online cash for $13,601. As Day 11 of SCOOP drew to a close there was still time to complete one more tournament as 445 players took part in the $55 2nd Chance Heads-Up Shootout. PokerStars pro and popular Twitch streamer Lex Veldhuis finished a respectable 11th place for $384 with 'rrssrrss' taking the win for $4,034 ahead of 'IDOLLS' who finished second for $2,567. 7. As this year's Spring Championship of Online Poker edges closer to its final few days of play 12 more titles were handed out on Thursday but nobody walked away with a bigger score than 'Remi Lebo_10'. The Ukranian grinder won a massive $236,000 on Day 13 of SCOOP after he was crowned Event #45-High Thursday Thrill champion. 'dadowiec' was able to defeat 'Vico$carpini' heads-up to win Event #44-High ($530 Six Max NLHE) for $75,202, with the Brazilian runner-up banking $52,400. The $55 'Medium' crown went to 'El Pulgoso', who picked up their first SCOOP title after defeating 'sprocketsAA' for the first-place prize of $28,747. In the $5.50 'Low', 'cl1nt0n','Reiarturo','Harald308' and 'zachuPL' agreed to a four-way money-deal before 'cl1nt0n' went on to claim the victory and a $5,655 score. Event #45 saw the conclusion of both the Thursday Thrill and the Mini Thrill as 'Remi Lebo_10' and Ben 'jenbizzle' Jones picked up the wins. 'Remi Lebo_10', who is currently ranked #2 in Ukraine just behind high-stakes crusher Roman Romanovsky, came through a tough final table that featured former world #1's 'p0cket00' and Joao Simao, Simon 'IgorKarkarof' Pedersen, 'hneves182' and Razvan 'razvyqq' Belea. Maszat 'noirduck' Marci was the Ukrainian's opponent heads-up before the Hungarian fell and took the $91,008 runner-up prize as former Sunday Warm-Up champion 'Remi Lebo_10' collected their first SCOOP title and a prize total worth $236,782 (including bounties). The UK's Ben 'jenbizzle' Jones picked up his second SCOOP title of the series after a gold medal in the 'Medium' Mini Thursday Thrill. Jones collected his largest online cash to date just eight days ago when he won Event #14-Low for $162,039 and proved it wasn't a fluke by going all the way once again for a total of $93,446 (including bounties). 'deeflame7' was the player he defeated heads-up and they claimed a total of $47,238 for second place. 'ScarantoLeo' navigated their way through the sizeable 13,415 player field in the $22 'Low' to bank $21,285. It was another example of the SCOOP series giving players the chance to win big scores for low buy-ins, with 'Ninelichkaa' collecting $12,925 as runner-up. Event #46 saw another set of 8-Game tournaments come into the SCOOP mix as 'jutrack' took down the $530 'High' for $34,440. On the final table of six, PocketFives' Germany #1 'nilsef' was the first to exit for $6,560, with former world #1 'shaundeeb' taking fourth for $13,120. After 'ROBBED6969' took away $18,860 for third, 'KeysOfCyprus' was left to do battle with 'jutrack' but ultimately had to settle for the silver medal prize of $25,092. A three-way deal in the $55 'Medium' saw 'TheAmazonas' earn $6,144 for third-place, 'BlackJJesus' pick up $5,575 for second-place and 'gangst3rn1' the title alongside $7,617 in first. The $5.50 'Low' was taken down by 'calvin7v' for $2,130 after they eliminated 'ohhsuitsusir' into second for $1,554. The final tournaments on Day 13 of SCOOP saw Event #51 3-Max Turbo Zoom No Limit Hold'em PKO. Daniel 'starwins :)' Petersen came out on top in the $530 'High' for a total of $75,564 after he defeated 'wubblepig' heads-up once a deal was agreed. The runner-up took away a total of $42,416 for their share of the deal, with well-known UK grinder Tom 'Jabracada Hall' also banking a total of $16,758 after he finished in fourth-place from the 1,190 player field. Gustavo 'PIUlimeira' Goto won the $55 'Medium' for $30,865 after David 'daveyt86' Tompkins had exited in second-place for $16,215. Ireland's Paul 'ros1987' Allen took third-place for a total of $13,995 after Arthur Souza de Campos exited in fourth for $7,822. And in the $5.50 'Low', 'Stathis SP#3' was the final player standing from the 16,080 player field to earn the title and a total of $5,993 after they defeated 'costa1102' heads-up, who won a prize of $3,689, including bounties. 8. It seems that Ukrainian players have decided to make the 2018 PokerStars Spring Championship of Online Poker their own little playground. While Roman 'Romeopro' Romanovsky has picked up two wins and a High Roller runner-up finish to challenge 'C Darwin2' for the #1 spot in the world, another Ukrainian was busy taking down the first six-figure score of his career. Andriy 'Andre_Hansen' Lyubovetskiy beat out 3,190 other players to win Event #31-High ($530 No Limit Hold'em Sunday Million Special Edition) for $229,784.45. Canada's 'AZNInFiLtRaT' finished runner-up for $162,480.93. 'trickyone14' rounded out the six-figure scores, taking home $114,891.47 for finishing third. 'Slaassh' beat out 11,272 players to win the Medium version of the event to take home $73,676.61 while 'n1ckoftime' earned $9,088.58 for winning the Low version. He topped a final table that included Jorryt 'TheCleaner11' van Hoof and former #1-ranked Joao 'IneedMassari' Simao. 'ROFLshove' added a second SCOOP title to his resume, winning the Event #32-Medium ($1,050 Six Max Pot Limit Omaha) for $121,773.21. The win comes one year after his win in the SCOOP Main Event (Medium). 'NikolayBibov' got the title and $38,283.14 after chopping the Low version of the same event. Rui 'RuiNF' Ferreira topped Event #30-High ($2,100 Six Max No Limit Hold'em) for $196,407.42 and the second SCOOP title of his career. Jerry 'hummylun' Wong picked up his second SCOOP title of 2018 when he beat out 3,151 players to win Event #35 Low ($11 Five Card NLO8 Six Max). He picked up $5,761.37 for the win. 9. Steve 'BetrThanPhil' Tripp took the headlines on Day 3 of the PokerStars Spring Championship of Online Poker after grinding his way to victory in Event #8 (High) for a score of $100,343. After 12 more events came to their conclusion on Tuesday, Tripp claimed his first SCOOP title after defeating "0PIGGYBANK" heads-up, with the latter taking away $86,213 after a deal between the two players had been agreed. It was Tripp's second largest recorded online cash after he won $193,804 for taking down FTOPS Event #9 back in 2010. Alex 'lynskey99' Lynskey came through an 8,562 player field in Event #8 (Medium) and claimed the first-place prize of $60,073. 'Kobasteris' was the player to lose the heads-up battle and took away $42,472 in second place. The biggest field of the day came in Event #8 (Low) after 27,101 players paid the $11 tournament entry fee and created a $265,589.80 prize pool, with Marcos 'Marcos Epa' Epaminondas taking the majority share. The Brazilian's prize for outlasting the enormous field was $13,172, the honour of a SCOOP title to his name and his largest recorded online cash to date. In Event #7 (High), 'aDrENalin710' beat out 120 opponents to win a score of $27,202, with 'BelovCaXa' banking $12,246 after securing victory in Event #7 (Medium). Russia's 'Iwantbearich' narrowly missed out on adding a SCOOP title to their previously won PokerStars MicroMillions gold medal after losing a heads-up battle to 'kagor82' in Event #7 (Low). The victor bagged a score of $4,841 with the Russian having to settle for a second-place prize of $3,371. Day 3 saw the first HORSE events of this year's series played out with 'CMoosepower' beating Luke 'lb6121' Schwartz to the title in Event #9 (High). Schwartz already has five SCOOP titles to his name, but the Brit was unable to attain his sixth on this occasion and had to settle for the runners-up prize of $24,800, with 'CMoosepower' earning $34,800 for the win. Event #9 (Medium) saw Russia's 'Zapahzamazki' record their second largest online cash after they came through an 823 field to take the title for $15,431. Thomas 'sandman201' Taylor was able to cash in all three of the HORSE events, which included victory in Event #9 (Low) for $5,625, and a near-final table miss in the 'High' after he exited in 10th place. Event #12 saw three Six Max 'Win the Button' PKO No Limit Hold'em tournaments played out with 'corsei', '88pro88' and 'alberto.m7' taking the titles. $4,381 was added to the bankroll of Romania's 'corsei' courtesy of their win in Event #12 (Low), The UK's Tommy '88pro88' Lawrence followed up on his impressive Sunday Million victory last month by taking down Event #12 (Medium) for $27,700, and last but certainly not least, 'alberto.m7' took the win in Event #12 (high) for $56,828 after seeing off the Brits Jonathan 'proudflop' Proudfoot and Conor '1_conor_b_1' Beresford into second and third place respecitivelty. 10. The final day of PokerStars Spring Championship of Online Poker 2018 went into overtime, but as the final cards were dealt, Austrian grinder 'Tankanza' emerged victorious after taking down the SCOOP (High) Main Event for a $1.13 million score. That event was one of three Main Events to finish on Tuesday as the 17-day festival ended. As expected, the $10,300 buy-in High Main Event final table was a star-studded affair with two former #1-ranked PocketFivers and a Triple Coop winner. 'Tankanza' eliminated the Triple COOP winner, Thomas 'WushuTM' Muehloecker in sixth while the two former #1s couldn't stay out of each other's way and Chris 'Big Huni' Hunichen sent current #1, 'lena900', to the rail in seventh. Hunichen went out in third place leaving 'Tankanza' and 'nailuj90' to battle for the title and seven-figure score. It didn't take too long for the final two players to start talking deal but 'Tankanza' had no interest in giving up any equity and the only thing the two players could agree on was to continue playing. It took almost four hours before 'Tankanza' picked up just his second elimination of the final table by busting 'nailuj90' to claim victory. 'nailuj90' took home $837,473.81 as runner-up. There were a total of five players at the final table from Austria: 'Tankanza', 'nailuj90', 'mikki696' (4th), Muehloecker (6th), and 'caaaaamel' (8th). Even with all the money at stake at each of the Main Event final tables, none of them managed to find common ground for a deal to be made. 'Wildace_hun' outlasted 3,846 other players to win the Medium Main Event for $783,165.95 while runner-up 'VICTOR TXR1' had to settle for $545,685.82. Johannes 'Greenstone25' Korsar picked up just over $89,000 for finishing seventh. The Low version Main Event, with a $109 buy-in, had a massive field of 18,511 plus 7,850 re-entries, to put the total prize pool to just over $2.6 million. Germany's 'Cashcid Linc' walked away with the title and $267,583.62 after beating 'marjanko89' heads-up. 11. There was one last chance for players to hit top form before Sunday's Spring Championship of Online Poker Main Event tournaments get underway, as Canada's 'D PitcherAK' continued their hot streak to win their third title of the series and $197,847. If you've had the opportunity to sit back, relax and listen to the latest PocketFives 'The Fives' podcast you will be aware that PocketFives President and Editor in Chief Lance Bradley, and fellow writer Matt Clark, discussed the real possibility of a triple SCOOP title winner this year, with a host of big names sat on two already. Lance reached out to PokerStars this week to clarify whether there had been a triple SCOOP title winner in a single series and they responded to say they had no record of this occurrence happening before. So despite reports in Italy saying that one player did achieve this feat way back during SCOOP series three, it would seem 'D PitcherAK' has done the impossible in Event #49-High ($1,050 No Limit Hold'em). As the 1,267 player field whittled down to the final nine, there was an array of well-known crushers all looking to claim the $197,847 first-place prize. 'BetForNympho', Dennis 'DBerglin' Berglin, Alexandru 'alexxt7' Farcasanu, 'Killer_ooooo', 'bustoville' and Felipe 'mr.salgado30' Salgado all departed to leave the final three to do battle. 'TiltzPhil' took the bronze medal for a six-figure score of $104,270, which left 'Timonpoika' the only player standing between 'D PitcherAK' and a prestigious third series title. The Event #41-M and Event #18-M champion stood their ground and made it a hat-trick of titles after 'Timonpoika' fell in second-place for $143,630, and with two more days of SCOOP left to go, there is plenty of opportunities for 'D PitcherAK' to make it four! The Event #49-Medium ($109 No Limit Hold'em) title was won by Fedor 'ftruncev' Truntsev after a three-handed deal was agreed. 'TranquilMind' accepted a prize of $45,922 before they exited in third-place with 'Anton720' settling for $45,500. The Russian Truntsev was able to defeat 'Anton720' heads-up and improved their bankroll by an impressive $51,159. There was another three-handed deal in the $11 'Low' as 'LuckForWhat' took the majority share and the title. 'El Magnif1co' fell in third-place post-deal and was awarded their agreed upon amount of $12,311 before 'sjeverest' was knocked out for $11,586 by 'LuckForWhat', who banked $16,317. Anton 'antesvante' Wigg, Aaron Been, Charlie 'JIZOINT' Combes and Renato 'renaton' Nomura all made the final table of Event #47-High ($530 Eight Max No Limit Hold'em) before '69sBigLick' and 'Panini1234' agreed to a heads-up deal. After 'Bigfish112392' took third-place for $38,292, the final two agreed upon how the remaining prize pool would be shared before the play resumed with 'Panini1234' taking the victory. Runner-up '69sBigLick' banked $58,794 with the winner scoring $64,583. Another deal was made in the $55 'Medium' as 'sgsabioni' took the biggest prize worth $25,000, but not the title. After Carlos 'ellocoferasi' Ronielle, 'OMGRubCasco' and former Super Tuesday winner Jerry 'Perrymejsen' Ödeen had departed from the final six, the remaining three players struck a deal. 'SOUFODAMS' agreed to $18,000 before they exited with a bronze medal, and 'sgsabioni' was awarded the largest share worth $25,000. However, they could not go the distance and take the title as well after 'WestCliff21' pulled it back to claim victory and a prize worth $23,349. And in the $5.50 'Low', Brazil's Rodolfo 'Polsk2601' Vargas outlasted 12,140 other players to claim the first-place prize of $7,670, after he eliminated 'Busuzima102' during heads-up play for $5,457. Former PocketFives world #1 Joao 'INeedMassari' Simao picked up a SCOOP title to go alongside their WCOOP win in Event #48-High ($2,100 Six Max PLO Win the Button). The current Brazil #2 won $100,782 for coming through the 264 player field and beat 'magiet12' into second-place for $74,703. The Brazilian's win comes days after their fourth-place finish in Event #45-High for $48,806. The $215 'Medium' was won by 'pm_marke' for a prize of $31,694 after a heads-up battle with 'ItsMyTurrn'. WCOOP title holder ''omaha4rollz' had taken third-place for $15,387 before play resumed with the runner-up 'ItsMyTurrn' ultimately departing for a score worth $22,083. 'st1ft' went the distance on the $22 'Low' final table that featured 'IlDepredator' and 'ImluckNuts'. LPE22' was able to battle their way into second-place for $7,925 with the title winner 'st1ft' banking $11,377. Event #50 saw the final tournaments take place on Day 14 of SCOOP and the introduction of Badugi. Event 04#-M Sunday Million champion' XD89lol<3' could only make it to fourth-place for $8,835 in the $1,050 'High' before the final three players talked numbers. 'aDrENalin710' was happy with $16,477 and was then the first to fall. Adam 'Adamyid' Owen agreed to take $17,919 before failing to beat Andrey 'Kroko-dill' Zaichenko heads-up. The Russian, who already has two bronze medals so far this series, went the distance this time for a prize worth $21,171. The $109 'Medium' title went to 'silna_rakia' after they got the better of 'High' final table member 'raidalot', who this time earns $4,873 for second place.
