  1. Once again, the top spot in the PocketFives.com Worldwide Rankings belongs to the super Swede ‘C Darwin2’. Though he slipped just beneath the 12,000 PLB point threshold that he’d been keeping for the past couple weeks, the phenom enjoys a lead of well over 2,000 PLB points from the next closest player. ‘C Darwin2’ continues to put the pressure on those who would look to catch him with a pair of qualifying cashes this week, both resulting in five-figure scores. This included a runner-up finish in Event #131 of Winamax’s W Series for $13,553 and 193.63 PLB points. Another reoccurring theme in recent weeks has been top-tier players taking their shot at dethroning ‘C Darwin2’ and this week it’s ‘hellohellohello’s turn. The Russian has ascended to the #2 ranking for the first time in his career after going on an absolute tear on April 8. He earned over $85,000 on that day alone, the bulk of it thanks to his victory in the bwin.com Super Sunday Super High Roller where he took home $48,750 and 387.30 PLB points. He also notched another pair of qualifying cashes helping him become the latest player that could conceivably make the steep climb to the #1 perch. Last week’s #2, Andres ‘probirs’ Nemeth, drops back to the #3 ranking this week mostly due to low volume. He was unable to record any qualifying cashes and so he slips from his career-high ranking but remains a mere 188.13 points behind ‘hellohellohello’. Sweden’s ‘lena900’ also took a small step backward as he also had but a single qualifying PLB cash this week. A final table finish in the $2,100 Sunday High Roller on PokerStars resulted in a $15,592 score and 170.27 PLB points. That result also helped ‘lena900’ cross $9.5 million in lifetime earnings and with some huge online series coming up in the next month, including PokerStars SCOOP and partypoker’s POWERFEST, he may find himself a member of the prestigious $10 million club sooner than later. Rounding out the top 5 this week is ‘European’, who maintains his same ranking from last week with the help of a final table finish in the PokerStars Bigger $215 for $3,213 and 110.79 PLB points. It should be noted that like Nemeth and ‘lena900’ just ahead of him in the rankings, ‘European’ maintains a PLB score of above 9000. Any one of these elite players could find themselves in the midst of a heater and rocket up the rankings to be the next player to challenge ‘C Darwin2’. The bottom half of the top 10 saw very little movement this week with both Steven ‘SvZff’ van Zadelhoff and Ramiro ‘Ramiro’ Petrone both holding fast in their respective #6 and #7 positions. While van Zadelhoff seemed to be taking a breather, Petrone put in work and recorded three qualifying PLB cashes. The three podium finished totaled nearly $25,000 in earnings for the Argentinan and has him in position to make another run back into the top five. Roman ‘Romeopro’ Romanovsky and Conor ‘1_conor_b_1’ Beresford swapped places with Romanovsky rising to the #8 rankings and Beresford slipping to #9. Beresford didn’t have any volume to speak of this week while Romanovsky took third place in the PokerStars $530 Bounty Builder Hight Roller for over $18,000 and 233.78 PLB points, enough to help him shift up this week. Johannes ‘Greenstone25’ Korsar completes the top 10 this week. The Swedish grinder with over $11 million in lifetime earnings, joined those would take their foot off the gas this week, likely preparing for the large volume series that are right around the corner. 2. It’s another week atop the PocketFives Rankings for the Swedish sensation, ‘C Darwin2’. He managed to, once again, put distance between himself and those who would challenge his #1 ranking by vaulting over the 11,000 PLB mark with his runner-up finish in Event #70 of PokerStars Turbo Series. The deep run added a monster 687.22 PLB points to his total, keeping his countryman, the #2-ranked ‘lena900’, trailing by over 1000 points. It also netted him over $161,000, far and away, 'C Darwin2's biggest score of 2018. Speaking of big scores, Ramiro ‘rayastar’ Petrone scored a second place finish in the PokerStars Turbo Series Main Event for massive cash of $282,436 and 1086.29 PLB points. The result was a career-high haul for Petrone and also propelled him into the worldwide #3 ranking, also a new career-high for the Argentinan. Also of note: Petrone seems to have removed his now recognizable moniker of 'rayastar' and replaced it with his first name of 'Ramiro'. Roman ‘Romeopro’ Romanovsky also rose in the ranks this week, climbing to #4 with the help of a top 20 finish in Event #70 of the PokerStars Turbo Series for $13,863. The Ukranian currently sits less than 100 PLB points behind Petrone and should he be able to climb any higher in the ranks, he will, at least, tie his career-best ranking as he makes the push to $9 million in lifetime earnings. Steven ’SvZff’ van Zadelhoff, despite being back on the grind, slipped one spot this week to rest at #5. He did pick up a pair of qualifying cashes this week, including a victory in the PokerStars Daily 500 on March 5 for over $12,000 and 231.30 PLB points. ‘European’, who just last week looked poised to make a run at a top 2 spot, slipped to #6 this week, due to light playing volume. The remaining players in the top 10 including Russia’s ‘hellohellohello’ (#7), Andres ‘probirs’ Nemeth from Hungary(#8) and ‘Ariados’ (#9) and Johannes ‘Greenstone25 Korsar (#10), both from Sweden, all appeared in the top 10 last week, they simply shifted positions this week. Other notable moves in the Top 25 include Pim 'joppiesaus' de Goede jettisoning to #21 (from #65) due to a victory in the PokerStars [Twin Turbo] Main Event for over $143,000. 3. If you follow the PocketFives.com Worldwide Rankings at all in 2018 then you know the story. This week it’s more of the same as the Swedish crusher ‘C Darwin2’ continues his reign as the only player to occupy the #1 spot in all of 2018. ‘C Darwin2’ locked himself up three qualifying cashes and a pair of five-figure scores this week. But when he took first place in the PokerStars Daily 500 for $16,064 he did something less than 20 players in the history of online poker have done before. He surpassed $9 million in lifetime earnings. What is even more amazing is the speed with which he did it. He sprinted through his last million in earnings having achieved $8 million in earnings less than two months ago. He’s one of two Swedish players to eclipse that mark this week and he’s only the 18th player to ever do so. For the second week in a row Russia’s ‘hellohellohello’ holds down the #2 spot in the rankings. He does this despite putting in very low volume and not bringing in any new PLB points. Nevertheless, thanks to his massive scores the week before, his PLB score edged slightly closer to the 10,000 PLB mark. Sweden’s ‘lena900’ and Andres ‘probirs’ Nemeth swapped places in the rankings again this week. ‘lena900’, locking up the #3 rank, put together another stellar week at the tables and boosted his PLB scores with a trio of victories. This included a victory in the PokerStars $55 Sunday Marathon for $18,178 where he ended up besting PokerStars Team Online Pro Lex Veldhuis to take it down. His impressive week brought him four five-figure scores and places him just over 200 points away from re-taking the #2 spot in the rankings. Nemeth, on the other hand, continues his break from the online grind, resulting in his slipping to the #4 rank. The middle of the top 10 rankings remains the same this week as ‘European’ (#5), Steven ‘SvZff’ van Zadelhoff (#6) and Ramiro ‘Ramiro’ Petrone (#7) all hold their ground. Petrone managed the largest score of the three grinders this week when he took down the partypoker $200K Super Sunday Main Event to add over $28,000 to his bankroll. Sweden’s ‘Ariados’ jumps into the top 10 this week, coming in at #8. Earlier we had mentioned ‘C Darwin2’s $9 million achievement, well, his fellow countryman ‘Ariados’ pulled off the same feat in the same week. 'Ariados', just two days before the #1-ranked player, finished as the runner-up in the PokerStars $2,100 Sunday High Roller to earn over $33,000 and put him up over the $9 million mark, becoming the 17th player in history to do so. Then to pad his earnings, he ended up winning the PokerStars €250 Sunday High Roller for an extra $14,880 on the same day. Roman ‘Romeopro’ Romanovsky yielded one place, slipping to #9 this week and the UK's Conor '1_conor_b_1' Beresford wraps up the top 10 this week. 4. Every week The PocketFives Milestone Report looks at the online poker players who are achieving career-best achievement or reaching new heights in the rankings. Dara O’ Kearney Earns 8th Triple Crown Longtime PocketFiver, Irish poker ambassador, and host of the popular The Chip Race podcast, Dara ‘Doke’ O’Kearney earned his eighth career PocketFives Triple Crown on May 8. The accomplishment puts him seventh all-time on career Triple Crowns. He accomplished the feat in short order in the first week of May. At first he took down the 888poker $10,000 Sunday Monsoon for $2,255 on May 6. The very next day he won Event #12-H of the partypoker POWERFEST series for $13,333. Then he completed the task with a gold medal in the PokerStars $215 Super Tuesday on May 8 for another $8,296. Three days led to three victories for O’ Kearney as he continues to rack up the accolades. Joining him in achieving Triple Crowns during the same week is Bryan ‘bparis’ Paris. Paris, who is fifth on the PocketFives all-time money list with over $10 million in lifetime earnings, earned his sixth Triple Crown on May 10. Like O’ Kearney he scored qualified victories on PokerStars, partypoker, and 888poker within a matter of four days. Hungary’s ‘flashxx’ also got in on the Triple Crown action, reaching her very first on May 11. She used victories on PokerStars, PokerStars.es, and partypoker to earn the accolade. ‘flashxx’ is currently just $6,000 shy of surpassing $300,000 in lifetime earnings. Major Money Milestones Former Worldwide #1-ranked online player Chris ‘Getting Daize’ Oliver became just the ninth player all-time to surpass $10 million in lifetime earnings. He sealed the deal with a final table appearance in Event #4-HR of partypoker’s POWERFEST that earned him over $25,000. Oliver’s storied career includes reaching the #1-ranking twice, earning a Triple Crown and becoming the 2010 Yearly PLB Champion. Now, he’s in one of the most elite clubs on PocketFives and despite everything he’s achieved, he continues the daily grind with an eye on $11 million. Andres ‘probirs’ Nemeth, the current #3-ranked player in the world, hit a major milestone of his own after passing $8 million in lifetime earnings. He flew past the mile marker with a career-high cash of over $576,000 by winning Event #14-H the $25,000 High Roller of PokerStars SCOOP series. Right behind him are a pair of longtime PocketFivers who just surpassed $7 million in lifetime earnings. Both Fabrizio ‘SixthSenSe19’ Gonzalez and Calvin ‘cal42688’ Anderson used the mammoth summer series to rack up enough earnings to push them past the $7 million. Gonzalez took second in POWERFEST Event #45-HR for $15,600 to get the job done. Anderson has been destroying the SCOOP fields highlighted by his victory in SCOOP Event #19-H for $126,659. Plenty of other big names have seen big gains recently and soared past the money markers they had been chasing. Both David ‘Bakes’ Baker, Guntis ‘lovefee’ Aleskins and partypoker ambassador Patrick ‘pleno1’ Leonard surpassed $5 million in lifetime earnings. Toronto’s Mike ‘SirWatts’ Watson, Diego ‘MrBittar’ Bittar from Brazil, Huber ‘IamSound’ Stefan from Switzerland and Russia’s ‘Flat’ (currently the #27-ranked player in the world) all joined the $4 million lifetime earnings club. ‘Romeopro’ Climbs To Career-High #2 Ranking Ten players hit career-high marks in the Worldwide Top 100 this week. Of the ten, two players soared to new heights within the top 10 including the aforementioned Guntis ‘lovefee’ Aleskins who earned the #8-ranked thanks to his performance during SCOOP Event #14-M for $240,766 and 1,181.52 PLB points. Roman ‘Romeopro’ Romanovsky had the best weekend of his career winning two SCOOP events in a single week and winning over $834,000, including a career-high cash with his runner-up finish in SCOOP Event #14-H for $442,299. His surge put him within striking distance, for the very first time, of the #1 worldwide ranking. 5. The top-ranked player in Hungary, Andras 'probirs' Nemeth, won over $500,000 on Day 5 of the PokerStars Spring Championship of Online Poker and in the process prevented Roman 'RomeOpro' Romanovsky from collecting an astounding third title of the series. With the bumper buy-in Low, Medium and High Event #14 tournaments all coming to a conclusion on Thursday, the results saw 12 players collect six-figure scores, including Romanovsky who made it to heads-up play on his third bullet in the $25,000 buy-in 'High' and was looking to achieve his third win of the series after taking down Event #16 (High) the day before and Event #2 (High) on Monday. But, Nemeth was the man in his way and ultimately prevented the Ukrainian from achieving the feat to claim his own third career SCOOP title and the first-place prize of $576,087. Romanovsky received $442,299 as runner-up which left the current #12-ranked player in the world less than $200,000 away from the $10M career earnings accolade. Guntis 'poker@luffyD' Aleskins picked up his largest recorded online result to date after banking $240,765 for victory in Event #14 (Medium). Former Sunday Million runner-up Aleskins defeated 'engantil' heads-up for the win, with the latter taking away $171,625 for second place. Also on the final table was 'Lena900' who collected $87,208 in fourth-place and helped 'Team Sweden' close the gap on 'Team BITBRYE' in their much talked about six-figure series prop bet. The UK's Ben 'jenbizzle' Jones overcome Brazil's Ivanildo Limeira in Event #14 (Low) to pick up his first SCOOP title, and a career-best recorded online cash of $162,039. Jones, who is a former Super Tuesday, Sunday Warm-Up and Sunday Supersonic champion, came through the 5,700 entrants field and navigated his way to victory on a final table that also featured 2017 WCOOP Main event third-place finisher, Machadada RS, and Chester20o. Event #15 saw three six-max PLO rebuy tournaments take place with 'Maizeruba', 'igor69' and 'Tr!pleeeee' all adding SCOOP titles to their names. 'Maizeruba' won $9,872 after coming through a 3,891 player field in the 'Low' and 'igor69' was the victor in the 'Medium' for $32,858, after seeing off former Pocketfives world no.#1 'cal42688' into third place. In the 'High' 'Tr!pleeeee' took away a cool $87,042 after beating Mike 'goleafsgoeh' Leah, Jerry 'Perrymejsen' Ödeen and Adam 'adamyid' Owen on the final table. Christopher 'Apotheosis92' Kruk, who featured on the Event #16 (Medium) final table on Day 4, made another SCOOP appearance on Day 5 after collecting the silver medal in Event #13 (High) Triple Draw 2-7 for $38,850. The Canadian was beaten to the top prize of $57,720 by 'merla888' after they successfully came through the 111 player field. 'TheRabbitFR' made up for their runner-up spot in Event #10 (Medium) by going all the way in Event 13 (Medium) to win $15,480. 'TheRabbitFR' beat 'SexualDrag0n' in heads-up play, on a final table that saw Pocketfives members 'komarolo22' and 'hummylun' achieve fourth and fifth place respectively. In Event #13 (Low), 'hapsmoney' beat out 1,726 other entrants to earn the victory and $5,441. 'Flakon2010' was rewarded with $4,058.45 for second place with 'Moergi' picking up $3,022.45 in third place. 6. In the aftermath of the major spring tournament series, the PocketFives Worldwide Rankings had a new look and, for the first time in 2018, a new #1. This week though, it’s quite the opposite. There were very few major moves in the Worldwide top 10, with the majority of online poker’s elite holding steady in the same rankings they held last week. This includes another week at the top for the current ruler of the rankings, Sweden’s ‘lena900’. After taking a brief break at the beginning of the week, the consummate grinder ‘lena900’ (12,657 PLB points) got back on the grind. While he was not able to pick up any qualifying PLB cashes this week, he did score a third-place finish in the May 31 edition of the $109 Mini Thursday Thrill on PokerStars for over $6,700. After his enviable SCOOP and POWERFEST showings though, 'lena900's PLB score still sat well above those looking to catch him, resting at 12,657 this week. Trailing ‘lena900’ is his countryman and one time (and future?) king ‘C Darwin2’ (11,362). Like ‘lena900’ he was back at it this week, but unable to secure a qualifying cash. ‘C Darwin2’ was able to score a pair of podium finishes including a third-place showing in the May 27 edition of PokerStars’ Bigger $109 for $12,451. Putting in very light volume this week was Ukraine’s Roman ‘Romeropro’ Romanovsky (10,592). Romanovsky registered a total of five cashes for roughly $8,500. He continues his march toward $10 million in lifetime earnings, needing just under $70,000 to join the elite club. ‘hellohellohello’ (10,394) maintains his #4 ranking despite not even firing up the online poker client this week. While #5-ranked Andres ‘probirs’ Nemeth (10,298) has a similar idea, only notching three total results for just over $7,000, none of which helped his PLB score. Montreal, Canada’s ‘GINS FINEST’ (9,838) picked up a victory in the May 31 PokerStars Bounty Builder for $7,870 in route to maintaining his career-high #6 spot. Right behind him, again claiming the #7 ranking this week, is Argentinas #1-ranked player Ramiro ‘Ramiro’ Petrone (9,463) who, like many on this list, put in light volume. The first major change to the top 10 comes with the resurgence of Brazilian pro Joao ‘joaosimaobh’ Simao (9,302). Simao continued to move forward this week, picking up two big-time qualifying cashes. The first, a final table finish at the partypoker Super Sunday 1K Deepstack High Roller brought Simao $16,770 and 201.83 PLB points. Then, the very next day, he took down the partypoker Big Bounty Hunter High Roller for another $42,712 and 487.65 PLB points. The results not only propel him five spots on the rankings and back into the top 10, but they put Simao in a great state of mind should he makes his way to the World Series of Poker. The third Swedish player in the top 10, ‘Ariados’ (9,041), slipped to the #9 spot this week. He helped himself remain in the top 10 thanks to his bronze medal finish in the May 27 $2,100 Sunday High Roller on PokerStars for just under $30,000 and 248.08 PLB points. Finally, Pedro ’PaDiLhA SP’ Padilha (8,983) kept his #10 spot this week despite not accumulating any cashes in the period. Other notable moves in the top 25 include Michael 'mczhang' Chi Zhang leaping seven spots to a career-high ranking in the #20 spot. Additionally, 'Sheater' rises one spot to round out the list at #25. 7. There's not much movement in the PocketFives Worldwide Top 10 this week, as eight of the ten spots held steadfast from last week. The difference this week is it seems that the top tier players are slowly coming back to the tables after their post-spring series breaks. Sweden’s ‘lena900’ continues to top the rankings for the fourth week in a row. The powerhouse put in a good deal of volume and scored a pair of PLB qualifying cashes to solidify his position for at least one more week. His week was highlighted by a runner-up finish in the bwin.com KO Series Event #8. He earned just over $10,000 for the finish and tacked on another 208.63 in PLB points. ‘lena900’ also earned a second five-figure score this week in his final table appearance in Event #13 of the same series for $12,671 and 194.66 PLB points. It is very likely that the Swede will surpass $11 million in lifetime earnings in the next 24 hours as he sits just under $1,500 from that major milestone. The #2-ranked ’C Darwin2’ made a hard charge at the top spot this week, having himself a solid week at the tables. He registered four qualifying PLB scores including an outright win in the Winamax Mini Las Vegas Highroller for $46,404 and 414.57. In total, ‘C Darwin2’ accumulated over 1047 PLB points, putting him in position to potentially catch his countryman. Roman ‘Romeopro’ Romanovsky didn’t slip in the rankings, remaining in the #3 spot once again. He also didn’t get in on any action. Romanovsky did not register a score this week, having it only slightly affect his PLB score. Russia’s ‘hellohellohello’ had a similar idea and kept his distance from the online tables. The #4-ranked player in the world only recorded two results this week. They totaled roughly $2,500 in total cashes and no PLB points. While he didn’t give up too much ground, he didn’t gain any this week either. Andres ‘probirs’ Nemeth dabbled a little more than last week but not much more. The fifth-ranked player did hop into a couple tournaments of partypoker’s KO Series. In Event #2 he made a run to the final three tables, collecting a cash of $3,203 for his 23rd place finish. He picked up 107.76 PLB points to go along with it, however, his total output for the week was but four total cashes. ‘GINS FINEST’ from Canada continued to cash in on his current heater. He claimed victory in the PokerStars $2,100 Sunday High Roller for $49,470 and a PLB boosting 464.76 points. His recent results have deemed him as Canada’s #1-ranked player, #6 in the world and on a crash course with $5 million in lifetime earnings. The #7- ranked Ramiro ‘Ramiro’ Petrone put together a nice week this week and scored a pair of five-figure cashes. Both came on June 3. The first was in the PokerStars $2,100 Sunday High Roller, winning him $37,250 and 306.63 PLB points. Then, later that same day, he played on partypoker and, again taking second, he banked another $30,636 in the Super Sunday 1K. Joao ‘joaosimaobh’ Simao has yet to make an appearance at the World Series of Poker, instead continuing to grind online. He picked up 121.50 PLB points in a final table appearance of the partypoker Super Sunday High Roller. He earned $7,244 for that score and it helped him maintain his #8-ranking. The only change in the top 10 rankings this week comes at the bottom where Pedro ‘PaDiLhA SP’ Padilha used a pair of bronze medal finishes on partypoker to overtake the #9-ranked spot once held by Sweden’s ‘Ariados’. ‘Ariados’ slips back to the #10 spot despite picking up a pair of qualifying cashes himself. Other moves in the top 25 include ‘European’ rejoining the top 25, climbing from #28 to #21 this week. Additionally, Johannes ‘Greenstone25’ Korsar surged back to #24, while his fellow Swede ‘Sheater’ departs the top 25, slipping to #26. 8. After weeks of very little movement in the PocketFives Worldwide Rankings top 10, there has been some shifting of spots with two online grinders climbing their way into career-high rankings. At the top of the rankings remains Sweden’s 'lena900'. While he didn’t manage any PLB qualifying cashes, “lena900” continues to pad his bankroll with a pair of five-figure scores this week. His grind was highlighted by a runner-up finish in 888poker’s July 15 edition of The $50,000 Whale for $14,500. He continues his climb to $12 million in lifetime earnings, nearly surpassing the $11.25 million mark. Still trailing the #1 spot by over 1800 PLB points is fellow Swede, and former #1-ranked player, ‘C Darwin2’. He did pick up some valuable points this week when he finished in second place in PokerStars’ June 15 edition of the Hotter $215 for $10,689 and 187.77 PLB points. There’s a new #3-ranked player this week as Russia’s 'hellohellohello' overtook Roman “Romeopro” Romanovsky, who continues to be MIA from the online tables. “hellohellohello” benefitted from the aging PLB scores of Romanovsky, as he was also unable to score any new PLB points, despite making a few appearances online. A new member of the top 5 is Canada’s 'GINS FINEST' who touches #5 for the first time in his career. Like 'hellohellohello' just above him, the Canadian’s one spot jump up is mostly due to a lack of activity from the, now, #6 ranked Andres 'probirs' Nemeth who took the entire week off. Ramiro ‘Ramiro’ Petrone had a healthy schedule this past week, picking up a second place finish in the partypoker Big Bounty Hunter on June 14 for $4,674 and 130.52 PLB points. The top ranking Argentinan is very likely to hit $4 million in lifetime earnings within the next two weeks as he is less than $14,000 shy of the milestone. Sweden’s ‘Ariados’ maintains his #8 rank despite not registering for any tournaments this week. Fabrizio ‘SixthSenSe19’ Gonzalez picks up one spot to land at #9 this week. The UK’s new #1-ranked player, Jonathan ‘proudflop’ Proudfoot is the second player in the top 10 to reach a new career high rank by coming in at #10. In total, Proudfoot made over $26,000 this week over the course of 29 cashes. Proudfoot had been steadily ascending over the course of the past few months and now is only 100 PLB points from taking another step up in the rankings. 9. Perhaps the attention of the poker world is transfixed on the happenings of the World Series of Poker Main Event or perhaps it’s simply a wonderful week to go on vacation, but this week is yet another week of minimal movement in the PocketFives Worldwide Top 10. In fact, the nine out if the top ten players in the world retain their exact same rank as they did last week. This includes Sweden’s own ‘lena900’, who maintains his position as the #1-ranked player in the world. For ‘lena900’ not only did he maintain his position, but he also, somehow, managed to keep his exact same PLB points (12,662.67). While the Swede did not manage to accumulate any PLB-qualifying scores, he was back on the grind this week. He picked up two podium finishes this week including a victory in the bwin.com Sunday Omaha Main Event High Roller for an even $10,000. He backed that up on the same day when he took third in the July 8 edition of the bwin.com Super Sunday High Roller for another $12,000. The lack of movement didn’t really matter this week as he still holds an over 1900 PLB point lead over countryman ‘C Darwin2’. ‘C Darwin2’ also had a quiet week on the PLB point front, but he did cash for over $29,000 this week helping him continue his march to $10 million in lifetime earnings. Also like ‘lena900’, the top-tier pro did not suffer much of a PLB point loss, having only slipped less than one total point. One of the biggest questions in the past month or so regarding the Top 10 has been - where is the #3 ranked Roman ‘Romeopro’ Romanovsky? It’s been nearly two months since the Ukranian pro has logged an online result. That was back in May when Romanovsky logged a career-high score of $442,299. Perhaps he’s simply still enjoying the spoils of his spring series run good. Russian crusher 'hellohellohello' continues his run as the #4-ranked player in the world. This is thanks in part to his third place finish in the PokerStars Sunday High Roller for $17,753 and 179.19 PLB points. While he did not put in an overwhelming amount of volume, he did rack up 11 total results this week - seven of which were worth four-figures or more. Andres ‘probirs’ Nemeth only really took to the online felts on Sunday, July 8 and his results for the day were minimal. He ended the day with three total cashes and without any relevant PLB qualifying scores. Last week he held a nearly 200 point lead over the #6-ranked ‘GINS FINEST’, but this week that lead has degraded to just over 25 points. His decrease in PLB points is simply because of aging scores and not due to anything Canadian ‘GINS FINEST’ did this week, as he did not make a single appearance online this week. Ramiro ‘Ramiro’ Petrone (#7), ‘Ariados’ (#8) and Michael ‘mczhang’ Chi Zhang (#9) all kept their ranking without putting in any volume online. For UK’s Zhang, his excuse is that he is wrapping up a stay in Las Vegas where he participated in the World Series of Poker. So, while he didn’t make any money in online poker, he did manage a 24th place finish in Event #71: $5,000 No Limit Hold’em for $13,110, the same event that wrapped with Phil Hellmuth taking home gold bracelet #15. The one and only change to the top 10 in terms of players this week is Uruguay’s former #1-ranked player Fabrizio ‘SixthSenSe19’ Gonzalez rejoining the top 10 at #10. His rise was due in part to a runner-up finish in the partypoker Super Sunday Deepstack High Roller for $17,500 and 208.63 PLB points. Finally, keeping with the theme of this week - there were no other significant movements in or out of the top 25. 10. It’s yet another summer week without much movement in the PocketFives Worldwide Top 10 as Sweden’s ‘lena900’ continues to ride the wave he had been on for the past two months, retaining the #1 spot. ‘lena900’ did not have a heavy volume week this week, especially for him, but he did manage to book a five-figure score by taking third place in the Super Sunday High Roller on partypoker for $13,050. Even though he wasn’t able to add to his overall PLB score this week, he still maintained a massive lead over his #2-ranked countryman, ‘C Darwin2’. Like ‘lena900’, ‘C Darwin2’ wasn’t able to increase his overall PLB score this week, falling almost 2000 points behind the #1 spot. He did continue to add to his over $9.7 million in lifetime earnings by cashing for over $27,000 this week. At his formidable pace, he’s very likely to join the elite $10 million lifetime club in the second half of 2018. Also grinding his way to $10 million lifetime earnings is Ukraine’s #3-ranked Roman ‘Romeopro’ Romanovsky. While ‘Romeopro’ did only secure five total cashes this week, did manage to pick up 128.33 PLB points through his final table finish in the $2,100 Sunday High Roller on PokerStars. Russia’s ‘hellohellohello’ maintained the #4 spot once again, and picked up a number of big-time cashes in the process. First up, he won the June 24 edition of the Super Sunday High Roller on bwin.com for $32,625 and 269.26 PLB points. Then later in the wee,k he booked another win in the PokerStars $530 Bounty Builder High Roller for $13,424 and an additional 265.52 PLB points. His nice uptick in points has him sitting less than 100 PLB points behind ‘Romeopro’. Hungary’s Andres ‘probirs’ Nemeth once again rounds out the top 5. He maintains his spot moreso because it’s the doldrums of summer than through any results as the grinder only managed to register two total cashes for just over $5,000 and zero PLB points. Ramiro ‘Ramiro’ Petrone checks in at #6, Canada’s ‘GINS FINEST’ takes #7 and ‘Ariados’ from Sweden climbs one spot to #8. Rejoining the top 10 this week is partypoker ambassador Patrick ‘pleno1’ Leonard. He didn’t spend much time online, but through a reduction of PLB scores from a pair of Brazilians, ‘PaDiLhA SP’ and ‘joaosimaobh’ (who has been spotted in Las Vegas at the World Series of Poker), he fell upwards into the top 10. Michael ‘mczhang’ Zhang wrapped up the week at #10, a career-high ranking for the Brit, despite not firing up his online client all week. Other notable moves in the top 25 include a debut from Ukraine's 'Palyaaa', who climbed to the #23 ranking. He achieved the career-high ranking on the back of three PLB qualifying cashes, including an outright win in the PokerStars $530 Bounty Builder for over $13,000 and 264.58 PLB points. For the first time in over a year, former #1-ranked player and PokerStars WCOOP Champion Steven 'SvZff' van Zadelhoff has fallen outside of the top 25. 11. It’s yet another week atop the PocketFives Worldwide Rankings for the Swedish sensation ‘lena900’. Not only has ‘lena900’ spent the entire month of July in the #1 position on the rankings, he’s held that spot since the start of the summer. What makes his run at the top even more impressive is the fact that he’s only had three total PLB qualifying scores for the entire month. The Swede had built up such an impressive lead, thanks in part to his strong showing in the previous spring series like partypoker's POWERFEST and PokerStars’ SCOOP, that he was able to coast on some pretty light volume this month and still maintain the #1 rank. ‘lena900’s countryman ‘C Darwin2’ continues to play catch up and trails the #1 rank by over 1750 PLB points. Helping him close the gap though was a third-place finish in the July 22 edition of the PokerStars Bounty Builder High Roller for $17,131 and 223.84 PLB points. Like much of the top 10 this week, Russia’s ‘hellohellohello’ kept his same rank as last week, coming in at #3. However, he did manage to put together a pair of impressive scores this week. The first was a fourth-place finish in the PokerStars $2,100 Sunday High Roller for $18,323 and 183.64 PLB points. Later that day he made another final table, finishing in fifth place in the bwin.com Super Sunday 1K for another $9,744/156.05. There continues to be no sign of #4 ranked ’Romeopro’ on the virtual felts. This leaves an opening for the #5 ranked ‘GINS FINEST’ to make a run at overtaking him. The Canadian currently trails ‘Romeopro’ by just over 213 PLB points. He helped himself this week by logging on for the first time since July 1 and finishing as the runner-up in the July 24 edition of PokerStars Bounty Builder High Roller for $11,430 and 190.64 PLB points. A similar situation is evolving between #6 ranked Andres ‘probirs’ Nemeth and #7 ranked Ramiro ‘Ramiro’ Petrone. Nemeth has seen his PLB points slipping while on a multi-week hiatus from online poker. The #1-ranked Argentinan Petrone one the other hand has continued to grind resulting in a pair of qualifying PLB scores this week. On July 25 Petrone scores a pair of victories. The first was in the PokerStars Big $215 for $5,362/152.32 PLB points and then he took down the $109 NLHE 6-Max, Hyper-Turbo for another $3,603/134.32. Petrone is within striking distance of overtaking Nemeth, trailing him by roughly 200 PLB points. Jonathan ‘proudflop’ Proudfoot has made a new career-high ranking for the second week in a row. Jumping up two spots to #8, the UK grinder had a big week with a pair of five-figure scores. He won the partypoker Tuesday Major for $13,000 and also took down the PokerStars $530 Bounty Builder High Roller for another $10,760. In total, Proudfoot added 478.98 PLB points to his total this week. Fabrizio ‘SixthSenSe19’ Gonzalez held fast at the #9 position. His week was highlighted by a victory in the partypoker Super Sunday Smooth Deepstack for nearly $15,000 and 279.28 PLB points. Finally, wrapping up the top 10 this week is Patrick ‘pleno1’ Leonard. The #10 ranked Leonard posted a pair of monster results on July 22 including a victory in the partypoker Sunday Big Bounty Hunter for $22,999 and 387.30 PLB points. He then backed that up with a final table finish in the 1K Sunday Big Bounty Hunter for another $13,890/194.66. 12. The dog days of summer have hit the PocketFives Worldwide Rankings as nine of the top 10 players remain the same as last week. This includes another week at the top of the rankings for the Swedish powerhouse ‘lena900’. Usually one to put in a good deal of volume, ’lena900’ put in a very light schedule this week only recording 12 results. Impressively, all 12 of his cashes took place on Sunday, July 1. Of these, two were PLB point qualifiers, including his first-place finish in the PokerStars Hotter $109 for $14,245 and 292.06 PLB points. He also booked a second five-figure finish by winning The Whale on 888poker for another $20,000/223.61 PLB points. In total, ‘lena900’ added just over $50,000 to his bankroll in a single day, adding to his over $11 million in lifetime earnings. ‘C Darwin2’, June’s PLB points leader, remains in the Worldwide #2 spot this week. Like his countryman ‘lena900’, the Swede took the bulk of the week off, managing 11 cashes on Sunday, June 11, none of which added to his PLB point total. He currently trails the #1 spot by an intimidating 1909 PLB points, the type of gap he used to enjoy over his fellow competitors when he was ranked #1. Roman ‘Romeopro’ Romanovsky remains on hiatus from the online grind however, his previous efforts helps him remain in the #3 position. The #4-ranked ‘hellohellohello’ is also taking a major break this week. He only recorded a single cash, but it’s a good one. The Russian took first place in the PokerStars $2,100 Sunday High Roller on July 1 for $38,215 and 316.23 PLB points. He sits a mere 41 points behind ‘Romeopro’ in his efforts to return to the top 3. Andres ‘probirs’ Nemeth also retains his rank from last week, checking in at #5. He added 208.63 PLB points to his total with a silver medal finish in the same PokerStars High Roller that ‘hellohellohello’ ended up winning. Nemeth took him 423,498 for his efforts. There were some slight shifts in the bottom half of the top 10 as ‘GINS FINEST’ climbed over Ramiro ‘Ramiro’ Petrone for the #6 spot. The ranking for ‘GINS FINEST’ is a new career-high for the grinder and he did it with a third-place finish in the PokerStars Hotter $215 where he won $7,477 and picked up 141.66 PLB points. Petrone didn’t put up much of a fight this week, taking the entire week off from the online grind. The rest of the top 10 had the same idea as ‘Ariados’ (#8), Michael ‘mchang’ Zhang (#9) and Pedro ‘PaDiLhA SP’ Padilha (#10) all continued to stay away from the online grind. 13. It took a big week at the online tables by #1-ranked ‘lena900’ in order for him to hold on to his spot in the PocketFives.com Worldwide Rankings again this week. Though the majority of the top 10 remain in the same spots they occupied last week, the online action was plentiful. For ‘lena900’, he turned in a big-time performance on Sunday, August 19 that brought him two victories, over 900 PLB points and over $80,000. The highlight of his week was his victory in the bwin.com Sunday Big Bounty Hunter where he took home over $37,000 of his $80,000. It turns out that 'lena900' needed every PLB point he could muster. What was once a 2000 PLB point lead just weeks ago over fellow Swede 'C Darwin2' has been slimmed down to just over 169. ‘C Darwin2’ is one good week away from recapturing the throne that he held on to for most of 2018. ‘C Darwin2’ celebrated surpassing $10 million in lifetime earning this week. He did it in what may have seemed like a trivial result to the online high roller. He crossed the milestone with a 15th place finish in the August 18 edition of the PokerStars Omania High Roller for $1,647. The was by no means ‘C Darwin2’ best score of the week as he booked three tournament victories this week, two of which for five-figures. This included a win in the PokerStars $215 Monday 6-Max for $17,942 and 318.43 PLB points. On the morning of Monday, August 20, it looked like Russia’s ‘hellohellohello’ was going to finally reach the top spot in the rankings. After all, he had just defeated 5957 runners to win PokerStars’ flagship weekly tournament the $1,000,000 Sunday Million for a career-high cash of $160,888 and 1,091.60 PLB points. Even with his win, the Russian didn’t slow down. He booked two more victories this week as well as two more five-figure scores. In total, ‘hellohellohello’ racked up 1,461.02 PLB points and only sits 489 points behind the #1 spot. He has yet to reach that marker in his career and while he’s sat in the #2 spot once before, he’s never been so close in terms of PLB points. The rest of the top 5 remain the same as Matt ‘GINS FINEST’ Stone retains his #4 spot. Unlike last week, he did fire up the online client this week, however, he was unable to pick up any additional PLB points. Right behind him sits Jonathan ‘proudflop’ Proudfoot, the UK’s #1-ranked player. Like Stone, Proudfoot fired a few tournaments but his results this week didn’t do anything to add to his pursuit of a new career-high ranking. Both #6-ranked Ramiro ‘Ramiro’ Petrone and #7-ranked Andres ‘probirs’ Nemeth continue their vacation from the online grind, perhaps getting ready for the two online super series which begin in under two weeks. It’s another return to the top 10 for former #1-ranked partypoker Ambassador Patrick ‘pleno1’ Leonard. Leonard pulled in some valuable PLB points this week including his runner-up finish in the partypoker Sunday Second Chance High Roller for $9,800 and 156.13. Leonard jumped up three spots this week to land at #8. Will Roman ‘Romeopro’ Romanovsky return for the World Championship of Online Poker? That’s the big question hanging over the world’s #9 ranked player. He hasn’t been seen in online tournaments since May and it’s a testament to his incredible previous scores that he’s maintained a top 10 presence for so long without playing. Wrapping up the top 10 this week is another Swedish sensation as 'Ariados' looks to make another Rankings run. He booked a massive win in the PokerStars Sunday Warm-up for $34,431 and 460.65 PLB points. Other Top 25 notes: With WCOOP right around the corner it’s fitting that the reigning, defending WCOOP Main Event Champion Steven ‘SvZff’ van Zadelhoff returns to the top 25, jumping eight spots to #22. Joining him is Jerry ‘perrymejsen’ Odeen who used a victory in the Hotter $109 on PokerStars to leap back into the top 25, rising 12 spots to end up at #24. If two people enter the top 25, then two must exit and this week that falls to ‘kofi89’ and Chris ‘Big Huni’ Hunichen who both remain right around the top 25 bubble. 14. There is major movement in the PocketFives Worldwide Top 10 this week as a pair of players that have been steadily rising the ranks have broken new ground resulting in a new look top 5. It seems that the stagnant summer has come to a close with some new challengers gearing up to make a run at #1. But in order to take the crown, they have to get by the Swedish sensation that is ‘lena900’. Even though ‘lena900’ spends another week in the #1-ranking, he has also encountered the problem of not picking up any PLB points. In fact, It’s been over three weeks since he’s accumulated any PLB points causing him to steadily losing ground in that regard. What used to be a 2000 point lead over his countryman, and former #1-ranked player, ‘C Darwin2’ has dwindled to about 1000. That’s still a healthy lead, but it’s one that when the major fall online series fire up (WCOOP, POWERFEST), a lead like that can be eclipsed in short order. ’C Darwin2’, who is ranked #2 again this week, is also in a bit of a PLB point drought not picking up any himself this week either. PLB points haven’t been a problem for Matt ‘GINS FINEST’ Stone who, for the third week in a row, rises in the top 10 to a new career-high ranking. Stone is now in a position to make a run at the Swedish domination of the top two spots. Stone picked up a nice score when he finished as the runner-up in the August 5 edition of the PokerStars Sunday 500 for $22,989 and 270.02 PLB points. That, combined with his third-place finish in the PokerStars Omania High Roller for $8,729 and 136.86 PLB points, allowed Stone to cash for over $33,000 in the week. Even though Stone has been making huge leaps in the rankings all summer, he’s going to need some serious results if he wants to break into the next level. He currently sits roughly 1000 points behind ‘C Darwin2’ and that means almost 2000 behind ‘lena900’. With ‘GINS FINEST’ rising that means that ‘hellohellohello’ had to take a step backward, as he slips to the #4 spot. Even though it was light volume, the Russian did spend some time online and was able to pick up over $12,000 and 178.14 PLB points for his final table finish in the August 5 edition of PokerStars’ Sunday 500. Some aging results took their toll on ‘hellohellohello’s total PLB score as he dropped nearly 400 points from last week, even with his score. He still sits just above 9000 points and trails ‘GINS FINEST’ by 374 points. The top 5 also welcomes Jonathan ‘proudflop’ Proudfoot for the first time. Proudfoot, currently the UK’s #1-ranked player, rises two spots to a career-high ranking. He recorded a silver medal in the Thursday Major on partypoker for $5,453 and 131.62 PLB points. As an additional accolade, Proudfoot managed to capture the July PLB monthly leaderboard. Ramiro ‘Ramiro’ Petrone maintained his #6-ranking, despite not logging on to the online tables this week. Joining Petrone in keeping the lowest of profiles online is #7-ranked Fabrizio ‘SixthSenSe19’ Gonzalez and Andres ‘probirs’ Nemeth, who remains in the #8 spot for another week. The top 10 welcomes back Johannes ‘Greenstone25’ Korsar, who leaps five spots to land at #9. Korsar, yet another player from Sweden in the top 10, had a mammoth week on the online felts. Since August 2 he has amassed over $56,000 in cashes. This includes a final table finish in the PokerStars $2,100 Sunday High Roller for $19,970 and 191.72 PLB points. He also picked up back to back victories on PokerStars. The first in the August 6 edition of the Big $109 for $6,030 and 179.16 PLB points. The very next day he won the Daily 500 for another $14,357. In total, Korsar picked up over 1000 PLB points since August 2 and is now in striking distance of his career high ranking of #6, which he last held in 2016. The inactivity finally caught up to Roman ‘Romeopro’ Romanovsky as he slips five spots to #10 and in all likelihood, fall back outside of the top 10 next week. He hasn’t been seen at the online tournament tables since May 28. 15. Both PokerStars and partypoker announced their schedules for their massive fall online poker series this week, which means it’s time for the elite online players in the world to get back to the business of grinding. Once again this week, the PocketFives Worldwide Top 10 Rankings looks very similar to the way it has shaped up for the previous month. There have, however, been some minor shifts in position as players attempt to put themselves in good positions prior to WCOOP and POWERFEST. The top spot in the rankings remains the same as ‘lena900’ enjoys yet another week as the world’s #1. If there’s one player who is expected to anticipate the large guarantees of the fall online series it would be ‘lena900’. After all, it was his superior performances in the massive spring series that helped propel him above the current #2-ranked ‘C Darwin2’. For both of these Swedish superstars, this summer has been a quiet one. Both have spent quite a bit of time away from the online scene. For ‘lena900’ it’s the second week in a row that he’s been unable to capture any PLB qualifying scores, watching his PLB total dip below 12,000 for the first time in over a month. ‘C Darwin2’ on the other hand picked up a little ground by taking home over $21,000 and 279.43 PLB points for his runner-up finish in the July 29 edition of the partypoker Sunday Big Bounty Hunter. A player who is likely eager to pick up some ground this fall is Russia’s ‘hellohellohello’. This week he remains in the #3 spot, over 1000 PLB points from reaching the Swedish duo. Although he was unable to pick up any PLB points this week, he did just recently hit a new career milestone of over $7 million in lifetime earnings. Canada’s ’GINS FINEST’ has finally surpassed Roman ‘Romeopro’ Romanovsky to touch the #4 rank for the first time in his career. He was assisted by a final table finish in the July 29 edition of PokerStars Omania High Roller where he picked up over $6,000 and 109.69 PLB points. The Montreal resident continues to climb the ranks of the top 10 and is currently only 214 PLB points away from making a run at the top 3. Romanovsky slips to the #5 ranking, still keeping his distance from playing online. Putting in his grind though is Ramiro ‘Ramiro’ Petrone who jumps up one spot to #6 this week. Petrone booked over $26,000 in cashes this week, highlighted by a victory in the PokerStars Hot $109 for $6,532 and 187.62 PLB points. In total, he earned 439.44 in qualified PLB points. Another player who has not let off the gas is the UK’s #1-ranked player, Jonathan ‘proudflop’ Proutfoot, who checks in at a career-high ranking of #7 this week. He helped himself hit new heights with a fantastic score of $27,938 and 382.75 PLB points in the July 29 edition of the PokerStars Sunday 500. Proudfoot is knocking on the door of over $2.5 million in lifetime cashes, sitting under $60,000 away from the milestone. It’s likely, with his skill and volume, he’ll reach that mark by the end of the fall series. Andres ‘probirs’ Nemeth slips two spots to #8 on no volume while both Fabrizio ‘SixthSenSe19’ Gonzalez and Patrick ‘pleno1’ Leonard keep their same rankings from last week, #9 and #10 respectively. Other Top 25 Notes: While there was some shuffling in the top 25, there were no new additions. The biggest move of the week belongs to Austria's 'Dattebayo' who jumped up eight spots to land at #13. He picked up a pair of five-figure scores on July 29, including a victory in the partypoker Super Sunday High Roller for $40,828 and 380.79 PLB points. 16. It’s another week at the top of the PocketFives Rankings for Swedish crusher ‘lena900’. The online poker superstar has had the luxury of sitting on a wide PLB point lead for weeks, however, it seems that may be coming to an end. It was yet another week without a substantial PLB score for the Swede and, with some aging results, his total PLB score plummeted over 800 points. This puts him under the 11,000 mark for the first time all summer and well within reach for the #2-ranked ‘C Darwin2’. Despite not picking up PLB points, ‘lena900’ still had a nice week at the online tables booking scores that totaled more than $35,000. This included a victory in the bwin.com $40K Bounty Hunter for $12,651. ‘lena900’s fellow Swede ‘C Darwin2’ one again sits in the #2 spot and now only trails the top spot by roughly 351 PLB points. For ‘C Darwin2’ it wasn’t a matter of climbing the ladder as much as simply holding his position. He did manage a final table finish in the partypoker Sunday Super High Roller to pick up $14,850 however, like his countryman, there were no PLB points earned for the former #1 this week. That cannot be said for Russia’s ‘hellohellohello’ who reclaimed the #3 spot this week. He rose one spot on the back of a victory in the August 16 edition of the PokerStars $1,050 Thursday Thrill where he picked up $27,270 and 378.15 PLB points. In total this week, ‘hellohellohello’ only recorded three cashes, having taken nearly a week off. He currently sits a full 1000 PLB points behind the #2 spot, yet that can all change in an instant one the World Championship Of Online Poker and POWERFEST kick off in early September. Matt ‘GINS FINEST’ Stone takes a small step backward from his career-high ranking of #3 and lands at #4 this week. After putting together a big week last week, it looks as though Stone opted to enjoy a week of summer, staying away from the online grind altogether. Perhaps Stone reached out to a few of his fellow top grinders to pitch the idea of a vacation as he wasn’t the only top-tier pro to go dark this week. Jonathan ‘proudflop’ Proudfoot (#5) and Ramiro ‘Ramiro’ Petrone (#6) both held their respective spots in the top 10 despite continued time away from the tables. It was quite the opposite for Andres ‘probirs’ Nemeth who made his return to the online tournament scene this week. Prior to this week, the last time Nemeth had recorded a score was July 8. His hiatus ended on August 12, as he hopped online and got back in the game. Nemeth played a couple tournaments and picked up some valuable PLB points, 258.54 in total, which helped him climb one spot to #7 this week. He made the final table in two tournaments earning four-figure scores in both. This included a seventh-place finish in the partypoker Sunday Super High Roller for $7,838. Roman ‘Romeopro’ Romanovsky actually rises two spots in the rankings despite still being absent from the online scene. It’s a mix of inactivity and aging scores that lands him at #8. Maintaining his #9 spot is Swedish online legend Johannes ‘Greenstone25’ Korsar. While he wasn’t able to bring in any PLB points this week, Korsar still sits within striking distance of his all-time best ranking of #6, which he touched back in 2016.
