The penultimate Sunday in 2018 saw a final push for players to give themselves an early Christmas present, with Renan 'Internett93o' Bruschi winning the PokerStars Sunday Million for the second time in his career. The Sunday Million attracted 5,471 entrants and featured a $1,094,200 prize pool. Zapan 'MaDnesS100' Eduard, who finished fifth in the Sunday Million on Boxing Day 2016, enjoyed another Christmas gift after he took the bronze medal for $72,776. Last week's third-place finisher 'LEHMATLENTAA' achieved quite the feat, by not only making back-to-back final tables but also improving to a silver medal. The final two players agreed to a money deal with 'LEHMATLENTAA' banking $110,359 before Bruschi won the heads-up battle to walk away with $141,123 and one of the last Sunday Millions titles of 2018. Bruschi's first Sunday Million win came in 2015. 'silentm0de' took down the PokerStars $2,100 Sunday High Roller on a final table that featured Alex 'bigfox86' Foxen, world ranked #1 'Lena900', and Dominik 'Bounatirou' Nitsche. Foxen and 'Lena900' departed in sixth and fifth place respectively, with Nitsche taking fourth place for $19,333. 'Prebz' then departed in third place for $25,145, before 'silentm0de' got the better of '4rebmun' to bank the $42,536 top-prize, with the runner-up taking away $32,704. 'Nolet20' banked over $68,000 after they came through a 425 player field in the PokerStars Winter Series $1,050 8-Max Turbo PKO. 'Armani1974' claimed a podium place in third for $19,810 + $8,328 in bounties before the final battle got underway. 'HITRII999' was then the final player to fall and claimed $27,493 + $5,664 in second place, which left 'Nolet20' to pick up the victory. A 967 player field in the PokerStars $215 Sunday Warm-Up created a $193,400 prize pool with 'Pendos90' claiming the largest share. Michael 'Phanteidos1' Ender took third place for $16,693, 'WhatIfGod' second for $23,003 and 'Pendos90' banked $31,698 after going the distance. partypoker ambassador Kristen 'Krissyb24' Bicknell won the $2,600 Super Sunday High Roller on her partner site for $54,137 after she came through a 71 player-field. The final table featured 'HellmuthTheGr8', who took eighth place, and Bicknell's fellow partypoker teammate Patrick Leonard, who managed a fourth-place finish, among others. 'MechaCorta' added $24,850 to their bankroll for a third-place finish, before Bicknell got the better of 'ucantrybut' heads-up, with the latter taking away $36,387 as runner-up. The $1,050 freezeout tournament came with a $200,000 guaranteed prize pool and saw 197 entrants take part. 'LLinusLLoses' took away $21,100 in third place before 'blackaces93' fought 'rafaelmoraesgm' for the win. But 'blackaces93' fell in second place and settled for $29,600, as 'rafaelmoraesgm' took the spoils for $40,780. World ranked #1 'Drulitooo' only continued his enhance his online reputation after they won the partypoker $1,050 Deepstack High Roller for $26,460. 'NoOnionsBlud' was the unlucky final player to fall, and exited during heads-up to bank $18,900, with 'pioMYASS' taking third place for $13,500. The prize pool reached $1,279,000 after 12,790 players took to the virtual tables and when all was said and done, '42ayay' came out on top.
