  1. It was another prolific month for New Jersey’s #1-ranked online grinder Daniel ‘centrfieldr’ Lupo. Lupo (3,975.55 PLB points) managed to earn results in over 70 tournaments during June, 12 of which he finished in the top three spots. His two largest cashes of the month came from a pair of runner-up finishes. The first came on June 13 in WSOP’s OC Event #46, the $85,000 NLH High Roller, where he added $17,333 to his bankroll and 211.88 PLB points to his total. Then he finished in second again on June 25 during OC Event #94, the $100,000 Sunday Re-entry, for another $24,234/273.30. The latter was Lupo’s top score for the month. In total, Lupo secured 12 PLB-qualifying scores for a total of 1,439.67 PLB points, helping him maintain a thin 119.54 lead over the #2-ranked Michael ‘Gags30’ Gagliano. Galliano (3,856.01), for his part, has been taking time off of the online grind, instead opting to spend his time taking shots at glory during the 49th Annual World Series of Poker. While that doesn’t do anything to help his PLB score, ‘Gags30’ has managed four live scores during the series including bubbling the final table with a 10th-place finish in Event #20: $5,000 No Limit Hold’em for over $27,000. Landing in the #3 spot, David ‘dehhhhh’ Coleman (3,818.05) managed to book sixteen four-figure scores in June. However, his highlight cash for the month was not one of his seven podium finishes. Instead, it came from his seventh-place score in WSOP.com’s OC Event #46, the $85,000 High Roller where he took home $5,147 and 99.92 PLB points. Coleman’s grind brought him just a few dollars shy of $45,000 in earnings during the month and has him within 40 PLB points of catching Gagliano for the #2 spot Yong ‘ykwon17’ Kwon (3,677.31) seemingly couldn’t lose in the month of June. He posted 57 results, 18 of which he finished in the top 3 spots. Of those 18, Kwon won half of them outright. His best two cashes of the month came within two days of each other. First up, Kwon won WSOP.com’s June 17 edition of the $12,500 Weekly Saturday for $4,943. Then on June 19 he backed that up with another win in the PokerStars NJ $250 Super Tuesday for $4,934. In addition to being the #4-ranked player in New Jersey, Kwon is the #349-ranked player in the world. New Jersey’s top 5 is completed this month Jason ‘JLaw’ Lawhun (3,496.89). Lawhun had 12 PLB-qualifying cashes including a monthly high score of $5,349 and 124.50 PLB points in the BorgataPoker.com Mega $535 Tuesday. In fact, the bulk of Lawhun’s June success came on the BorgataPoker.com client as he secured back-to-back runner-up finishes in the Tuesday and Thursday $535 Megas during the week of June 6. Both of which were good for over $4,000. If Lawhun’s July grind turns out anywhere close to his June results, he’ll surpass $900,000 in lifetime earnings as he’s only $13,500 away from that achievement. 2. Another month of an incomplete roster of New Jersey grinders ended the same way June did. Daniel 'centrfieldr' Lupo tops the charts for another month (4.275.97 PLB points) and is the only player in the state over the 4,000 point benchmark. Lupo achieved five wins in July topped off by a $12,950 result on PokerStarsNJ. The NJ Summer Series $1,000 High Roller on July 24 attracted 36 of the state's best and Lupo emerged victoriously by beating competitors Michael 'JohnnnyDrama' Haberman and Michael 'Gags30' Gagliano on the tournament podium. Overall, Lupo earned 12 top-3 finishes and his career online earnings are up to $1.765 million. David 'dehhhhh' Coleman jumped over Gagliano to take second place for this month. Coleman was in Las Vegas for a week at the start of July and overcame the lack of volume to achieve 12 medals and three golds. The last Sunday of the month proved to be a profitable one. Coleman took third place in the PokerStarsNJ $10,000 GTD High Roller and the NJ Summer Series Main Event to top $12,700 in gross earnings. He wasn't done there. The partypokerNJ $40,000 GTD ended with Coleman in the winner's circle to collect the $7,455 first-place prize. Gagliano fell a spot in the rankings but still had himself a productive month. In only a week of play, Gagliano won the NJ Summer Series $25,000 GTD Six-Max for $6,056 and then place third in events on partypokerNJ and PokerStarsNJ. Gagliano's summer in Las Vegas featured six cashes with the best result coming in the $5,000 NLH Big Blind Ante event where he took 10th place for $27,208. Jason 'JLaw' Lawhun and Yong 'ykwon17' Kwon traded spots on the leaderboard at the fourth and fifth positions. Lawhun jumped a spot thanks in part to a full month of volume which equaled 37 cashes. Two of those scores were wins including a July-ending triumph in the $7,500 GTD KO on WSOP.com. The win came with $3,225 to put Lawhun within $80,000 of cracking the $1 million mark in career online earnings. Kwon didn't jump online until the second to last weekend in July. In that span, he gained a single win on partypokerNJ. Overall, his career earnings are up $1.6 million effective, leaving him only $70,000 behind Jeremy 'Jermz' Danger for New Jersey's all-time tournament winner. Ryan 'shipthesherb' Hohner held onto sixth place for another month. Hohner cashed a few times upon his return to New Jersey but is awaiting his first major post-WSOP score. While in Las Vegas for the full summer, Hohner cashed in the WSOP Main Event for $33,305 in 413th place to close out his campaign. Seventh place in the NJ rankings belongs to Haberman. Two wins in the $30 $7,000 GTD R&A on WSOP.com for $6,472 total are the primary highlights of Haberman's online month. He also took third in the WSOP.com $100,000 GTD Sunday Special on July 23 for $10,322. On the live side, Haberman also cashed in the Main Event in the same pay slot as Hohner for his 359th place result. Ted 'ol muggins' Ely jumped back into the rankings with his eighth-place standing. Ely's July included 12 podium results and two wins. The best of the bunch was the July 12 PokerStarsNJ $7,000 GTD Nightly where Ely claimed the $2,364 first-place prize. 'Thatgood45' also joined the top-10 after a strong five wins in July. 'senor stinks' completes the top-10 for the second month in a row. 3. Yong ‘ykwon17’ Kwon (aka ‘LuckySpewy1’) maintained his #1 spot in the PocketFives United States Online Poker Rankings for another month after he moved to the top of the leaderboard following his World Series of Poker online bracelet win. Kwon currently sits atop the PocketFives USA Online Poker Rankings with 5,914 points. Since the last update, Kwon added three victories, one second-place finish, and one third-place finish in New Jersey online poker tournaments. The three tournaments he won were the PokerStars NJ Nightly Stars $100, $7,000 Gtd for $2,045 and 86.23 points on July 7, the WSOP NJ $7,500 Weekly Sunday Turbo Deepstack [Freezeout] for $2,797 and 101.41 points on July 22, and the WSOP NJ $10,000 Weekly Sunday PLO [Re-entry, 6 Max] for $4,130 and 108.63 points also on July 22. July 22 proved even more awesome for Kwon because that’s the day he took third in the partypoker NJ SUNDAY $35K GTD NLH [3X RE] for $3,815 and 96.77 points. Overall, Kwon now has more than $2.5 million in lifetime online tournament earnings. His volume wasn’t as great as some of the others to make the top 10, but Alexandrov made up for it with some bigger results. Since our last update, Alexandrov has had scores of $7,541, $7,463, $7,261, and $5,920. He won two tournaments on July 17, won another on July 18, and then a fourth on July 22. Of those big scores, the largest came from a fifth-place finish in the WSOP NJ $50,000 Monthly Sunday [Re-entry, 6 Max], also earning him 116.17 points. With Alexandrov’s rise to the #3 spot, Ryan ‘shipthesherb’ Hohner dropped back to #4. David ‘dehhhhh’ Coleman comes in at #5 and he moved up one spot after being at #6 the last time we checked in. Of note, Michael ‘Gags30’ Gagliano dropped out of the top 10 altogether, falling from #5 to what is currently #13. Mike ‘Lav519’ Lavenburg also fell out of the top 10, going from #7 to #16. Those two departures made way for Matt ‘papamat25’ Iles (#9) and Jason ‘JLaw’ Lawhun (#10) to move into the top 10 of the PocketFives United States Online Poker Rankings.
