  2. PokerStars recently announced their WCOOP schedule which gets underway in early September, which gives players just a matter of weeks to find their form before the event along with its huge guarantees takes place. One of Poland's best online grinders has gotten himself off to a fantastic start. 'pyszalek' came through a massive 5,875 entrants in this week's PokerStars Sunday Million to win over $158,000, after 'Tinchoolp768' fell during heads-up play. 'ROSTBURK' took the Sunday Million bronze medal alongside $78,127 before the final battle commenced. After no deals were agreed to on the final table, there was a difference of nearly $47,000 from the first and second place prize. 'Tinchoolp768' was the unlucky player to fall at the last hurdle and banked $111,329, as 'pyszalek' was crowned the champion. Scott 'Aggro Santos' Margereson took third-place in the PokerStars $2,100 Sunday High Roller as 'kitaec80' claimed victory. The heads-up battle between 'kitaec80' and 'frredd' occurred after 95 other entrants had fallen from the field, with the latter the final player to exit for a prize worth $34,818. Margereson's bronze medal finish was worth $26,369, and also marked back-to-back final table appearances after the Brit claimed sixth-place in the event last week. But it was 'kitaec80' who ultimately went the distance and claimed the $45,976 first-place prize. A 1,071 player field in the PokerStars $215 Sunday Warm-Up came together to create a prize pool worth $214,200, with 'Rens02' the player to bag the majority share. 'Coland3r' was rewarded with $17,967 for third, and 'valdemaar74' took away $24,989 as runner-up, which left 'Rens02' to claim the top prize and title worth $34,755. Current world no.#2 ranked player 'HellmuthTheGr8' took down the partypoker $1,050 Sunday High Roller 6-Max after a heads-up deal was made with 'MisterN411'. 106 entrants meant the $100,000 gtd was broken and the top 12 places paid. 'MaXiMuSpkr' took the bronze for $12,720 before the final two players made a deal. 'MisterN411' agreed to $25,610 and ultimately exited in second-place as 'HellmuthTheGr8' or 'C. Darwin2' as he is more commonly known, picked up the win for $28,216. The familiar name of 'MisterN411' popped up once more on the Sunday Major final tables and this time their name was first in the prizes list, rather than second. 'MisterN411' took the silver medal on partypoker after a heads-up deal in the 6-Max High roller, but did one better in the 888poker $1,050 The $80,000 Whale after they claimed victory in the 77 player field. 'J0hnmccl3an' was the third-place finisher and banked $12,000 before the heads-up battle was set with 'MisterN411' facing off against 'guydeet39'. The winner would take home an additional $10,000 and 'MisterN411' who claimed it for a total prize worth $28,000, with 'guydeet39' taking the consolation prize of $18,000 in second place. 3. The final Sunday of online poker action in 2018 saw former PocketFives.com #1 ranked player Patrick 'pads1161' Leonard bank over $112,000 after he achieved both a Gold and Silver medal finish. In the biggest event of the day, the PokerStars Sunday Million, 5,597 entrants created a $1,119,400 prize pool with former WCOOP champion 'Erickie' going the distance to win $151,184. 'Gossimer007' departed in third place for $74,452, before Canada's 'pisky16' lost out to Holland's 'Erickie' during heads-up and settled for $106,092 as runner-up. The PokerStars $2,100 Sunday High Roller title went to the Patrick Leonard after he came through a 98 player field. PokerStars Team Pro Liv Boeree was the first player to depart from the final table of nine before 'ga207' and 'imluckbox' also hit the rail. Scott 'AggroSantos' Margereson and Connor 'blanconegro' Drinian then took sixth and fifth place respectively followed by Conor '1_conor_b_1' Beresford in fourth place. The U.K.'s 'bk0705' just missed out on a place in the heads-up battle and exited in third place for $27,688, which left Leonard to get the better of 'huang33', who took away $36,011, leaving Leonard to win the $46,837 top prize. But Leonard wasn't done for the day and continued his form into the PokerStars Winter Series 29 - High: $530 NLHE, $500K Gtd event. This time around however there was a much bigger field for Leonard to compete against with 1,155 entrants creating a $577,500 prize pool. But the Brit navigated his way into the top three once more and found himself in a second heads-up battle of the day after America's Grayson 'gray31' Ramage hit the rail with a bronze medal for $47,060. But it turned out to be bittersweet for Leonard, who was unable to complete the double and exited as runner-up for $66,018, as '0409479' took the win for $92,614. Canada's #1 ranked player Connor 'blanconegro' Drinan banked over $129,000 for victory in the PokerStars Winter Series 28 - High: $2,100 NLHE [8-Max, Progressive KO, Sunday Warm-Up] event. The prize pool was set at $736,400 after 3,682 entrants took part, and when the field had been reduced to the final three, a money-deal was agreed to. Brazil's Vinícius 'vinimiranda7' Miranda then departed with the bronze medal for $38,444 + $11,395 in bounties, before Guite saw off the challenge from 'sorakasa' heads-up. The latter received $38,435 + $6,945 in bounties for their share of the deal, and Guite banked $40,114 + $28,652 in bounties along with the title. 4. 'benasg' came through a colossus 13,228 player-field in the PokerStars Sunday Million to turn $109 into $129,213. This was just the second week of the revamped lower buy-in event, and it once again proved popular with the prize pool set at $1,322,800. PocketFiver Jonathan 'Gil3000' Gill just missed out on a place at the final table, after he fell in 10th place, before 'parisjoe', 'Fieldmice1', 'FiltrMan', 'Japa Bill', 'XuYandex', and 'verkannt' departed to leave the final three. 'pharaohus' ultimately took the bronze medal for $68,043, before 'Barkieboy NL' just fell short of the title and walked away with $93,762, which left 'benasg' to claim the glory. A heads-up deal in the PokerStars $215 Sunday Warm-Up paved the way for 'dadowiec' to claim this week's title, with Finland's 'Hasseh922' finishing in second place. The entrants total once again crept over four-figures with 1,099 players creating a $219,800 prize pool. 'Tomatee' ended their deep run with a strong $18,437 score in third-place before the final two shook virtual hands on a money-deal. 'Hasseh922' then found themselves as the final player to hit the rail and took $28,847 for their share of the deal, as 'dadowiec' sat the top of the podium for $32,460. 'MCvisitor' defeated '8_Spizzico_9' heads-up to claim victory in the PokerStars $530 Bounty Builder High Roller for over $81,000. 1,090 entrants created a $545,000 prize pool, with 'Progre69' walking away with over $23,000 for a fourth-place finish. Phil 'philroyal888' Mighall took the bronze medal for $23,822 + $2,738 in bounties, before '8_Spizzico_9' fell at the hands of 'MCvisitor' and departed as runner-up with $32,500 + $7,809. 'Remi Lebo_10' just pipped Anatoly 'NL_Profit' Filatov to victory in the PokerStars $2,100 Sunday High Roller and banked $53,919 in the process. The prize pool was set at $246,000 after 123 entrants stumped up the mega-bucks buy-in. Former PocketFives World #1 Calvin 'cal42688' Anderson claimed third place for $31,939, which left Filatov in pursuit of his third gold medal of 2019. But 'Remi Lebo_10' had other ideas and sent the Russian to the rail in second place for $41,498. But Filatov wasn't done there and continued his rich vein of form with a third-place finish in the partypoker $1,050 Sunday High Roller for $23,000. The partypoker ambassador's exit paved the way for a heads-up battle between 'haddoken' and 'RedDwarf9', and it was the former who held on to win the $44,260 first-place prize, with 'RedDwarf' having to settle for the $31,800 runners-up prize. The new partypoker $3,150 Super Sunday High Roller attracted 66 entrants and saw 'MisterN411' taking away the biggest share of the $200k guaranteed prize pool. partypoker ambassador Patrick Leonard was among those to reach the final table but departed in sixth place for $11,000. 'omgitsgiraf' secured the bronze medal worth $28,000 before 'aLiNeNok1617' found themselves hitting the rail as runner-up for $41,000, as 'MisterN411' picked up the $61,000 win. 888poker offered their player pool the rare opportunity to play 'rake free' this weekend, and the promotion saw bumper prize pools created. 743 entrants created a $154,600 prize pool in the $100k gtd $200 Sunday Mega Deep with 'Tedson89' getting the better of 'nixokoftis' heads-up to claim the $29,219 first-place prize. And in the $300 RakeLess Sunday Main Event, Michal 'wywrotx' Wywrot defeated Jans 'Graftekkel' Arends in the final battle to bank $25,137, with Arends having to settle for second place from the 441 player-field for $18,522.
